  1. @Null: Yup thats the workaround I tried to use to fix the snap showing the last game before exiting. If you could do me one more small favor? Can you please post your plugin's settings.xml? @B2K24: No worries my friend!
  2. Thank you but I have a hunch this is isolated to Steam and I'll have to update the class I wrote for it.
  3. @Null: I think that issue is because of something I tried to correct when GameEx logs off. You say when you are playing the Steam game the tag is correct but after you exit GameEx it's wrong? Or after you exit the have it's showing the default no image? Is it just Steam or all emus? I ask because Steam required some magic to make it work and maybe the patch I made two versions ago is broken.
  4. @B2K24: Well... It's working for me and others. I also noticed the GameEx log doesn't show it's even trying to initialize the plugin and the last log is for 1.0.8 which is outdated. Can you go to the plugin manager and double check that it's still enabled?
  5. Hmmmm, that log is from the last event I mentioned in the other thread. Can you post your last GameEx log? That regex error isn't the issue but I'll fix it.
  6. Can you post the tagger log?
  7. That shouldn't have anything to do with GameEx's online features. My plugin is a totally seperate deal. I just ran an sql query on you and it came back that you last updated your tag at 12:30 pm EST with a logout event. Have you played since then?
  8. I would absolutely love to find an old pinball machine carcass but have been unsuccessful this far. A pincab sure would look great in my basement next to my mame cab. I already have an i5 computer with 8GB RAM that's sitting around collecting dust and just waiting to be disassembled.
  9. Well not to drop any insider info but... I plan to support the layer method I use for the tagger, just have to port the class over. Also planning to add video snap support and a fullscreen monitor mode for those fortunate enough to have a digital marquee/additional monitor/etc. Lots of other things in front of that though, I just did a complete overhaul of the variable system (and added some additional ones GameEx doesn't currently support) so I need to update several plugins that use command line flags. In other words, you have plenty of time.
  10. Welcome to programming for hobbyists my friend. I've spent countless hours on thousands upon thousands of lines of code for free.
  11. Unfortunately you're limited to the two options you mentioned. Not a bad idea for a plugin though... Whats it worth to ya? Lol! Not sure if it can be done or not, depends on wether the screensaver passes the command line event. I suspect it does though. Let me get back to ya.
  12. I'm not sure, I don't use PinballX so am unfamiliar with it. But I will do some investigating and get back to you.
  13. PS: Here's the rom variable info. http://www.gameex.info/forums/index.php?/topic/14228-PLUGIN---also-possible-to-get-romname-?
  14. Well all you're going to see is the input being passed, not the function that input is tied to. So the event passes, say, the right arrow key. The plugin doesn't see that this condition is tied to the wheel in any way. The way I got around that in GameEx is by using the menu change event and snatched what menu it was on from there. Is the problem that you can't see the table rom variable at all or you don't know when it gets passed?
  15. Well all the c# template would be is a converted version of the vb.net one which is how GameEx did it. PBX is developed in vb.net mainly anyway. Either way it should be in there if it's not. I also answered the rest of your questions.
  16. 1. Yes. 2. I'll have a look, if there isn't I'll put one together. 3. The Event_Input can be set up to do certain things at certain key presses using a Select Case. Give me an example of what you want to do and I'll show you a quick and dirty block. 4. Immediately after you exit the game and right before it falls back to PBX. 5. The rom variable has been added but it was after I used the plugin template. I would have to look into when it fires, but the hiscore plugin uses it so I know it's there.
  17. I agree, these are smexy! /side note: what color is speed blood? :ninja:
  18. GameEx supports controlling the mouse with a joystick natively actually.
  19. No rockstar for me, that's for keeping my beer cold. That stuffed toy was my dog Laila's favorite before the heart attack. I keep it up there so my new dog Champ doesn't get to it when he's downstairs with me.
  20. Here's a couple, I have some internal ones too but I'm not sure where. Post link
  21. There's pics around here somewhere.
  22. Man I remember the days of counterfeit psp memory cards... I always just shelled out the extra for genuine ones (had a 1, 2, 4, and 8 GB, my camcorder used them too). The 8 GB one I use now is more than enough (I still break it out all the time when I'm not on the 3DS), and I got San Disk sticks for the kids. With the amount of time I put into playing with my PSPs (I've had at least one of every model right up to the Go) it was worth spending a little extra for the shiny sticker. At least when I was huge into that scene counterfeit cards were rampant. Even Amazon had them.
  23. You don't say... you know, a little more information would probably be beneficial...
  24. I have six fans on the back: three on the top to push out and three on the bottom for intake. Heat rises and all. I also have two in the front where the speakers would go pushing out for the red/green lighting mostly. All powered by a seperate modified power supply that handles all my lighting and fans. Thats what works for me anyways.
  25. I actually went with the hardware mounted inside the cabinet. I built a removable "shelf" for the mobo so I can yank it out and/or replace it if needed. The only caveat I hit doing it that way is the video card wasn't in as stable as I would have liked, so I had to fashion a riser out of a bic pen to secure that since there's nowhere to put it without a case and I didn't want it to be loose. Just some things to consider if you decide to go that route next time. One thing I do want to borrow from your design is the network cable in the back. Adding a wall plate is a brilliant idea and I intend to do that this weekend so I can unplug that without having to worry about the extra cable when and if I decide to move it. Unplugging the extra cable is a stroke of genius. Kudos on that!
