I would make sure it runs through the gui first. Then the command line is the easy part. They don't always invoke all code in the core. For example, VBA-M doesn't run Game Boy Color even though the emulator does.

When it comes to Mednafen, you should try RetroArch instead since it uses the same core. Not sure if it runs PC-FX, you'd have to look into that.

At least a few of these should be available in the Evo engine.

I'm not sure personally, I'll check my list but you can turn off verify sets and it will probably get around that. If I'm missing games I haven't noticed.

It should be noted here that if GameEx doesn't quit gracefully (ie crashes) you will need to kill it manually. You can simply do that from the task manager instead of having to restart your machine every time. This also applies to GameExtender since the crash won't send the command to quit it if the exe isn't going through it's closing steps. The same can be said for many apps.

Yeah if you're using blank profiles then that's a GameEx issue. It might be a setting though, I'll look at it.

I think moving forward (at least for the Xpadder plugin) I needed to run a query for the number of game pads the user actually has connected and only apply the profile if there are that many game pads. That way if a user had four profiles and only one game pad is connected it will skip applying the profiles for the other three. Expect that in the next release. It won't solve your issue though if there's problems with GameEx input itself, but in my testing I noted that Xpadder will apply the last loaded profile to the last joystick if there are not the same number of profiles as devices. So for example, joystick 3 would get the profiles for number four.

Ok, so to clarify, using a blank xpadder profile and using joystick controls didn't work either? Or are you saying that the xpadder plugin is applying profile 2 to the first controller?

Is this a plugin? The call that passess through needs to be handled a little differently for attract mode, random, and favorites (for GameEx anyway) in my experience with the plugin system. It's a relatively simple change.

Thanks for the assist Dazz! Unfortunately it doesn't currently check to see if the snap actually exists, just if there's a problem sending the command to mame. Lack of DI would produce a false positive. I'll change the sound to an 'Uh-oh' if the snap doesn't actually get there next version.

Yes. You have the Hi-Score Snapper enabled. It disable cheats for games that are part of the competition. Bubble Bobble is part of the competition. Plugins don't enable themselves, you must have turned it on?

For that game anyway since its in the hi score list the hi score snapper disabled cheat mode by force to keep submissions fair.

Well if it doesn't work with a keyboard either it's not the Xpadder plugin... Back button works fine for me, both mapped to a button in Xpadder and on the keyboard. What are your input settings in the GameEx Setup Wizard?

Also, are you using a video? It looks like that video may either not exist or its not loading properly.

Just FYI, you can log in on Chrome, at least on my mobile, but I don't see any way to register. None of the formatting/css works right either. Links overlap each other and the js seems a little buggy. But I would give full on Chrome a try, I'll bet it's gonna work for those of you having issues.

I only have one complaint if you can call it that... I bought Display Fusion through Steam and there was no needed for it to be in my game list. Unfortunately when I went to remove it I accidentally removed Double Dragon Neon. Can't have that!! It was rather difficult/not intuitive to remove it from the 'filter list' unfortunately since you have to know the app ID and pull it off the ini manually. If we could map the ID to a human readable name that might also assist with games displaying as '70% Off Lego Indiana Jones' or what have you. (Actually that would probably be better suited in a MAP file, I should probably make a feature request for that.) /my 2c
