  1. Theis plugin has been updated to 1.3.1! Fixed a couple minor bugs that were only seen in Windows 10Fixed a bug where GameExtender wasn't properly restoring after a gameOptimized GameEx Integrated Services display code (ie Steam, UPlay, GX Arcade, Daphne, MAME, etc)Added a setting to leave your Game Tagger tag displayed while playing a gameOptimized a lot of 'old' codeFixed a couple bugs in the displaysUpdated base code to most recent versionsMany other changes and optimizations I forgot to mentionUse the new GameEx Reporitory or the Setup Wizard to get your download on quick and easy like, or get it at the usual places.
  2. You can also remove the GameEx setting to launch Steam in the Setup Wizard.
  3. I can't wrap my head around why you would start Steam with Windows and then also run a launch command to do it again with GameEx. My setup and many others here are like Dracs and I have never had even the slightest problem aside from the dialog box when I need to update Steam occasionally.
  4. Virtual Drive Loader went to 1.2.0 today, which brings DT Lite 10 support. Peep it!

ugh dtlite... never upgrading you again... lol know what I mean?

  5. This plugin was updated to 1.2.0, which brings the following features: Added support for DAEMON Tools 10Plugin now determines DT version and uses DTAgent if v10 or above is foundAdded new button to test mounting and unmounting through configuration menuTest mounting works for all types of drivesIf the drive is a DT drive you can test mount both SCSI and regular drivesAdded a fix for GameEx installations with no emulators installed So the notable change here is the new button for testing your ISO Loader. Press the checkmark next to the browse button and your ISO Loader will mount a test ISO. I have included a small one in the installation ( it's like 52 KB ) but you could really use any ISO if you place it in the plugin settings folder and name it test.iso. As noted above I also added support for DT Lite 10 which changed the EXE you need to load ISOs via command line so now that works automatically. Thanks to the awesome GameEx team of code ninjas you can update easier than ever! Get it from either the new GameEx Repository Manager within the GameEx install, the Setup Wizard, or of course the usual places. Enjoy! <3
  6. There's a plugin that handles all the heavy lifting and offers native Alcohol 120% support which GameEx does not on its own. Look in the Repository Manager for Virtual Drive Loader and kiss those Launch Before and After commands goodbye.
  7. I didn't develop this plugin but I believe he's using the table exit function to submit scores. You would have to PM the developer to know for sure though.
  8. I'm more impressed personally that she approved the budget prior to that! :-)
  9. Also do you have cab friendly controls turned on? If you do you have to hold left or right longer.
  10. You say you're not using HK's compiler? If you are you need to apply the patch prior to compiling.
  11. Just so you're aware, GameEx doesn't include plugins anymore. Thanks to Tom and Ben's collaborative elite coding skills you can download, update and enable them using the new Repository Manager. This will also prevent me from relying on GX releases for version updates (and overwriting updates with old versions).
  12. I didn't read it :ashamed: but is this a competitor to AnyDVD? Which incidentally is awesome?
  13. Happy birthday fReq! Another day older is another day wiser! Hope to see you around more often, we miss ya!!
  14. Thanks for stepping in Dazzle. Just to note you have my blessing on this as well. A decision needed to be made and although it was tough I commend you for stepping up. Congrats to you both YJ and Han!
  15. You really shouldn't need a managed switch for a home network. Save that money, you won't see any notable benefit anyway.
  16. Same with me Drac. I leave a DHCP range for wireless devices and don't broadcast my main network. All my wired devices are assigned. There's also a guest broadcast for visitors to use which is isolated from my home network. My network also faces outward to the internet using DDNS which is controlled by my router. I use this for my OwnCloud setup, NAS administration, file access via FTP, web serving and Transmission which can now be controlled from anywhere thanks to some port mapping. Best of all, my coding projects are available anywhere so I can develop using several computers and don't have to worry about backups (they're already safely on the NAS in a raid array and backed up to a second array using a cron job daily). I have two 8 port Netgear switches in the server closet and a Wi-Fi extender upstairs so the patio in my back yard is also covered. There is also a 4-port Netgear switch on the entertainment center in my living room. I really dig the Netgear gb switches, they're well built with metal cases and affordable/reliable. I also do my own cable runs from the server closet in the basement to each room (to a wall plate of course) with gold plated cable. Networking is much easier than one might think, just gotta buy a couple tools and roll up your sleeves. Do it right and it will increase the value of your house too.
  17. Well if that's the case then Origin and UPlay work the same way. I wonder though, does that file get rebuilt ever? If so when? I can probably get around the Xpadder thing in a future update if I use the App ID instead. But I probably won't get to that for a while though because I'll have to think of a way to not break existing profiles first. I use file names mostly, but in the case of the integrated services like Steam it works a bit differently because of the use of the ini.
  18. What version of Daemon Tools Lite do you have installed? I need to make some changes to the Virtual Drive Loader to support DT Lite 10. That's different from integrated mounting support, and a plugin just so you know. I'm assuming based on your comment about DT Loader that you're using my plugin, no? I think GameEx integrated support doesn't work for DT 5 and up, and doesn't work for roms in folders or SCSI mounting, etc.
  19. Daemon Tools had an upgrade unfortunately and it changed the mount and unmount command. I can't provide that Intel right now because I'm at work. But if you can wait a bit or someone beats me too it I'll provide them for you. There's also a delay between scsi mounts which will also bonk your setup. I can't find the thread but there's one here somewhere.
  20. Get out your wallet! I forsee a new rig in your future!
  21. No. And to be honest you're probably better off using a favorites file if you're looking to add another category. Search the forums for mame favorites.ini I can't provide one because I'm at work at the moment. But it would be a lot cleaner that way.
  22. It's a setting in the MAME options that nP just pointed you towards. Have a look around at the different filters. There are several for adult, mahjong, casino, etc.
  23. I say extend it. I mean it's Gauntlet. 'Nuff said!
  24. Well I spent my day going from 'No Operating System Found' after the 'upgrade' back to 7 SP 1 and then back up to 10. Now I can spend tomorrow putting all my software back on it. At least it turned out to be a good time to upgrade my laptop to a SSD and double my RAM to 16. Hopefully I'll come out of this better than when I started. I feel for normal people. If I hadn't been smart enough to back up all my important files I really would have been up the creek on this one. Wonder if anyone else has had a similar issue where the upgrade dies at ~70% and fails to roll back the OS... It was like a 'black screen of death' really! Not to mention I couldn't get a damn ISO for my OEM version of W7. This whole process haven't made me want to recommend the upgrade to people...
  25. It's because GameEx is running in the background. You can disable it and try again if ya like... GameEx Live > Run In Background
