  1. These are also available in the repository manager, no? Maybe that's just plugins themes and configs?
  2. Right, that's why you should snag a NoIntro set instead. Then with the Map File Maker you can easily sort and remove the extra regions and then build your rom set off the Map File.
  3. Like in most cases (certainly mine) I only want games people can and will play. It doesn't make sense to have every game in every region for every emulator. Because of this my games are trimmed down to a manageable amount and based off of NoIntro where possible (or hand picked if we're taking about a system that didn't offer something similar). But I do keep a GM set too, just archive it and not for use in my cabinet. MAME of course is the exception here, but I do some heavy manual filtering there. I'd rather have 150 quality NES ROMs than 15k that will never get touched. But that's me.
  4. My bad, thinking like a programmer is my downfall. I'm really more of a 'do it myself and share so others benefit' type, so I probably contribute more to the 'do it for me' mentality than I probably realize.
  5. Not really, no. Unfortunately not many GoodMerge users out there these days (most cabs are lan and mean when it comes to rom collections). GameEx will always ask you to select a file if there is more than one in the archive.
  6. You can fix the drive letter and/or paths easily enough with a Notepad++ Replace. It is a text file after all! Didn't the last step of Setup Wizard also verify your paths? It's been a while since I've had to do this but IIRC it alerts you to problems if you have them.
  7. Well it was a clean install on a new HDD, but it was actually 8.1 and it asked right away if I wanted to upgrade to 10 for free before 8.1 even launched. My bad on that post, it was initially a W7 machine, the free upgrade to 10 destroyed it and I had a copy of 8.1 Pro so I used that instead of the OEM key. It happened during the 'checking online for updates' process of the install.
  8. I just reinstalled 7 recently and took the option to put the free 10 upgrade on it, which didn't require any updating. Not sure if that's plausible for you.
  9. Not sure why you would want to pay more for fruitware when there are better alternatives for less, but to each their own.
  10. GameEx Launcher literally has nothing to do with GameEx aside from launching the exe. If it doesn't start on it's own it's something else, so you'll need to look elsewhere for the issue. Seems like the next thing in line that your log stops at is loading the news feed, so GameEx is launching anyway.
  11. Make one, it's relatively easy to do and there are apps right on this forum that will assist you. I make all my own MAP files, it takes like 10 minutes. Then maybe you could contribute one?

  13. No need my friend, Ben fixed it and I tested it. Should be fixed for the next GameEx release. Thanks for the kind words, it's why we do what we do.
  14. The video for mame needs to match the rom name, or at least be close. A map file isn't going to help you out here.
  15. Hi Evilforces, I made a boo boo. I was calling the settings file functions before I loaded the file. I ended up moving the init to avoid this in the future. Fixed again. http://www.gameex.info/forums/topic/15924-plugin-xpadder-plugin/page-1#entry88542
  16. My apologies, there was a bug where I was looking for the settings.xml before the XML was loaded which was preventing GameEx from initializing the plugin. Please download 1.3.4 to contine using it. Thanks!
  17. Pressing the DEL key on the game in the list hides the game in the list, it didn't actually delete the game.
  18. Press the DEL key.
  19. Hmm, GameEx isn't initializing the plugin for some reason... I'll look at it some more.
  20. Hey Evilforces, it should be all fixed now. Select this option: Plugin Settings > Disable Controller Enumeration. Let me know if it works for ya.
  21. Updated to 1.3.3: Added backup and restore options for your configurationAdded automatic backup option: Plugin can now backup your settings file each time GameEx launchesAdded option to disable controller enumerationThere is a new backup and restore button for backing up and restoring your plugin settings... I lost my config and was annoyed that I had to spend ten minutes of game time fixing them. Now you can either manually back up your settings or let it happen automatically everytime GameEx runs. Your choice (I prefer option B personally). Get it from the usual places.
  22. Just out of curiosity, why wouldn't you use GameEx for this?
  23. It's probably a long shot, but is it possible the trademark symbol is breaking the list? AppID_294860 Does your theme font support extended characters?
  24. I have an update coming to address this, but I have to finish another feature in it I'm working on before I can put it out. Hang tight.
  25. I'm surprised there was still someone working on a major project that wasn't in GitHub.
