  1. At the end of your xpadder command line add /M to start it minimized. Instead of all the bracketed text in LaunchAfter you should just be able to do a tskill. I think the command line is tskill xpadder.exe but not certain off the top of my head. Most say to go with this=xpadder.exe /C but that doesn't seem to work for me, so I just use tskill instead.
  2. I use a heavily modded version of BlueBox, and it has a big video snap with a little static snap below it (these are v4 themes. I think the one you use is actually a v2 theme). I used to use the theme you're using now actually. Maybe I could have a look at it and see if I can tweak the layout to work better, but still keep the simplicity. You don't have to switch themes permanently, I was just wondering if the problem persists using other themes is all.
  3. If you change themes this won't be needed, but yeah. GameEx caches theme backgrounds for quicker loading.
  4. Oh, I can help with that. Post your command line for xpadder for me? I use the paid version (1.7). I think I should just remove it and do a clean install. I don't think I did this when I uupdated to a dual core.
  5. Crazy thing is I see no mention of any game having been run. Everything else looks good. *puzzled* Did you try using the default theme to see if it happens still? Also do you use video backgrounds? And did you try deleting your theme image cache?
  6. I think so. I never thought to save the layout as a profile. Good call! On a side note, does your PJ64 emu take 45-60 seconds to start a game or is that just me?
  7. Ahh thanks man! I'll give it a go when I get home. .:EDIT:. Wait, what's with all the echo stuff? Nevermind, I'll google it up.
  8. Hey everyone. I recently added a 2nd monitor to my rig, and I'm thinking of using Tempest's Marquee Magician to display some stuff on it. The problem is that I already use this to launch xpadder when GameEx starts. So what to do? I probably need a batch file to accomplish what I'm after, but admittedly I have no idea how to make one. My hope is that someone who knows what they're doing will swoop in and save the day? Thanks!
  9. The command line calls profiles in order: Xpadder.exe controller1 controller2 /M If only one controller is plugged in it only loads controller1 and if both are plugged in it loads both.
  10. Yes it's gonna have to be xpadder. The reason is that if you launch your emu without your xbox wireless controllers on, it will lose the mapping (especially good to know if you're playing by yourself or view emus in the screensaver). You can map your emu controls to the keyboard and then use xpadder to map these keys to your controllers via LaunchBefore and LaunchAfter in GameEx. I can help you through it if you like.
  11. Well then, Drac... What do you say we get together and host a competition? I'll see if I can get some of the other staffers on board too.

    ...??? I know we're helpful, but I mean c'mon.
  13. When you're launching a game in MAMEUI, are you launching it via the command line? That's where I would start. Most users have a MAME INI with their settings specified so that there is no need for command line arguments.
  14. I'll buy a lifetime license for the winner! *wink wink* I think it could be fun, and anything to push the creative output of the community is always welcome. Maybe it's time I really sat down and finished off this BlueBox mod I'm working on too, and moved on to trying my hand at throwing together a new theme. Ahh but where would I start? As I recall it's quite an undertaking. .:EDIT:. Man it would be cool to have two development comps. One for best plugin, the other for best theme. They could run at the same time even... Wonder if maybe I should ask around and see if the interest is there?
  15. The cpanel is a serious beast! Haha! That is really cool for sure! It'd be extra cool if you spray painted over some leaves on it.
  16. Well the issue is that PJ64 only takes joypad input AFAIK, but it may just be the plugin itself. I'm gonna have to tinker with it when I get home. The thing that really gnaws at me about it is it seems to take forever to load a game on my machine, but really all I play is Perfect Dark and Goldeneye on it.
  17. Well now that I think about it N64 is the only thing I can't use xpadder for because the pj64 plugin doesn't seem to allow for keyboard mapping. I admittedly don't play with N64 too much, but I should start a new thread about it.
  18. I'll be honest with you: I use xpadder for everything on my rig, including emulators and GameEx itself. It takes some doing to set up but it's well worth it in the end. As a matter of fact, the only thing I load a blank profile for is PC games marked 'Games for Windows' because they support my controllers natively. I'm going to finally set this up for MAME too and be done with it, because having a function key (I use LT and RT) and being able to map state saving and loading, and rewinding, is really awesome. Xpadder has really made it possible to enjoy my cab without the keyboard and mouse, since it handles mouse emulation really quite well. It may take a bit, but I'm here to help should you decide to go this route. PS: if you do decide to go the route of loading when GameEx starts, you won't even need bat files.
  19. I did my work inside my house too, and let me tell you, the missus was NOT happy about the sawdust! I hear about it even today while I work on the jukebox about what a slob I am.
  20. Are you using wired or wireless controllers? If you do decide to use xpadder for this emu you will either need to load a blank profile as GameEx starts and exit it after GameEx quits or you will need to use a batch file, since launchafter doesn't seem to terminate xpadder properly.
  21. I do. I keyboard mapped p1 to use the first set of keys (qwertyjuiopasdf) and the second pad continues from there (ghjklzxcvbnm) then mapped them out in xpadder: xpadder.exe saturn1 saturn2 /M Both controllers work great for me.
  22. I'm not sure why you're losing your bindings in the first place. Do you run NullDC in screensaver? If I launch a game and my 360 controllers aren't turned on, I lose the mapping. Which is why I use xpadder instead. Wasn't trying to be sarcastic friend. I got nuthin but love for ya!
  23. Haha! Missus Wubble! Looks really professional! Excellent job! I like the blue t-moulding. Looking at your cab diary now.
  24. Apparently a quick search of Google says to use the PyuoPuyo input plugin to configure your xbox controller in the NullDC GUI. I don't see anything about needing to load anything via cmd line except the image.
  25. Ahh so because I put snaps and video snaps in the same folder it probably shows the snap anyway! Excellent observation!
