  1. Hey! It's in the DEFAULT-DEFAULT theme's folder. If gameex can't find it in the theme/media/logos folder, it reverts to there. If you put one in your theme's logos folder and type the file's name in on your emulator settings you'll see it pop up.
  2. It shouldn't be, but who knows? *shrugs* I myself have never had any issues with Sound Forge files in any environment. However I use a newer version than you, but it's still unusual to me. There shouldn't be any kind of issues with saving sounds in WAV other than bit/sample rate (maybe even track markers which are saved in an external file anyways). But in the end, it has to be something GameEx specific, so....
  3. Ohh noez!!!1!!G! The pink text is so FLUFFY! Must... Not... Look.... Ahhhhh! *LOL* .:EDIT:. On a side note, is it bad manners to teabag a girl gamer after you scalp her with a hunting knife? Whoops! Hahaha! PS: Man, I just hijacked this thread, so apparently I have no manners anyway!
  4. Not on CFW 6.35 yet Celly?
  5. Ahh you can always dream Ms. Cervante! But alas, there's only room for one at the top floor of teh 7331 hotel! *LOL* (Sorry, I don't make the rules. I only enforce them!) /me waits with the sniper rifle patiently from the top of an abnormally tall building, chuckling .:EDIT:. My blatant mis-reading of your post was uber pwnage in its own way!
  6. I wouldn't go as far as calling myself a Sony fanboy by any measure. If anything I'm more of a Nintendo freak. But I can see your point. I can still see the beauty in this phone. The idea is a long time coming, and if Sony gets it right maybe I'll finally get the Motorola DS Phone my heart longs for. It's a market that makes sense to me (unlike me most people can't take their mobile gaming device to work). I really do see the beauty in all gaming platforms, even if the gap keeps getting smaller as first party titles start to dwindle down to none. If it can play games, well, I want it! Never bit on the PSP Go though, and not sorry I didn't. We can agree that was a horrid device, further victimized by shitty marketing and poor design.
  7. Better still, if he just wants me to transcode the wav files in question, i'd be happy to do that too. Zip em up and pop em on MegaUpload or whatever (not rapidshare please) and I'll hook that up.
  8. Well I do most of my audio work directly using Sound Forge/recording off the sound card so I guess I wouldn't have noticed an issue anyways. Still strikes me as unusual none the less. .:EDIT:. Wonder if I could open one of these wav files in Sound Forge and have a look see? We may be talking about a 16 or 22 instead of a 44 which would compress it down to save space, maybe GameEx doesn't support lower quality wavs.
  9. Hmm, a 44.100 wav file should be standard across all platforms. What can be encoded in there that would cause it to crash? There shouldn't be any kind of metadata associated with a wav file afaik.
  10. Well tbh, instead of making changes in the theme editor, I just write over the old sound files in the theme's folder. I've changed my sounds a bunch of times and it works just fine this way as long as your sound names are the same as the ones in that folder.
  11. If there were significant changes in MAME, which there were (assembly toolchain & support file command line changes), there were probably changes in MESS too. I would start looking before MESS 0.140 and see if the command line still works and we can post adjustments from there.
  12. Actually yes, you can modify the mdb file in MS Access if you have it. Just make sure one of the fields has the same naming as your CDZ files and you should be just fine. If you need any help, we're here for ya. At this time it would probably work out better to do manual entries for your PSX games, until either Moby Games or a similar site can be scraped for these titles, or someone tediously goes game by game off of a DAT and makes an "official" MDB. As a matter of fact, if you wanted to do some edits, it would be cool if you would share it so we can add things to the current db.
  13. Awesome! Thanks for the update guys!
  14. Ahh I have to disagree, but I probably love the PSP so much because mine's modded. That thing has been really good to me, and I still use it all the time. I can play games on the Android already, and to actually have dedicated gaming controls would be a huge plus! Of course, all that will go right out the window when the PSP2 (or NGP as Sony calls it) comes out next year. Now that thing is smexy! On the flip, I'm kind of a tech geek when it comes to gaming, so maybe I'm biased.
  15. In RE to that: Sony knows gaming (maybe not security though, haha!), and their mobile phone division has got a nice little base spread out. A collaboration of the two not only seems possible to me, but if it were any other company doing it (see Nokia) I'd be a lot more hesitant. I wouldn't buy a Windows gaming phone either, but their smart phones kinda suck IMHO. The smart phone ship has already sailed, and Windows Mobile wasn't even close to the port when it did. /end my 2c
  16. Well, there's really no reason the artwork for all this couldn't reside on a physical drive, even if the games themselves are hosted elsewhere. Putting your AVI snaps and artwork on a mapped drive may cause GameEx to delay when building your lists, but I'm not sure if that would be the case.
  17. As if your themes aren't the cream of the crop? I'd be interested in seeing what themes people use, and I'm sure yours are (rightfully so) right at the top of that list.
  18. Well... As a long time fan of Sony and their abilities to rock mobile gaming, I'm definitely thinking I want this. I already use Android FW (Gingerbread will be an upgrade for me, I'm still on Froyo) and I love it, and this phone could potentially replace my DS and PSP (at least until the PSP2 comes out). I really love the play buttons where the keyboard usually is, and Sony's already got a stream of good games out for this on the Android Market. My GameInformer had some awesome screenies of some crazy cool games coming out/in development for this little bad boy, and I honestly can't recall the last time I was this psyched about a phone! I am also reminded of how good a job Sony usually does with walkmans (I currently use a Sony X-series), and am looking forward to this being the be-all end-all of Smart Phones. If it's as cool as I hear it is, I'll cry when it finally dies! That being said, it makes me a tinge nervous that Sony Ericsson seems to be the "jack of all trades, and master of none", but I'm willing to bite that bullet and give it a try anyways. For those who haven't seen it: I'm on board with this, just gotta wait forever for it to finally hit my cell provider.
  19. Hackers post phony Tupac story on PBS website I LOL'd hard when I saw the "screen grab" of the alleged story: Ahh it gets funnier:
  20. Very attractive theme Mike! I especially like the way your MouseOver looks! Professional work as always!
  21. Some of these can be fixed by running them and making them launch in fullscreen, or some command line switches can be used to make it possible to hide the desktop. Always good to peek at the readme that is pkged with the emu.
  22. Well the big problem is that afaik no naming convention currently exists for them, or rather, no decent database that can be scraped, which uses whatever naming convention is being used for psx sets. I honestly am not sure if there is any kind of TOSEC or NoIntro dat, and if there is, I haven't seen one anywhere (but I haven't googled it in quite awhile). Does the renamer use a dat I can look at?
  23. It really depends on how you do it and what games we're talking about here. I stream my media from my cab and it works great, and I transport new stuff from my lappy to my cab. I don't play games off the rempte server really, but if you do it right it can work.
  24. Not true! I have a 16 port usb hub connected to my lappy, so there's 16 EHD's right there. I'm pretty sure you can chain hubs together too. I have 2 connected to mine right now, mapped as network drives, and both are just internal satas converted to EHD's with $10 kits I bought from Newegg. For me mapped network drive transfers are super fast (12-15 MBPS), whereas shared drives cap out at about 1.5 MBPS.
  25. You must have a ton of stuff man! I have 2TB/storage and 500GB/system drive on my cab and I use that to stream everything over the network. I can't imagine all the stuff I'd need to gather to fill all that, but to each his/her own.
