  1. Thanks HK!
  2. I suck at chess! Wouldn't be much to that match!
  3. Ok bro! I'll pump it out when I get back home then.
  4. Sure. I'll add these steps when I get home. Headkaze's site has a set of instructions too if you can't wait that long.
  5. Uh oh... Looks like a Direct X error to me. What kind of video card you using? Are your Direct X files up to date? Video card drivers current?
  6. So wait, your not putting the image name into the emu's config? In the Emulator Logo field?
  7. What should happen here is the plugin should go by the Emulator Name string instead of the number. This will avoid conflict if emus get resorted. That's my 2c anyways!
  8. Clone Wars was nice, but never played Pirates at all. I may have to try Devil Survivor though. Just played through FF Tactics A2 before starting FF4. The DS is a great 2D RPG machine.
  9. If you play VI again, make sure you play the Japanese Translated version. The dialog is waaaay better! Turns out they filtered a lot when it came out as FFIV here. Get your hands on Mother 3 for GBA too. That game is entertaining all the way through!
  10. Hey GameEx gang! I'm just about to wrap up "Final Fantasy IV - The Complete Collection" on PSP, and I need a new game to play. I was just wondering what games everyone is currently locked into.
  11. That mame.exe is in the MingGW folder you created for the MAME source code. If not you maybe misstepped somewhere. The benefits outweigh the cons, since GameEx takes full advantage of this patch. You can even view your hi scores from the game list. It's worth it my friend! Push comes to shove, I'll just upload the 142 exe for you if you like.
  12. Just what I was thinking.
  13. I really hate to see anyone go, but I'm with these guys. I may have to take this attitude at work, but I certainly don't expect it from my friends. Just want to remind everyone in the forum that although this happens from time to time, it doesn't mean it's OK to take free shots at the person in question. Dropping ourselves to their level is never a good idea, and I think everyone did an amazing job trying to overlook the aggressive attitude. Let's remain civil and just close this one out as a lost member. My apologies to se_lees, but GameEx obviously isn't the right front-end for you. Just to add, people with your attitude make me not want to visit a lot of emulation forums and stick close to here, and I'll be damned if this forum gets derailed because of one member. Good day to you, sir. Topic closed.
  14. 04:54:14.3 6/24/2011: MAME EXE file is: mame0142s.exe Unless you renamed MAME.EXE to this, it's not right.
  15. Can you post your log file please?
  16. Still have the 60 second delay. Also just to mention it, setup wiz was complaining that it couldn't find eetupwizardsettings_en.xml so I ammended my setupwizard.xml with the _en and it worked. This delay is unusual though, no? I'll attach my ini too:
  17. i just copy your new MAME.EXE over where the old one was and point GameEx at that.
  18. As always, thanks a big bunch Tom!
  19. VP needs Show Desktop set to True to work properly. I'm not seeing what the issue is here with a split second of the desktop, especially since mine doesn't show anything except the VPinball exit window and that disappears in a micro second anyways. VPLoader hides the desktop after I exit too.
  20. Don't know what to make of the log, it's loading emus twice for some reason. the log file doesn't really reflect the delay except i backed out of GameEx as soon as it let me. here's the log anyway if anyone wants to look: Here's the 60 second delay that caught my eye: 20:48:51.8 6/23/2011: Testing Main Loop Once: Processing Frame 20:48:52.3 6/23/2011: Testing Main Loop Once: Main Loop ran successfully 20:49:49.0 6/23/2011: Exiting GameEx! Any ideas as to what's causing this? .:EDIT:. not even a big deal to me really, was just curious. It still goes plenty fast once the menu pops up, so IDK.
  21. If you set it up in default, it made a MAME Compiler 64 folder in your start menu.
  22. I know I figured it out by checking the log out. Something must have gone wonky since it's listing a bunch of paths as not found again. I'll poke further in. PS: can't believe I didn't post my log. D'oh! Haha!
  23. @se_lees: Wow man, Not sure how things work in the south, but here we just say "thank you", especially when we get a feature request implemented instantly. If GameEx isn't for you, okay. Move on and accept my humble apologies. If you want people to help you, spread out some sugar instead of vinegar. Please be considerate of the members and staff here, I hate to have to get aggressive with any member. But in all honesty, I just don't know how to take your posts, and I don't think it's right to abuse the devs who give us so much. Correct me if I read this wrong, but of the several posts of yours I've been following, most seem to have an aggressive attitude to them, and we simply don't do that around here. We're almost all adults around here, so let's try a little harder to present ourselves as such. /end rant
  24. Not much to change really, just need to apply the diff patch for MAME32. It's only one extra step unless you also use the MAME u updates.
  25. Hey all. For some reason when I load GameEx it takes about 30-35 seconds for the initial menu to come up after the startup logo and music play. It used to fire up in 5 seconds or less before. Any ideas what's causing the delay?
