  1. You can also see if your system has a TPM installed and enabled by typing TPM.msc in the search bar (Windows+R). If it shows "The TPM is ready for use" in the Status section, there you go! It will also tell you the Manufacturer and version in the TPM Manufacturer Information section.
  2. Assuming you had the same experience you originally reported after making Tom's suggested change? Can you provide updated files, even if you are not going to pursue further updates? Go to the View Changelog link in the GameEx download and select a prior version, then download. Screen cap from my phone: Please let us know once you have successfully downloaded and updated to a prior version. Thanks!
  3. If TPM is not already enabled you would do so though rhe BIOS regardless of whether it is in the motherboard, fTPM (AMD) or IPTT (Intel Platform Trust Technology). Enable TPM in BIOS
  4. Can you please attach copies of your gameex.ini and log.txt files for @Tom Speirsto review for the current version? Thanks!
  5. Hi! I moved your thread to the PinballX > General subforum where inquiries and requests for assistance should go. Can you please attach copies of your pinballx.ini and log.txt files (no copy and paste of contents) in reply to this thread? This will help us help you quicker.
  6. On review your motherboard and CPU are close to my selections for my gaming rig. I would have gone with a similar GPU but cost at the time would have been prohibitive and output beyond my needs.
  7. Most of my older non-Windows 11 compliant PCs/laptops are being converted (slowly) to Linux. Some will become servers - file, print, etc. Others will be given to some family members leveraging Linux Mint most likely. Currently testing a dual boot config on an HP ENVY x360 m6 convertible laptop with Windows 10 and Linux Mint w/Cinnamon UI. It installs with the Libre Office suite which is compatible with MS Office formats. A few older laptop/desktop systems will likely get the Minty goodness if all works out to get some aging kit back into circulation for use by some family that just need some computer basics to get online to manage accounts and do basic office things, such as update forms and resumes for disability filings and job searches.
  8. Nice! That should future-proof things for a while!
  9. Let us know if resolved by sfc /scannow and/or DSIM steps resolve or not before attempting a recover or reinstall. Be sure to provide updated copies of your pinballx.ini and log.txt files if still ongoing. @Tom Speirs he is running Win 11 and x64 version per earliet log file: 05:59:57.61 2025-01-06: PinballX Core - Version 5.47 x64 05:59:57.62 2025-01-06: Microsoft Windows 11 Home 64-bit (16GB)
  10. In the OP it was noted that PinballX is working fine in his other system. If SFC /scannow run from Windows CMD prompt does not work, going through the repair steps for DSIM would be the next thing to try. If that is unsuccessful, it may be that a recent update have caused a corruption and may require backup of media, pinballx.ini, and other files from the PC and a reinstallation of the OS.
  11. Is this still an issue? As noted previously, we may need a copy of your theme to see if the theme is part of the issue you reported vs. GameEx's handling of the video scaling.
  12. Thanks for reporting back and confirming Tom's solution! Glad it is sorted!
  13. Hi Rich - I think I understand what you are attempting but would like to see a screen cap of the QR code displayed and an example of where the text is still displaying "Marquee" instead of "QR Code." Thanks and Happy New Year!
  14. Happy New Year!

  17. I can think of worse eras to have passed through. Kinda funny thought, actually - We come into the world playing PONG and we leave it doing the same!
  18. Please try the latest version as it appears to resolve a black screen issue another reported right after your post. Thanks.
  19. Thank you for reporting. @Tom Speirs will need to address this as we have several instances of black screen issues since recent revisions.
  20. FEATURE REQUEST: GameEx and GameEx Arcade Edition prompt to install each to a separate path via combined installer For existing installations, having to move AE to the main GameEx path is a bit of a chore for those of us with current separate installations. This has the potential to bugger up plugins and other things best kept separate.
  21. Does it seem to freeze on specific or random tables? If specific, what tables?
  22. Sounds kind of drastic given that you just reported a few problems. but your choice. We do what we can to address the reported issues as soon as we can.
  23. Then try another version? I was able to download 18.87 and install it over the top without a problem?
  24. Go to Downloads > GameEx and scroll to What's New in Version 18.94. Click See Change Log and select the version you wish to download and download it.
