  1. Ahhh. Ok. Well glad you got it sorted out. Enjoy!
  2. What application is playing them? Do the video names match the rom names?
  3. I didn't see it mentioned in the settings that video snaps are a registered feature. That being said, it should work by setting the path for the emulator. Also required would be a codec to handle the files being played correctly. The most recommended one here at GameEx Forums is the Shark007 pack. What kind of problems were you having?
  4. No problem! Welcome to the forums!
  5. Perhaps it's the Hide Desktop setting found in Display Settings? If set to Yes then it could behave this way.
  6. That doesn't look like a complete log.
  7. Maybe try the following command-line: ePSXe.exe -nogui -loadbin "[ROMPATH]\[ROMFILE]" This is untested since not at my emulation machine but something to that aspect should work.
  8. Congrats Tom! Very nice!
  9. That's great news, Circo! We thank you for your work and for the contribution. Congratulations on such news.
  10. Perhaps the RomsInFolders=True setting is what the problem is? According to your post, your roms are 7-zipped and merged. Having that setting is if all your roms are in their own respective folder.
  11. LMAO. I've been thinking of doing the same. The developer of GameEx has been pissing me off lately. LOL.
  12. Thanks for the submission Tom!
  13. Thanks to Tom and headkaze for their work! We all appreciate the time and effort you put into GameEx.
  14. Have a look at MAWS and you can see the status of those games. If the game has a status as imperfect or preliminary, then scroll down and it will show other emulators in the additional information section.
  15. LOL. Yeah! This emulator is a pain in the way it was made. But Tom did a great job of integrating it into GameEx. Well if you use the GameEx integration then the map file will not be needed. Tom takes care of this in code and your snaps will match since it won't depend on them being named after the rom number. It would be the best and easiest way. That list can be generated by ZiNc itself. It is how I generate the names for the map file that I created. I generate my own map files using an app I wrote just for this. I got tired of making them by hand. There are other tools out there that can be used to make them but not as easy. Again just use integration and there won't be so much work. Zenith (frontend) and GameEx would have taken care of all the work needed to make it easy to run.
  16. Just use the GameEx integration and use the command-line that you used after setting it up. Now your roms will be ran in the MAME section and the snaps will match as well.
  17. Ahhhh yes. When using as a standalone emulator then I'm pretty sure the artwork names have to be the name of the rom which are numbers because of the map file.
  18. Glad that worked out for you. As far as your snaps, I would point them to your MAME vids/snaps. This is how I have it. I haven't paid much attention if they all are shown since they may have different rom names. If not then there are sets around that you can download to match them. I would just fill in the blanks or rename as needed as they are pretty much the same. Now for Daphne, I would use GameEx's integration. It would be much easier to setup that particular emulator than to setup each individual rom. It can be done but that depends on what you want to do.
  19. Enter information found here.

    Dolphin

It runs things fairly well. I'm not using that much of a beast of a machine. If you have a Wii then I would just stick with that since compatibility is better with the real hardware. It will not play discs but will play images. Taken from the FAQ of Dolphin: More to that FAQ but removed some info due to possibly breaking rules. I would go to the website itself for info on that subject.
  21. Easiest solution would be to just select a Logo from the drop down in Emulator Setup. Then you can add your pics to the THEMES\YOU'RE THEME\MEDIA\LOGOS (You're theme being the one you're using or also can store in the default theme). Good pics can be found here at mod greatflash's site. Also Emu-Movies is a great source. Another option is to search the forums and find the ones that have been posted recently by some of our members Krakerman and Draco1962 among others. Eventually they'll be placed in one place for easy access.
  22. I know what you mean. LOL. I know many of those "guys". I'm the same way. I like the satisfaction of figuring out things on my own which is why I don't ask questions. Just been around long enough to figure out things on my own. But I wouldn't have put that much time into it. Don't ever hesitate to ask for help. That's what this forum is for. Many of us have been doing this for years and that's why this forum is so great not only for GameEx support but emulation support as well.
  23. Glad you got it all sorted out and working. Sorry that you had to spent so much time on trying to figure out. Next time just post in the forums before dedicating that much time. Enjoy and have fun!
  24. Answers to your questions: Turning on Databases names can be done simply by selecting a database in the Drop down menu in Emulator Setup. These files are stored in the DATA\EMULATORS directory of your GameEx install directory. This is usually done within the emulator itself. It can be a command-line parameter or also a switch in a cfg or ini file. So that really depends. Yes this is supported. Again depends on the emulator. Some of them will support it and some of them won't. Those that do not support it can be done by using GameEx Advanced Config Editor and using the Joy Mapping feature found on the Joy Mapping tab. Other solutions would be to use a 3rd party program like Joy2Key, Xpadder, or Pinnacle Game Profiler (I'm sure there are others but theses are the popular ones). Also this might be useful to you in setting up ZiNc: ZiNc is a tricky one. I personally would setup zinc trough one of the many frontends designed specifically for it. Then use those settings for for it to run from command-line. A good example of that would be a discussion I had awhile back found here. Then you can do some of the following techniques found in this thread on how to display your rom names. It's all preference really. It depends on how you set it up.
  25. Ahhhh I C. Well I hope the set desktop to true is what you were looking for.
