  1. No idea why this would happen. I'll do some testing when I get to my machine for you and maybe we can come up with a solution. Could very well be a bug.
  2. Try the command-line found here. It may vary as far as the executable since you're using an older version. But will give you an idea. If that doesn't work for you then please provide a config so we can see what you're trying to do.
  3. Thanks for the share!
  4. To make it easier on you, there's a simpler way to show us your config. You can export the data and then just paste that info in the forums. Will save you from having to take screen shots each time. Instructions on how to do so can be found here by Tempest.
  5. No problem! Glad you got it sorted out. Enjoy!
  6. That's the quote from the website but there is a problem with those type of images. I found the discussion here for reference. Best to use Daemon Tools for that system. But VirtualClone Drive does support those image types. It has something to do with the way those images are ripped. This was one the reasons I switched to mednafen for that system to avoid these issues.

Well that's good news! Will still be beneficial as it will be easier to deal with in the future for users who want to use that emulator. Thanks for the news!

So then it doesn't work? LOL. I havent tested in GameEx but tried reading the help files as usual. There doesn't seem to be a switch for fullscreen (not that I came across) but there is a solution. If you look in the Preferences.cfg file located in the UserData directory of your emulator install, there is an option to set to fullscreen which then works when running from command-line. The setting is: FullScreen=01 Now if you run from command-line, your command-line should be as follows: BeebEm.exe -Prefs "C:\Program Files\BeebEm\UserData\Preferences.cfg" "[ROMPATH]\[ROMFILE]" Note: The location of my Preferences.cfg file may differ from yours, so just use your location for that part. Now for exiting the emulator, since not at my machine can only give advice since I can't test in GameEx but it will/should work with this solution. If GameEx doesn't work by sending ESC, then it may be because it is used in the emulator. You could try to disable that key in the settings or IMO, I think it would be best to exit the correct way to exit the emulator. Create and advanced config and setup theses keys to exit: Alt+f x I have exited successfully with those keys. Alt+f brings up the file menu and x is the key to exit. It's the best solution I could come up with, but it works.
  9. If you're missing something than so am I. I also agree. The changes to GameEx will not affect the MAME screensaver.
  10. Unless your iso's are in the emulator directory (which doesn't look like they are) then your command-line would be as follows: Fusion.exe -scd -fullscreen "[ROMPATH]\[ROMFILE]" Note: Not including the [ROMPATH] parameter is the issue. GameEx substitutes [ROMPATH] with the actual rom path that you supplied in configuration. Then GameEx sends that info to command-line.
  11. Yes. There is an option called Update List. It's the last option in the MAME section of GameEx.
  12. Not that quick! LOL. I didn't get to my computer till 2+ hours after you posted. But you're welcome.
  13. Here ya go! From now on all my generated map files will be listed there for future reference. Can also always click on my signature. Will try to keep up-to-date. If not then just send a request in the forums and I'll whip one up.
  14. Not a bug but something that Tom has hard-coded. Those keys are the keys used to exit games using the x-arcade joystick. As Tom mentioned, he is planning on making this where you can change to the keys of your liking on a future release of GameEx since it has been creating conflicts for users using those particular keys.
  15. No no no. Just leave the core.exe file alone once you renamed it from the core.dat file. "core romname.sms" was just an example of the command line needed to launch a rom. So that command line would equal this in GameEx: core.exe [ROMPATH]\[ROMFILE] Editing the core.exe file as you did would error out cuz it doesn't know what romname.sms is. Leave that out.
  16. Good deal! Glad you got it sorted out. Always catching yourself after you post!
  17. Sorry. I guess I should have tested from another directory as you are but this would have been noticed if testing from command-line or using debug. Try the following instead: "C:\Program Files (x86)\DAEMON Tools Lite\DTLite.exe" -mount 0,"[ROMPATH]\[ROMFILE]"
  18. Perhaps the following? Input Settings >>> In Game Key >>> L
  19. I don't see anything wrong with that command line. Are you sure it's not being mounted. Perhaps being mounted but not being read by the emulator cuz you haven't setup the drive in the emulator itself. I would run with the runitgame.bat file or in debug mode and test to make sure it's being mounted.
  20. That at least narrows things down. Now we'll have to come up with a solution to that.
  21. What type of input device are you using to control MAME? Also, are you referring to MAME or other emulators?
  22. Does this apply or emulators or just MAME? If emulators then could be an advanced config that is set that way. If MAME then that might be the exit keys set for your setup. Please give more detail.
  23. Wouldn't go as far as calling you crazy! But yes, it is still possible to play the game during the screen saver. All that is needed is to press the key you use to enter the coin. I'm my case "5". Don't have an answer to your second question at this time.
