  1. Rotate Plugin can be configured and turned on through the GameEx Plugin Manager. It should be included with a GameEx install. Start >>> All Programs >>> GameEx >>> Configuration >>> Plugin Manager.

    Zinc Problems

What is the renderer path? Is it the same as the emulator? Post your Zinc Options for me as well please.

    Zinc Problems

So wait! You added ZiNc to your setup using Advanced Mame Options? Not Zinc setup?
  4. Please post log as per instructions by mod Tempest found here (Step 3).

    Z26 setup

In Emulator Setup there is a setting Debug Mode which if you set to Yes will show the command-line window and may show some useful information pertaining to this issue.

    Z26 setup

The command-line switches are ok. So that is not the problem. Other than that, I can't see anything wrong with it. I just tested this emulator myself with that command-line and it worked fine. Please troubleshoot in debug mode or by using the runitgame.bat file. Please give more detail of what you mean you can not get it to display. Can you hear anything in the background? Does it try to load and then just exit back to GameEx? What is the extension of your roms? Things of that nature. My guess would be that your roms are either zipped or goodmerged which in either case the setting Zip/7-Zip/GoodMerge would need to be set to Yes in Emulator Setup since I don't believe this emulator supports compressed roms. That's just a shot in the dark. If not then please do the previous mentioned.
  7. As you can see here....SNES emulation status is imperfect compared to other emulators. Other emulators just give better emulation. As mentioned, may not always be the case but for the time being, it is so. Another site comes to mind when checking for emulators that run better than mess. It is the basis in which I chose my emulators aside from testing myself. The site is called NonMESS. There are plenty of emulators for various systems and we all have different opinions on them. So best thing to do is test the emulator itself and if gives the results you're after then stay with it.
  8. Thanks for the contribution Tempest!

That depends once again on filters. My double dragon shows in my list. Depending on your filters, if you want that game to show then simply just add it to the Don't Filter These ROMS setting in Advanced MAME Settings. Filtering ROMs can and never will be perfect as many things come into affect. So many choices in GameEx to filter roms that some unwanted roms will be filtered out because of it. That's why Tom created the Don't Filter These ROMS setting to account for that.

    clones

That could depend on filters. That's why I leave the bracketed text intact on my list so I know exactly which rom is loading.
  11. Also another tool worth mentioning is Tempest's tool "Skinny Match" found here.
  12. Hmmmmm. I guess we'll wait for Tempest to chime in since he's the author of the loader. Perhaps he doesn't have it working for cartridge formats. This is one of those troublesome emulators since it doesn't implement a CLI.
  13. "How to setup an emulator in GameEx" by Tempest might be useful to get you started. Depending on what you need or want then feel free to ask. Seems like this is all new to you so you're gonna have to put in some work and some learning to get you going.
  14. According to Tempest the command-line should be: WinApeLoader.exe "[RomFile]" After setting up with the instructions linked from that topic. Not sure how Tempest handles this in code but think that "[ROMPATH]\[ROMFILE]" wouldn't work or else he would have posted it that way.
  15. Just import the configs for those emulators. Then change the filters to suite your needs. That would be the easiest solution. As far as needing help with those systems, we need more info. Like what emulators are you using? Stuff like that. If you can't make them work then export your configs so we can see what you're doing. Look at "How to ask for Help" written by our mod Tempest on how to do so. The 3d cabinets can be downloaded from GameEx's site found here. There is no Torrent for them. They are updated frequently as they are being converted from a different format to work in GameEx. So this would be the best place to get them. As for video files, the best thing to do is get them from EmuMovies. Since that's where they all come from anyways.
  16. MAME32 creates it's on config file as well. Don't quote me on this but I believe it's mame32.ini or something to that nature. Then can just rename to mame.ini and put in main directory and it could/should work. LOL. Sorry not much help outside of that since haven't used mame32 in many years. Working with command-lines is not that bad. Besides, your using a frontend that utilizes command-lines. Maybe someone will be of more help but it's a pretty simple process.
  17. All the emulators suggested are supported. There are a few others. MESS is another that is suggested. It really depends on features and compatibility. I'd personally try a few of them to see what suites your needs. I usually look at emulator sites to see what the emulation community suggests. When you choose one then come back and we'll try to sort out how to run it within GameEx. This is one system I haven't tested for myself yet so don't have any support past that. I'll have to look into this system and add to my suggested emulators list.
  18. Settings can be made by the command-line itself or by creating a config file and changing those options. From command-line if you use the following command, a config file will be generated for you. MAME.exe -cc Then those settings can be adjusted within the file and it makes things easier to deal with. All those settings are included within the documentation included with MAME.
  19. This has been discussed many times so I'll point you in the direction of the posts I found using search. Here, here, and here are the first ones that jump to mind. There are links from those threads that link to other lists as well. Pretty much the emulators that there are configs to import from within the GameEx install are considered the best/suggested emulators. And quoting myself from one of those topics: This information should get you started.
  20. Important words highlighted in blue. The screen tells you the exact error. In Emulator Setup....there is a setting called Zip/7-Zip/GoodMerge which is a registered feature only. Since not using a registered version then this setting must be set to No. This setting is used for goodmerge roms where 7-zip compression method is used. It is also useful for roms that are in zip format but the emulator itself doesn't support compressed roms. This is rare as most emulators support compressed roms.
  21. One thing at a time. Daphne can be set to exit within DaphneLoader. Game >>> Configure DAPHNE options >>> Input >>> Quit >>> Change... (the rest is self-explanatory). As far as how you set it up in MAME, Tab >>> Input (general) >>> User Interface >>> UI Cancel >>> (the desired keys/buttons to exit).
  22. Link has been fixed! Sorry for the inconvenience.
  23. The download link does appear to be broken. I have reported to Tom! And the setting for the 3d cabinet models can be found in Basic MAME Settings section. The setting is called 3D Cabinet Path where you can point to the path where you saved the files.
  24. I'd have to say that they are all pretty good/funny. The only one I wish they would have done different was punchout. King hippo was just as easy to beat without being held back. They should have used a tougher opponent.
  25. Where's yours? LOL. I don't put it up cuz it would never change. You know better than anyone that I don't utilize my gaming system for emulation. I only have GameEx running when giving support. So would be a waste of space on my signature to have my game tag. I always give thanks. LOL. Small update or not. Any work being done is appreciated by us all even though a select few give thanks.
