  3. Thas the way it works, fella - gotta give to get. Now go out there and tell all those other taker buggers that too! Good work, man
  4. Whoa - not only mame but loads of other systems in the FTP too. It was always needing to happen and finally it has. Good work, dude. This'll help with the Evo designs no end.
  5. hmmm... new project thread, tthurman/nightgaunt?? MameGames Logo set? I made this for game set images completion: https://gamesetmatch.codeplex.com/ great contribution, night. It's the contributors that make a real difference in this game. I vote that "Lurker" is solidly upgraded to "Contributor"
  6. You mean offset the top left of the image from 0,0 at top left of screen? Should be easy to code - just stick me a reminder on the MarqueeMasher project page and I'll have a look at it at some point. This evening I am mainly sitting on my arse. Apologies.
  7. Now the cats out the bag with the snaffling of hs game logos, is there any way we can get hold of a full mame set? As for ftp structure, how about: GameLogos> Mame> FullSize (or Resized for your other set)glad you found m masher useful. As for the delay, I found if you use a marquee which has large dimentions, it takes a while to resize.
  8. Nice gameroom. Is that a separate dynamic marquee. Love me some dynamic marquee. Others may be suprised to hear me say that because I never go on about it at all. Ever.... Also - where are those game logos from? I aint got that in my mame assets collection. They are much needed - could you upload them to the GameEx FTP?
  9. Guy's a bit of a legend. Didn't he do that fuzzy-match thingy? Shame he retired - a real contributor to the hobby. Come back out of retirement, dude! Oh, and happy birthday.
  10. In the spirit of balanced argument, ladies and gentlemen, I present both sides of the debate: Johnny Rotten and James Whitaker. I'll leave it with you...
  11. Matter of opinion that really, tom. Ya see, I dont view him as terribly talented, but think he has an interesting personality. Admittedly, some can find him quite challenging and it may boil down to your core ideological beliefs really. I dont believe in provocation for provocations sake, but he does have some strong beliefs and presents them in an equally strong way. Horses for courses....
  12. Good vid. Didn't realise he was such an interesting guitarist - always associated him with 80s schmooz. Still the showman I remember. Just one thing - where does his guitar go at the very end?
  13. I do wish everyone would stop dying. Just for a year or two....
  14. "god save the Queen - the fascist regime" - still pretty challenging to date - I'd say. I don't think you'd all fall off your chairs if I told you which side of her majesty's royal throne I sit on. "Thank you farmer's wife..." This bugger even gets away with this type of hypocrisy and double-standard coz he's so cool. He did "meta" and "post-modern" before these disney-child-stars turned snot-nosed Hollywood brats were born.
  15. List of parts: http://www.dabs.com/products/dell-poweredge-t20-intel-xeon-e3-1225v3-3-2-ghz-4gb-1tb-no-os-t20-3708-BYXG.html?refs=4294943184&src=3 And that's it! Bliss. Must let myself buy new more often. Oh, but of course, I'm thinking of modding it already. Need extra disks etc
  16. English Skeeball (aka Donkey Derby). Note the subtextual misery that permeates ever pore of this photograph. I'm just being a misery - I love donkey derby secretly. It's just associated with faded seaside glamour here in the UK. As are arcades for that matter:
  17. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!! Brand new server. No more grifting with second hand and ancient parts. New, current... bliss!
  18. Just to be clear - the Scottish invented golf. The English invented snooker, which isn't boring at all in the slightest. As isn't bridge or croquet. We also invented water. And happiness. And, as we did, in fact, invent the English language, we have special dispensation for starting our sentences with "and." Because we can (this dispensation also applies to "because").
  19. No problem with skeeball. Looks like donkey darby. Its staking claim to the invention of arcade games. What next, america invented air? No offence to our american cousins in here.
  20. I'm sorry, but I stopped at "Skeeball - the original arcade game invented by ... in Philadelphia." Don't think that site does you stand up american guys justice - it kinda stinks of "America invented everything!" Bagatelle anyone?
  21. mviars - sounds like you just volunteered yourself to start the Stella and Fusion wiki entries! Template here: http://gameex.info/wiki/index.php/Template:Emulator Wiki basics, here: http://gameex.info/wiki/index.php/Community_Portal It took me about 30 minutes to get the wiki basics. To make the page, search "Stella" and "Fusion" When it says page not found, choose create page.
  22. I agree. Maybe the tthurmeister or the thurmude but tthurmanator would be a mouthful when yer drunk. Oh.... you meant the pinball?
  23. That's a great tip + one that could save others a lot of time! Hope you don't mind, I added it to the Dolphin Wiki entry: http://gameex.info/wiki/index.php/Dolphin#GameEx_Setup
  24. Thanks fellas. Really helpful. Wont bother with a ssd. I already uee drivepool hans, but good review. You should be on commission. Didnt know it had all those features, though! Cheers chaps
