  1. Cool. Thanks. That's pretty easy. I will give it a look-see. ...and in case you had not noticed, the file size listed in the File Information says 2GB instead of 18GB.
  2. Hey Tom, If I want to test this, will this affect my existing GameEx or GameExEvo install if I choose a different directory?
  3. OK, this game was my choice, so I will start: 94,700
  4. Hey TheMug, when you have a chance, please let us know if Dazzle's suggestion helped. Thanks!
  5. Ok, just dropped $2.00 in fake quarters and could not get past stage 1. Tough game!
  6. All the credit goes to the elbow smash and back jump kick...and lots and lots and lots of attempts.

And just to clarify the_greese's advice, you don't need to make sure ALL of the emulators work outside GameEx first. You can get one working outside GameEx, then get it working inside GameEx, then move on to the next emulator. I do suggest getting one emulator fully working within GameEx before moving on to the others. That way you will have a better idea what to expect when you do the rest. If you run into a problem, create a new post about it and someone will try to help you through it. The great thing about GameEx is that there is a lot of 'stuff' under the hood. The bad part is that it can seem daunting and confusing at times. Take a few steps at a time and you will be surprised how fast you will catch on.
  8. I will throw in Yie Air Kung Fu for the list.
  9. I am sure there are many people who are not aware what the term 'Alpha' and 'Beta' represent in development. You might consider putting a disclaimer on the first page of the Setup Wizard and a GameEx splash screen stating that this is an Alpha build and all features are not fully implemented, asking for user feedback, blah, blah,blah...you get the idea.
  10. Here is my fifth try... 48,000
  11. Sorry it took a bit of time to come back to this. I did some additional testing of the Advanced Config and the Global Exit. I found that without the Global Exit enabled, the Advanced Config settings had no effect. My understanding was that they worked together where Advanced Config would override the normal functionality of the emultor and the Global Exit would (normally) shut down the emulator. Perhaps I am incorrect on the intended functionality, but that is the way it has worked for me. Then again, maybe it is not working as intended. I cannot say myself now. I think we need one of the more knowledgeable GameEx peeps to chime in.
  12. It is fantastic to see the the first rendition at last. Congrats to the gameEx team and all the stuff they have done!!!
  13. When I tested it before, i did not have Gameex or 4DO full screen, so that was not a good like-for-like test...but it still told me that it was the right place to look. When both were windowed, hitting ESC closed 4DO and GameEx came back up and was in focus. I found that without the [Mapping Off] Exit (Process Close) setting, ESC did not exit and instead changed the application from fullscreen to windowed mode as you stated. With it enabled, 4DO did close nicely and return to GameEx. When both were full screen and that setting enabled, ESC closed out 4DO, but my PC would not quite return to GameEx. The screen would flash back and forth between a black screen and the desktop. It would continue cycling until I hit ESC again which in turn closed GameEx out. So, on Windows 7 this is sort of working...but is not useful. All of the other emulators I have utilize [Mapping Off] Exit (Process Close) or a variation of it and they exit nicely. So, I think that this is the option we need to leverage, but the functionality to work specifically for 4DO may not be present. There may also be a difference between how GameEx is operating in Windows7 and Windows10 since our results are differing. Maybe someone else with Windows10 can test this as well.
  14. OK, try this: In the Advanced Emulator Setup, set the Advanced Config parameter to [Mapping Off] Exit (Process Close). I was able to exit the 4DO emulator and return to GameEx using ESC as well as the Joystick Global Exit sequence I have set up on my config.
  15. Hi TheMug, Under Input Settings, check to see if you have enable Escape Escape Key Exit set to Yes. Of course, this is supposed to allow ESC to work with any emulator, but there have been a few cases when the emulator was stubborn and would not allow the override (I think Project64 acts like that). If that does not help, please post your GameEx.ini file and a log.txt from when you ran and tried to exit 4DO. And in the furture, any time you ask for assistance with GameEx, please get in the habit of posting those files in your request. It helps others help you. Thanks!
  16. Hey Alan, Check that drive letter G isn't already reserved. I notice that your data drive is D and I would guess that your optical drive is E or F. That does not leave much of a margin if you have a flash drive or external drive plugged in as well. You might want to choose a higher letter for the virtual drive to avoid possible conflicts. Also, as Adultry commented, the latest version of the plugin is 1.2.2, not 1.2.1. Best to be on that version before posting new files. You can get it through his link a couple posts above.
  17. Yeah, lets not discuss the acquisition of roms please...even when you use little astrisks...
  18. Oh sorry. I forgot that Function Logger was one of the downloads I attempted. The plugins I downloaded through the SetupWizard as tests were Xpadder, Function Logger, CurserHider, and RandomArcadeSound. Like TheMug commented above, each plugin I downloaded resulted in a 0k file
  19. I think you meant to ask if Xpadder_plugin zip file extracted ok...correct? And not it did not. The files I found in the C:\Users\XXXX\AppData\Local\Temp folder are 0k files that cannot be opened. I also tried downloading several other plugins and the 0k result happened on all of them.
  20. It does appear that something is off with downloading plugins via the Setup Wizard. I downloaded the Xpadder plugin using the Setup Wizard and from all appearances, nothing appeared to happen. What did happen is that the Xpadder_plugin.zip file was saved to C:\Users\XXXX\AppData\Local\Temp...and that's all that happened. If I recall correctly, I believe that the plugin is supposed to be transferred to the GameEx\PLUGINs folder as well. The SetupWizard.txt log did report an error related to the repository, although the error may or may not be related to this issue. I've attached my log for reference. SetupWizard.log
  21. Hi Alan, Understand that the integrated Virtual Drive function in GameEx is different than the Virtual Drive Loader plugin. You appear to be using elements from both when you should use one or the other. For example, to use the most excellent Virtual Drive Loader plugin with SSF.exe (Saturn), do the following: - Set the emulator command line to SSF.exe [DTLoader] - In the Virtual Drive Loader plugin, set the Mount Command for the SSF.exe emulator to -mount dt, V, "[RomFullPath]" where V is the letter of the virtual drive - In the Virtual Drive Loader plugin, set the Unmount Command for the SSF.exe emulator -unmount_all The [virtual-drive] command is only used with the virtual drive functionality that is integrated into GameEx. Do not use this command with an emulator if you have configured it with the Virtual Drive Loader plugin as well. It will just confuse GameEx. Hopefully this clarifies things for you.
  22. @hansolo77 Yeah, I don't know, right!?!?!? It's the first time I beat the game. I took a snapshot of me and the little lady for posterity and a few moments later I realize I wasn't able to enter my initals. What a crock!!! Save the girl and get no credit...
  23. Hey Felix, Sorry to hear you are struggling with your build. Please post your gamex.ini and log.txt file when you are looking for help with GameEx. In this case, please attempt to launch Mame within GameEx so that the log.txt file captures the attempt. It may not feel like it is necessary in this instance (since you feel the issue is from something outside GameEx), but you never know what information might help. I doubt I will be of much help with your issue, but it may be helpful to someone else. Thanks.
  24. Finally got past the traps and beat the game...but did not have the option to enter initials. Pretty good run. 101,020 points
