  1. Changing 'cmd.exe /c [ROMFILE]' to just '[ROMFILE]' I think will do the trick. Does that work?
  2. Actually I forget there is a way. In latest versions you can make GameEx run at the current windows resolution and depth and not switch resolutions. The setting is under Display Settings.
  3. Do you know any strippers?
  4. The first two items should be fixed in the new version just uploaded. Can you confirm? in regard to the MAME focus issue, could you try MAME32 over Windows MAME or vice versa. What version is it you are trying? Can you give me the link so I can try it out and fix if necessary. Cheers. Tom
  5. 13th July 2005 - GameEx 4.55 Should fix issues on some systems, that when returning to MCE or pressing Green Button MCE did not have focus. Focus will now return to GameEx if Emulator exits immediately after launching. Maximum number of emulators and external applications increased from 100 to 300.
  6. Please pledge MORE money to gameex, so I can hire mores strippers. In the words of Bob Geldoff 'Give me yer fuckin money' I need strippers.
  7. No, not at the moment. Could you explain why you want it changed. IE too long, too short? I personally thing its a little long at the mo.

    new theme

Must be. Ill make the theme available shrotly. Cheers.
  9. The videos need to be in the same folder as snaps at the moment. Copy your avis to the snap folder for your emulator
  10. You need to set emulators to run DirectX full screen. Either that or use the ShowDesktop setting.
  11. OOPS. Must have left that turned on in the install. Sorry!
  12. Just FYI: That's what it normally does. Its normal at the moment.
  13. Nope. It just checks for 'Browser Back' Did you check DirectInput and SlikStik settings?
  14. Hi Dave, Its really easy to increase the limits. Ill whack them upto 300 for the next release. No photo for the moment. Although I've got better looks and build than Bill Gates, and a hugely better haircut
  15. Nothing, example and testing only. GameEx does wait a few seconds for the app to close down correctly as I said, and does other stuff too. We are all sacrifying these seconds for a solution that works very well, keeps running like duracel and works with just about everything The alternative is constant 'GameEx crashed when playing...' posts.
  16. Work with what? Ive been using the daily builds, mostly always. In fact had a lot of issues with those versions.
  17. No, not at the moment.
  18. Have you turned on DirectInput or Slikstik? Otherwise am at a loss. Ive never had an issue or issue reported like this on any version of MCE with a 2004 and 2005 remote.. Only if DirectInput is turned on. GameEx checks for the 'Browser Back' key. Is you remote outputting the keystroke for say Internet Explorer?
  19. I am not keen on building this functionality into GameEx, I cant think of any reasons, and it would likely cause tons of problems. I dont know of any good windows app that behaves like that. A better approach would be to write a simple AutoIT script, that you would launch with your batch file at startup. Then either wait a few seconds and set focus, or continually check the GameEx windows and give it focus if it does not have it. Check out AutoIT. That's what I used to get Project64 to work with Gamelauncher
  20. Hi Rob, first, thanks for your support and enthusiasm. No, the NVIDIA decoder is currently not working, although I do plan to try and fix it.
  21. Yes, I did get some, but thanks anyway.
  22. Yes it is possible, but no UNC paths, just mapped. It seems to be one of the best kept secrets in the emu scene. Although theres no reason why it should be. I think youll find the video player is actually pretty decent compared to what else is out there, hopefully. Especially when you consider it works with remotes and joysticks, and runs well on TV's and displays of varying aspect rations and resolutions.

    new theme

Yes, please, when your ready, and Ill make it available to all! Thanks, Tom.
  24. First of all welcome Smiff. Ill have a shot at answering your qeustions best I can: 1. I really dont know about this, I cant think of any reason, if it has admin access. The point where it is failing shows no light in regard to user. All GameEx is doing there is laoding graphics into DirectX. Errors here are normally related to files or fonts not existing, graphics drivers, graphics memory or RAM. 2. It does not work for anyone. I am aware of this. I need to spend more time working on this. 3. Yep, I know, poeple talk about this. I just answered another post about this. I think there are things that I can do with the code when I have time, but pretty much everyone has varying degrees of this. On my systems its only about 4 seconds. 4. Not currently, but its already been requested, and I do plan to implement it at some stage. 5. Good idea, its now on the list. 6. It was buggy, so I disabled it until I have time to fix it. 7. I like this idea too. 8. Thats normal if you set up a path to your music and have the Jukebox Disabled. The Jukebox does not use this path, it uses the Windows Media Player Librarry. Either add your music to windows media palyer and use the Jukebox, or delete the path to your music.
  25. Its mainly doing these things in this order for a custom emulator on exit of emulator. 1. Closing the emulator process, and waiting a couple a seconds for it to shut down properly. 2. Reinitalising DirectSound and the the Bass Audio Library (used for playing soundfx, music and radio). 3. If playing a radio station, reinitialising and streaming that station. 4. Shutting down DirectX DirectDraw. 5. Reinitialling DirectDraw 6. Loading the DirectDraw surfaces, ie the GameEx graphics and images, and creating the font graphics. If theres any improvements that could be made, it would be with 1 probably and the coded delay.
