no dice, didn't work. my setup below dir - snaps (holds still pics of ROMS) dir - video snaps (holds AVI footage of ROMS) I have (in SNES GameEx Config) snaps path to the snaps directory and the video path to the video snaps. I am missing something here. any ideas. thanks, jeff

    avi for roms

i have a bunch of AVIs for the ROMS i have in my collection. Can someone out there tell me how to make them play in GAMEex when i highlight the ROM or however people in here get it play. thanks, jeff
  6. thanks a ton, that did it
  7. can someone tell me how to get fceu to go into fullscreen. I have the settings in the video box to go fullscreen when rom loaded. When gameex triggers a game in fceu the game starts in fullscreen, but then 2-3 seconds later the title and menu bar appear on top of fceu. Anyone got a fix for this. I am lost. thanks, jeff
  8. i did the light install so i could make it more seemless into MCE2k5. Everything looks correct so far it is just that MAME doesn't show up as a emulator choice and i have it enabled. Could someone lead me to how to get MAME to pop up along side of my other emulators. EX. Nintendo 64 Sega Genesis Nintendo Super Nintendo Atari 2600 Atari 5200 MAME <<<---- This is what i would like to see. thanks, jeff

    NES Emulator

I have FCU i think and have tried nestcle with no sucess. Can someone out there tell me the NES emulator that works best with GameEx and is easy to work with? Also tell which version number if you don't mind. thanks, jeff
  10. GOT IT!!!! looks like all the emulators had the setting 'ROM in folders' checked to 'YES' and i changed it to 'NO' and all it well. Thanks for the help. jeff
  11. should there be a listing for 'update list' inside of the other emulator categories or is the update list under mame a global that finds all? the reason i ask is when i go into the listing for N64 or SNES, the only option it gives me is to create snaps. thanks, jeff
  12. alright, that fixed mame, but what do i need to do about the other emulators. I can't get any of their roms to pop up when i choose. 'emulated games' and then say 'N64' any ideas. I am pretty sure i have the most up to date versions of those emulators. thanks for the help. jeff

  14. got the latest version of GameEx and installed on a MCE2k5 box in the house so I and son can play games from my era instead of the new stuff. I have used older versions of GameEx in the past without any problems. Got a new MCE2k5 box and wanted to get it running as well. and on to the point...... I can't get this to work at all. I even installed newest updates of 1. Mame32 2. Advance Mame 3. ZNes 4. Project 64 5. WGens I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times trying to get this to work and have had no luck. The is the specs of my latest try. New install of GameEx. Have run the 'Easy Config' program in GameEx and set the directories for Mame32. When I start GameEx, it shows the update list command, but when I run it, it never finds any ROMS. I have triple checked everything is correct and I am now at a loss as to how to get the ROMS to pop up. I will worry about the other emulators later, they are all doing the same thing. I am sure the directories are correct, so i have no clue what I am missing. Please, anyone out there that can help me I would appreciate it very much. Thanks, Jeff
