I will confirm the version that I have tonight and if it is 6.39 will try a further upgrade but I upgraded in early August so assume it is a higher version but this is assumption only and am not currently near the machin

I tried this but will try again tonight to make sure. It is whenever you select any menu item. Youc an scroll through the menu items without issue but as soon as you select one by pressing hte button the transition slows right down

I cant remember the version I was on. it was a bit of an older one maybe 6 months old, maybe a little more. I upgraded to the latest version. Starting games is fine it is the transition between menu items that is slow

I read the FAQ and still cant speed the system up. Gamex runs slow after selecting a list item, it works at normal speed when I scroll through the lists but as soon as i press enter it slows right down. Previously it was running great and only slowed after an upgrade. Any suggestions? Cheers Dan

I am now seeing it every time and seeing it for longer. it doesnt bother me because I turn it on and walk away then come back to play. I almost had to switch to a different front end because of my last issues but will stick with it and have decided to donate which I will do tomoorrow. Daniel

never heard of your issues! the issue was that for some reason gameex was not parsing the info over to mame so i added -ctrlr xarcade in the command lines and its now working

I fixed the issue with Mame games not loading from gameex by doing a completely fresh install. However now my x-arcade wont work in the MAME games when I launch them through gameex. It works in gameex, and also work when i launch directly from MAME. Any ideas? Cheers Daniel

I noticed the same but then I uninstalled and re-installed and its back.

thanx guys by far not a n00b but tries wiping settings and reconf via cofig tool which loads game but disables the controllers. will try tommorrow when i am sober and the grad final has worn off

I installed the latest version of MAME32 and now GameEx wont launch any of my MAME games. However they launch out of MAME32 without issues Any ideas what might cause this? Cheers

The las tplayed game updates to the one played in attract mode. Is there anyway to turn that off?

make sure it is in your root directory. Sometimes MAME wont load ros if Mame is located outside of C:\Mame
