  1. This should be a feature in the next release, along with Vertical cab support in GameEx with a rotated display. Yep it's coming, me and Headkaze have been busy working on it!
  2. Did you enable Zinc after updating the games list? If so you need to update it again.
  3. Bye then. I wont bother explaining how you stop it hapening then. Deleted.
  4. Glad your having fun. Cant see why not, should be able to plug it into line in.
  5. Theres no other way of doing this with your hardware. You either play the games at a normal ArcadeVGA resolution stretched, not stretched, or a normal windows stretched resolution. If you want more control over the arcadevga resolutions, you can turn off GameEx ArcadeVGA features and use this MAME resolution tool here: http://mamewah.mameworld.net/downloads.htm This should allow you to use -hwstrecth with the ArcadeVGA resolutions.
  6. If there was an easy solution, that I thought would pass my quality control, it would be done already. In your case though, you can just install seperate instances of GameEx on the same PC.
  7. c:\program files\gameex\config\gameex.ini
  8. The idea of an ArcadeVGA card is deffinitly not to stretch to games, and have them run at a close or the same resolution to the original game. ie like a real arcade. If you don't want to do this which seems a little strange to me, then just turn off the ArcadeVGA mode in GameEx configuration.
  9. Yes, you can use the delete key, and it doesnt delete the actual files, just filters them out. Tom
  10. Its nothing to do with recent hot fixes, this problem was reported a long time ago. GameEx even detects this problem, as the error in the log says. Somehow the way windows or .net is installed or setup, or because of other programs on the system, or disabled services, or missing OS files this issue happens. I stil have no idea why. The only known solution is to rebuild the OS. ie reinstall windows XP, and try again. If you search the forum you can read up a lot more in it, but theres no known fix. I'm really sorry, but I don't know of a fix for this, somehow your windows install is messed up, and that's the only information I can give you. Tom.
  11. Post your GameEx.ini and ill try and correct it for you, or remove this from your options: -bank 0 11111101 -bank 1 10110111
  12. Yep, happy Easter all, hope your having a good one. In regards to sound, check the MAME audio mode under audio options in the config. What is this set at? To make the filter options take affect you need to do an update list again.
  13. No, no way at the moment, why not add it in the feature requests topic?
  14. The version of MAME32 your using is over 3 years old and not supported by GameEx. Get a newer version.
  15. Just the sound? No error message? Do you have .net framework 1.1 installed. I'm guessing that's the issue. EDIT: ie you only have 1.0 installed?
  16. Only by putting the path to the boxart as the snap path.
  17. 1. Change the second setting under Advanced MAME in configuration. Look here for the codes: \GameEx\CONFIG\EMULATORS\VKCodes.htm 2. Not possible right now. Sorry.
  18. My PC just rebooted and I got the windows has recovered error. I've never seen windows do this before. The pc was not running GameEx, the pc just rebooted when I removed a bluetooh device in control panel. It says it records the info to the event log, so please check that out and post what's in there. Its not running .net framework 2.0. Although was rebuilt two days a go and has the "Latest Windows" patches. It has a fully RTM and licensed install of MCE 2005 on it. I get: System error: Error code 000000c2, parameter1 00000007, parameter2 00000cd4, parameter3 00000001, parameter4 84e1e554. For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp. Not very helpfull! This sounds to me like a driver/hardware issue to me. The box that crashed here is on its last legs, and has a faulty on board sound, as well as about 8 USB devices plugged into it!
  19. Hi, glad you spelled my name right The reason you probably did not get a reply is there's not enough info in your message even for me to understand why you have these problems. You need to be very and much more descriptive in explaining the exact issues your having, and exactly whats happening. As it is now I don't know. I mean you would not expect a Doctor to be able to cure you just by telling him your not feeling well. I also wanted to say this forum is the only place to get support and help, so your right to ask again, and your certainly not bothering anyone. We all generally like helping people. OK, now please help me help you, and as best as you can explain the issues much more descriptavly, with just the facts, and provide detail and examples of exactly what is happing. Take a lot of time over this, and check your next post several time for good english etc before hand. Take as long as you need. In addition, and just as important, as it says in the forum guide and tips, post your gameex.ini file and gameex log. Also provide information about the system your running, its hardware and software. Then maybe there is a chance. Here to help. Tom.
  20. That's a relief to me. In which case, please uninstall .net 2.0 and install 1.1 Then post your findings. Cheers.
  21. What I mean is for your games in The lists and the snapshots for your games, are you using videos for the snaps such as the ones from emumovies?
  22. The GameEx log would be helpful, and I'm curious to know the lists that are crashing, are they playing videos at all, and if so what codecs do you have installed? Is this a situation where GameEx has been running for days, or does it just happen quickly after a new session?
  23. Yes, please help me fix any bugs. It doesnt do anything like polling, Its just a loop that keeps running GameEx. Everytime GameEx exits it restarts it. It would be kind of crazy for me to code a crash system, and i'm not going to do it. The idea in software is to fix the bugs that cause the crashes!! To me this is all a little crazy talk, but I do understand where your coming from. Tom.
  24. This sounds like it could be the codecs your using, which is? Either that or GameEx has an issue playing too many videos, I'm assuming you have video snaps as probably the other report has? Its not running as .bat its a seperate file altogether from gameex.exe also called gameex. A bat file is a batch file, its like an old fashioned script. It can be launched like an exe. GameEx uses batch files to launch emulators.
  25. Yes. There's been no big issues for over a year then on Friday got an error and was down for about 5 hours and same Yesterday. I'm not personally involved with sorting it ou, the ISP is doing it, but as the problem happened twice hopefully they have fixed the route problem. Sorry about that folks! Night, what messages are missing? That's a bit worrying. I didnt notice.
