  1. Please post your log. Also, could you post GameEx.ini Thanks. Tom
  2. Is it only this theme that has the problem? Try deleting all the cached bitmaps from the data directory.
  3. Does this always happen after playing Donkey Kong 3?
  4. Yes probably, but if youve already launched the new version, yourll need to run the registry script.
  5. To determine if its a GameEx issue. Select run last game from the gameex start menu programs group.
  6. Yourll need to copy them over then run this registry file. Then launch GameEx. RemoveDbUpgrade.zip
  7. Yes, in which case its gameslist.ini and gameslist.txt.
  8. The favorites are now database driven there in an ms access database data.mdb in the data folder.
  9. Fixed. Thanks.
  10. Yeah I know sorry. Its not ideal, but at the moment I cant contain my enthusian and excitement about (waht I think is) the cool things Im doing. I'll probably calm down soon, and wont be as motivated, then yourll be waiting a month for an update. Sorry folks.
  11. I mean as in like sex
  12. 20th July, 2007 - GameEx 8.59 New feature: MNG videos now playable in screensaver
  13. hmm, sorry. Runs like "butter" here.

  15. I'm downloading the Valhalla theme now. Ill take a look.
  16. I added a bit more of a delay in 8.58. Can you try it?
  17. 20th July, 2007 - GameEx 8.58 New screensaver mode feature with the ability to have GameEx turn off the monitor/display Fixes wrong reolution being set after return from screensaver
  18. From what I can tell, buttons 1-8 are directional, or labelled as such on the connector? Perhaps I could check for buttons above 8? to be honest, I really hate adding new configuration settings, unless there absolutely really is no other way.
  19. I might have to, as GP-Wiz layout does not seem to conform to any kind of standard layout. I did a google, and most of the hits came from this forum
  20. I can make it check for button 21 no problem. What are the standard credit buttons on the GP-WIZ? Also specify if your starting from 1 or 0. Ill add support for it. EDIT: Its already gamepad friendly, it checks for 5 and 6 on the keyboard and button 6 on the gamepad. Take me like 5 minutes to add support for GP-WIZ
  21. You can cancel just by closing the windows or alt-f4. I dont plan to add anything else on to that, or spend any more time on auto update for now. Im more than happy with the way it works now. There's better things for me to focus on. Thats for emulators. Its an update to the advanced configuration. The advanced configuration file is an ini file, that allows you to do all kind of control mapping and allows extra tweaks. You can specify an advanced config file for each emulator. Some PC games do weird stuff like exit when you click the mouse. Its mainly intended for making GameEx work better with commercial games. Say in a game one of the buttons on your cab brings up a help page in a certain PC game. You can stop that with this.
  22. Actually, I dont have a robot.txt thats what I was thinking. I should probably google to find out about it, but any advice? To be honest, Firebrand is probably right, in that Im already doing OK (hence the topic), so probably best not to mess wit it all. I did just mirror www.gameex.net and gameex.net to to www.tomspeirs.com/gameex. I've been meaning to do that, but its probably not a good idea to redirect the pages Im guessing. I dont want to mess up what I already have.
  23. Its fixed in 8.56. Thanks for your help.
  24. Thanks, very helpfull. Now I'm guessing I should have an index file too? Can you tell me about that. Cheers. Edit, sorry, you probably mean index.html. My mistake. Also, currently the URL for GameEx is http://tomspeirs.com/gameex I do own GameEx.net though. Do you think it would help things if I moved the url to GameEx.net? Obviously Id have to redirect the existing folder.
  25. Yeah, lol, I just seen the error reports come flying in. Im updating a new version now. Whoops!
