  1. OK, all should be fixed now, and Ive added Daphne support to it. Can you please try 8.66?
  2. Jay, can you post your GameEx.ini, then hopefully I can duplicate the problem. Thanks for your help.
  3. That was always the case with the CPU, but NOT in the latest versions. Can you confirm, you had choppiness before you installed the latest version? Post your log so I can see your system specs. Unless you specifically need it its safe to remove .net 1.1
  4. Assuming nothing else changed, and no windows or gameex updates were installed..... (was that the case?) A wild guess here, is that a memory chip failed on your cab, and its now got something silly like 128MB. Or perhaps some other hardware failed. Assuming nothing else changed. Id look at that. Also something to try is deleting and recreating your windows page file, this was a solution to the choppiness issue in the past. Also do a defrag.
  5. From the FAQ: http://www.gameex.net/Support/FAQ/tabid/62/Default.aspx Q: My custom emulators or applications just give me a black screen, sometimes with sound. A: Make sure the application is set to launch full screen. If it is not a DirectX application, or this still does not work, set ShowDesktop=True
  6. I've just released 8.65, which automatically turns off a few settings, such as flat mode etc. Can you try it please?
  7. Can you make sure flat menus/start page is turned off, and try again please?
  8. Im sorry to hear that, but Im surprised I've never heard of such a problem, and I doubt its specfic to this version. GameEx does make a backup of the configruation file in the Config folder when it installs, so check that out.
  9. Sorry should be dl2.exe.lnk
  10. try deleting these two files in C:\program files\gamex\data KaraokeFiles.dat KaraokeData.dat The only thing you should need to do with karaoke is set the path to where your cdg and mp3 files are located. Note these should not be ziipped but seperate files. Its probably a small issue with GameEx rather than you doing anything wrong, so dont be confused
  11. Oh yeah sorry, I have it setup as a shortcut. Its still very odd though. Do this, create a shortcut for dl2.exe with the same name. For the emulator config, put the rom filter as dl2.lnk, and tell it to run as one pc game. (Yourll need to update the two paths to point to the shortcut.)
  12. You didnt perhaps by accident turn on the feature to turn off the monitor in screensaver?
  13. Are you using a registered version of GameEx??
  14. Plays videos fine for me. Can you post the log with it freezing. Are you saying it always played videos ok prior to the update, or you ust tried it? I have not changed anything with videos in screensaver last two version.
  15. Same as working path the path where DL2 is.
  16. I did add exception checking to it. I also made it create a default cfg file to bypass the disclaimer. Do you have the bypass disclaimer turned off normally? I expect its that thats screwing up MAME Plus for some reason.
  17. Yeah your right, I just tried it. Very strange. I have it setup as an emulator here. That works fine, so yourll have to do that.
  18. I dont think so. Its running fine here. GameE does not actually run that command, its just for logging purposes. Its not changed either. It runs \data\runitgame.bat See if that above file runs.
  19. Change it to this: start "dl2" /wait dl2.exe
  20. Like I said post the command your using to launch it. Then Ill give you a modifed one.
  21. For starters dont be worried how people will take to you as an American, its so multi cultural here. People will most likely be interested in you I would think. I have someone come round to me and cut my hair, just a simple buzz cut/crop, shaved grade 2. It costs me £10 and I give her a pound tip. Considering she drives over, stops for coffee, and tidys up a little, I dont think that is a lot at all.
  22. In windows not Gameex.
  23. It wont be for everyone, but this feature, turns GameEx into an almost completely different front end. Its like the original GameLauncher app, but with the power and advanced configuration of GameEx. I already credit Dave Dribin for helping inspire me with GamEx, but hats off to the original game launcher. http://www.dribin.org/dave/game_launcher/
  24. Whats the command line your using to launch it as an external app? Have you got Show Desktop turned on? It needs to be.
  25. Where I leave there are like probably 25 hair saloons/barbers in a 5 mile radius. Lots of competition, and hairdresseres are generally poorly paid, and tipping is much less here. Once youve paid for the flight and exchanged currency, $3500 dollars will probably last you about a month if your renting on the outskirts of london and live really cheaply. Your cant seriously consider moving over here on that. Probably enough for the vacation. Are you serious about this?
