  1. To be honest, by the sound of it its doing what it is supposed to do, or at least what I meant it to do. To have GameEx stay in the game you press button 5. Its in the docs. Maybe I misunderstand, its that not working? EDIT: Thats zero based button 5, so could be button 6
  2. Yeah, if thats happening the emulator is not setup properly.
  3. 19th July, 2007 - GameEx 8.55 Fixes setting wrong resolution after returning to GameEx For registered users the ability to block keys and mouse buttons via an advanced emulator config file Auto update will now restart GameEx if it fails. Completely cab and shell friendly.
  4. The issue might be fixed 8.55 Ill be releasing it shortly.
  5. It should work fine. I've been able to run it and 1080 without issues. Also if your desktop is running at the same res, tell GameEx not to change resolution. It should automatically detect, but maybe its not. Can you post the log?
  6. Yeah Well your obviously on the ball though...
  7. If its only affecting certain MAME games, ie just CPS3 games its nothing to do with GameEx, and not a lot I can do about it. it must be some kind of MAME issue. Is it only CPS3 or certain games?
  8. I dont know about the CPS3 issue though. Your log shows gameex exiting cleanly. Can you give a bit more detail around exactly whats happening with that.
  9. Yeah, your right. Im looking at it now.
  10. A bit off topic, but a few facts The forum has getting on for 2000 members, and nearly 25,000 posts. Googling "media center game front end" - First Googling "mame htpc" - First Googling "mame screensaver" - First Googling "mame media center" - Third Googling "mame front end" - Seventh
  11. The first one was fixed in the latest version. The screensaver still being enabled was the cause of the error people were getting. Perhaps for the next version, ill make GameEx restart instead of exit.
  12. Sorry, it was actually a bug. Just fixed it.
  13. Something that might help, is telling GameEx not to set the resolution under display settings in advanced configuration.
  14. Thanks for the error report, its fixed now my end.
  15. Could you post your log after this happens please. Also, this is most likely a Vista issue, I get all kinds of video issues. Are you using the latest nvidia drivers?
  16. No worries, its just a problem (gripe) for me when people post or appear to post a bug report for a release notes news post for a specific version, when the bug goes back quite a few versions.
  17. I reiterate to everyone, especially regulars who should know by now, please be a little careful where you post bug reports for GameEx. Posts like this waste a LOT of my time investigating, thinking I've introduced a new bug in the latest version.
  18. Yeah, im just not sure if your saying this is a new issue or not. ie it used to work.
  19. Just to clarify what buttons do you refer to as "Player" buttons?

    A bit help please

To be honest, I'm finding this thread a little funny:) Its a strange one alright! If your tying to get a free license, its an inventive way of doing it. Better than the begging emails I sometimes get Seriously, Im sorry your having problems, but I have nothing else to suggest for now.
  21. Big Smile
  22. Look at the game to video ratio setting in advanced config. Edit: I wonder why you want that

    A bit help please

Whether they seem stuck on not, windows is detecting either 1 or 2 being pressed. If your using a cab (which would be useful if you told us) check your wiring, if your using wireless keyboard or mouse they could interfere. End of the day Windows (not GameEx) thinks 1 or 2 is pressed. If you seriously want help, then provide some more detail about what you got setup there. Thanks, Tom.
  24. No offence but this is not the correct thread for this. This is release notes for a version of GameEx.
  25. This is now fixed in the latest release.
