  1. Theme uploads need to be .zip files. You can by the way create a standard zip file both with WinRar and 7zip.
  2. If a core component is removed from the Windows Install by Nlite, you wont be able to reinstall it without instaling windows that has it included. The only database components you can download from MS is MDAC. I suspect something core is missing from your install though. You can try reinstalling .net 2.0 and try installing MDAC. Otherwise, your out of luck im afraid. EDIT: If you can traslate the error for me I might have a better idea. Error: Die SELECT-Anweisung schliet ein reserviertes Wort oder einen Argumentnamen ein, das/der falsch, mit falscher Zeichensetzung oder überhaupt nicht eingegeben wurde. Also try the latest version of GameEx. 8.19 is somewhat old now.
  3. Sounds like you've enabled one of the Emulator Groups in the advanced configuration.

I've got some up now on the GameEx site. Thanks. Tom
  5. Try this. Open Windows Explorer, navigate to C:\program files\gameex\ Right click the Data folder. Click properties. Click the secutiry tab. Make sure all users on the syste, have FULL access to the folder, and nothing denied. Click the Advanced Tab. Check the replace Child Permissions. Click OK. Click OK. Delete C:\Program Files\GameEx\DATA\tmppdf.pdf if it exists. I think that should fix the other problem
  6. I want to keep the Ads.
  7. Yeah, I am aware of the problem, it seems to be some kind of IE bug, it does seem better now than when the site first went up though. Im completely stumped on how to fix it (I have tried lots of things). Hopefully there'll be a patch out for either IE or the portal software soon.
  8. Just wanted to remind people, with the new gameex site at www.gameex.net, there is the feature available to upload complete themes now. So if you wanted to do a mix tape, go for it (Theres a temporary issue with the themes page just at the mo due to my host).
  9. Hi, from what you say, it sounds like its fine. Thanks. Tom
  10. Why not just turn off the option to captitalise words?
  11. The GameEx media player is low level, allowing me full access to DirectShow, so it should be possible. I just dont know how to do it. If there are any devs out there that would like to help, Id be happy to take the advice. I cant use code from Media Portal as GameEx is not open source, its also too big a proect for me to work out the code easily (I have looked at it in the past). Im not in contact with any Media Portal devs, and I think it would be rude to ask for help as GameEx is not open source.
  12. If someone lets me know where it is, Ill host it. Is this wrapper specifically for GameEx? Who authored it?
  13. Thats the thing, if it was simple I would have done it already. I have no idea how to implement this into GameEx. Its not simple nor easy to do. The solution to have GameEx play the videos in other locations would be set the MPC emulator to use shortcuts, and create shortcuts for all your videos and put them in one folder.
  14. Scrap that, please try the attached GameEx.exe replacement. Try and view a manual and post the log. Thanks. GameEx.zip
  15. Does this file exist on your system? C:\program files\gs\gs\bin\gswin32c.exe" Is your program files folder on your install set to the normal path. ie you have not used anything to tweak it etc? Are you using standard XP Pro SP2? Could you click Start > Run > CMD Then put in the above, and let me know what it says.
  16. Do the videos play in Media Player? I think it must be some kind of Codec issue then.
  17. OK, there hosted now.
  18. Make sure you have "Advanced Graphics" turned on.
  19. Im downloading them now, I should be able to host them no problem. Its easy now we have the new Portal
  20. Could you try running "Run Last Game" from the gameex windows program group. See if that works. That is the command GameEx uses. if it does not run, and you edit that bat file. Add "Pause" to the end of the file and save and run it. it should show the MAME error. Also if you have no problems with the above, try turning off the Bypass Disclaimer option. Please report back.
  21. Correct, that is how to do it. Thanks KC.
  22. Its working now in 8.69, now available. Thanks. Tom
  23. It seems "Create MAME videos" is broen in recent releases Ill get it fixed.
  24. By the way, in the past thishas been down to a nlited/skimmed install.
  25. Can you give me an exact example of how its not working. eg whether its mame or an emulator (and which one) the rom name i questuion, and also zip and post your gameex.ini file and log. Cheers.
