  1. I watched the first quarter and the last half (pretty much everything besides the athletes marching out...that was during my drive home from work lol) ...I was quite impressed with it - it was much better than Bejing in my opinion. I also heard that it was the costliest opening ceramony in olympic history! :0 You Britians have a way of spending money lol The best part that I liked was when they played Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon" during the fireworks finale. Also, does anyone know how they rigged the seats for the LED displays? ...I thought the way they did it was really impressive!
  2. Figured it out already! lol... I had to delete the "JukeboxData.dat", "JukeboxFiles.dat", and JukeboxLastModifiedCache.dat" files located in the GameEx Data Folder, then restart GameEx - just in case someone else has this problem. I just hope that I don't have to do this everytime I rip my vast collection of cds when I want to add more music to my cab :\ Tom: I am going to hopefully try and bring this to your attention (by adding "Attn TOM" in the title - still kinda a newbe lol) I'm going to continue to gather more album art tomorrow - sometimes windows media sucks at automatically finding album art - and will post here if I have to delete the three files stated above again. If I do have to, can you look into it more and see if it is a bug in the new version that is causing these files not to be updated? Thanks in advance! LC
  3. Allo Allo to all!! I have a quick question - I noticed something that I'm not sure if its something on my Computer, or a potential bug in 12.77... I have been updating the album art for a portion of my music tracks in Windows Media, and I noticed that any change I do in the album art does not reflect when running GameEx. I am attaching my GameEx.ini in case any of you need it. Thanks in advance!!! GameEx.ini
  4. Thanks Tom! ....I says it once like I says it again - You da man!! lol
  5. Thanks Draco Lol, I have Shark007 installed on a 32 bit Windows 7 system. I will follow the process as ya described (basically reinstalling it on a 32 bit system - lol, not gonna do 64 ) and will see if I can get it to use the .mp4 files in the screensaver without erroring. In the meantime, I went ahead and placed this topic as [RESOLVED] only becasue that the problem has been pinpointed on my cab as what seems to be a codec issue. Last night, I tested with all the MAME avi video files I downloaded from Emumovies, and it worked very well as expected . After I finish reinstalling the codec pack from Shark007 and test it out again, I will post my results Thanks again GameEx team for all your hard work and efforts!!
  6. Good Morning! Lol, I just woke up from the strangest dream - I was trying to find some Blackberry Cobbler...never really found any lol. Anyway, Thanks Tom for the attached file - I'm gonna try it out . I agree with Adultery about the small lag - its really small. The only time it ever became more than just a second was when it was trying to download artwork from emumovies. Speaking of, on a future release, can you make it to where it will download from Emumovies at a timed interval or something? lol - I've noticied that when even coming out of the screensaver or starting the application, it rechecks everything, which in turn seems to create the bit of an extra lag. About the Olympics - You seen the Olympic Tourch pass by? ...You are one lucky motha f@#ker Tom!! lol ...I almost had the chance to see the Olympics when it was in Atlanta years ago, but was in the same boat as you - had to apply for the tickets. I have a friend here who got her tickets to the Olympics that year - it seems that she goes to the summer olympics ever four years, including this one. I'm gonna be watching it at home though - gives me a good area of space to cuss at the tv if the U.S. doesn't get the gold lol
  7. Thanks Adultery! Lol, I got so caught up in playing Metal Slug, that I kinda forgot to put the [RESOLVED] in the title. Lol, and as for the Urkel Dance - it was part of ABC's TGIF lineup of marketed dances - along with "Step by Step"'s weird Cody Character...I would trade in the whole lineup though if they could bring "Dinosaurs" back on air lol! ...oh good times, good times lol Thanks Tom! I am really happy with the update! ...there are a few times where it seems like it slows down a little (is a little laggy when it comes to the video snaps), but I can live with all that to see it up and going
  8. Ha Ha!!!! IT WORKS!! IT WORKS!!! THANKS TOM AS WELL AS THE WHOLE GAMEEX TEAM!! :D :D You just made me dance like this in my living room: LOL!!!
  9. Ahh! Cool!! lol...I didn't notice there was another update until now...makes me even happier . I'm gonna give it a shot and post how it goes! Thanks a million!
  10. I'm finally about to get off work and going to try out the v12.64 when I get home! I'll post on how it goes - in the meantime, I got my fingers crossed lol Before I start any kinda install, I am planning on doing a fresh install with 12.64 - do I still use the GameEx.exe file that Tom attached?
  11. Thanks Tom! I'll try it out when I get back home later tonight ...Just to make things a little clear, would I have to disable the login information to Emumovies in the Setup Wizard before running GameEx (for at least the first time)? @Draco - when you say something about clearing the cache, are you talking about deleting the remaining files after uninstalling GameEx? Thanks again for all your hard work and efforts!
  12. Cool! Thanks Tom! I just made it to work, but when I get home, I will test it out and see how it goes. What I mean by "crash", basically what it does is after I click the GameEx.exe, it will look like it's trying to load (the screen will go black, and the GameEx Home screen will be kinda faint)...while the animation for GameEx starts, the whole screen will then go black again, and the Windows Error window will pop up saying that the program will be shut down (in other terms lol). After hitting cancel a couple of times, it will return to "a portion" of the desktop...and to better explain "a portion", it shows the toolbar, but all the icons on the desktop are hidden - which I think its the "hide OS" still runs or something... Anyway, lol, I hope that how I explained it (even in a not so clear way) helps some. I'm looking forward to all the awesome new features to the new version of GameEx! Thanks in advance LC
  13. Thanks Tom I've tried it and its still crashing when loading. Here is the log file it created log.rar
  14. Hello! I've tried with the new file you attached, and also disabled "Play jukebox on startup", and it's still doing the same - crashing on loading. Here is the new log and config file in case you need it. Thanks again for all the help! Lol, I have faith that we'll get this to work somehow GameEx.ini log.txt
  15. Lol, well since ya offered - This is how I installed: I first uninstalled 12.70, without deleting any of the remaining files in H:\GameEx, and redownloaded 12.73 from the website. I then installed the 12.73 version and before launching the application, I replaced gameex.exe file with the gameex.exe file that you attached earlier. I then ran GameEx via the new gameex.exe file. I'm attaching the log and config files that was created in case you need them Lol, if you lived close to Mississippi, I would share a beer with ya for all your hard work - since ya probably live further away though, I will upgrade my membership to a lifetime membership to GameEx when I get my next paycheck - you can buy yourself a few ice cold ones with that money lol Thanks in advance! log.txt GameEx.ini
  16. I think I found the issue of what's going on with the the attract/screensaver - Long story short lol - I used the default videos that came with GameEx (.avi files) to play during the screensaver and it worked well. I'm thinking that its the .mp4 format that might be kicking it off and making the black screen - kinda a codec issue it seems. I'm redownloading all the videos now in .avi format and when its done, will test it out and post if it worked or not. Thanks again to everyone for all your hard work and efforts!
  17. Lol, its cool man....You are working hard on this issue, and I have all the patience in the world - plus v12.70 to keep my cab up in the meantime I downloaded the file you attached and reinstalled 12.73, but it still has the same issue as it did before with crashing. If it's a different issue, please put whatever's going on in my cab with 12.73 on the back burner to take care of the larger picture of what's going on . I can still live with using 12.70 for however long it takes, and I know that when the new version will be ready to work on my cab, it will be better than ever! Thanks again, and you da man Tom! LC
  18. Hello! Ummm....I hate to break the news to ya this early in the a.m. Tom (well, here its am lol), but I just downloaded 12.73 and tested it on my cab, and its doing the same thing as 12.71 did - crashes when loading. Thanks for all the help so far I'll attach the log and config files in case ya need it. log.txt GameEx.ini
  19. Is there a way I can get the 12.70 version that I can use until the newer version is fixed?
  20. Yeah, I fear the same thing. Lol, and I didn't back up any files, but its cool - It'll only take an evening with an ice cold beer to reconfigure everything. I just hope that it will get fixed soon so I can start reconfiguring and have the cab back working 100% . This might just be a weird hunch, but I think it maybe that it's looking mainly toward C:\ that it's causing the error...my computer is set up that my harddisk is H:\ due to the amount of input drives on the front (eg. SD card slot, etc) - but I can't find a way for it to look at H:\GameEX\DATA\EMULATORS.
  21. Hello again to all! Thanks Tom, Draco, as well as all other team members for all the hard work so far! I manually downloaded the 12.72 version, and coming up with the same errors as AlphaUMi...its automatically crashing and stating that it cannot find the C:\GameEx\DATA\EMULATORS I even messed up (for my part) and completely unstalled all of GameEx, settings, config....to give a full fresh install and it still shows the same error. log.txt
  22. Hello all! I was very happy to see the new version of GameEx this morning, and all of its new features seems to be excellant! There is just one problem I am having though when trying to start up the new version of GameEx - It stops responding and Windows shuts it down. I have tried uninstalling it and then manually downloading it and reinstalling, but it still does the same thing. Is there anything in Windows that I have to update to get it to run correctly? I'm attaching the log file that was created after running the 12.71 version.- I've downgraded to the 12.65 version, lol its the only other version that was saved on my harddisk. Thanks in advance!! LC [EDIT] - Oh, lol, failed to mention before - I am running Windows 7. log.txt
  23. Hello! Here is the GameEx.ini file as of today. I've tried to go through the setup wizard to see if I can pinpoint what"s going on, but so far, its looking like a bit of a challenge lol. Thanks for all your help so far!! GameEx.ini
  24. Hello again to all! It seems like the update to the codecs didn't help anything - it is still having the same problem. I rechecked all the settings in windows 7 last night to ensure that the computer itself would not go on any kind of standby. I'm stumped now lol... By the log, it seems like it does this action around 2 -3 hours after going into the screensaver/attract mode. Maybe there is something I'm missing - I'm gonna go through the wizard today with a fine toothed comb lol Anyway, thanks for all the help so far!
