First, I will state that I plan to post my log and .ini when I get home tonight. I just wanted to see if anyone else has been experiencing the same thing I have. Lately, I will go into the setupwizard and change a few things around. I verify it and it seems to check out. I then click on the .exe shortcut for the GameEx application and I get nothing. The circle spins a little while, but nothing opens. I checked the log thinking I could figure it out there, but the log has nothing in it from my attempt to open. After a restart of my computer, I can open GameEx without issue. I plan on experimenting a little with themes when I get home too. I feel like it was somehow related to going from one of the supplied themes to a custom theme. However, I don't think this as much because it has also been occurring when I edit Arcade Edition or Evolution. No matter what, after I restart, it works great. I also recently did a fresh windows install, but I was experiencing the issue prior to the refresh install too. Thanks!

@Dansmell I second LAV filters. One thing for clarification. Are you meaning video snaps of the game play or theme videos? As far as the time thing. Have you set back your clock for some reason? I am not sure what that means.

Not sure on this, but I don't think you can use the same regkey on multiple machines. It's kind of stealing?

Have you seen a good tutorial on this LUA hiscore deal. I'm looking to add this into the .180 MAME pack Tom shared.

I guess I didn't really expect a new system. Just a small update to a classic. I had an Atari as my first console. Then it was NES and SNES. I did buy a Wii and I love Mario Cart Wii. I just can't help but feel like Nintendo keeps dropping the ball. They're flopping and you would think their CEO would want continued buzz. With this Classic, they have momentary hype. They've been flailing and will need to capitalize further. This switch deal doesn't entice me at all. I guess I just need to hang up my Nintendo love in the closet and let it be.

@hansolo77 @Adultery THANKS! I have done the custom high score emulator in the past, but I installed a new GameEx recently to fix some bugs I had created. I have yet to redo the emulator. It appears that @Adultery has the high score lists for monthly comps and leader boards built into his Game Info plugin. If that is the case, his plugin download thread may deserve a PIN in this forum. NEW! Supports GameEx's Hi-Score competition directly *Online only feature! The reason this all came about appears to be an error on my part. I saw a post by @Cynicaster in the Defender GOTM thread with a screenshot of his score. On the screenshot, it has his initials and also MAM, which I believe @Mame Offender uses as his initials. I made the connection and assumed there was somehow a way to keep scores in a universal list now. Either way, the Game Info plugin looks sweet! I am going to add that tonight.

Ok, I think I recall the MAP file from my initial working with the snapper. I believe the MAP was auto created somehow. II guess I am just wondering how I get GameEx to show it to me. Is there a place to change a setting in the wizard to allow this or is it already built in and I just have yet to notice it? I see the hitotext deal from headkaze, but that seems different. I know the actual manager is for you guys and updating scores sent in. I would just like to visually see the fruits of your labor on my end... Thanks @hansolo77

This looks awesome! I have been a little non-existent in the hiscore forum lately. I need to do a rebuild of MAME now that I snagged the nice system pack from the FTP. I plan on adding this functionality into GameEx too.. @Adultery @hansolo77 I am wondering how this looks in GameEx for someone who does not have the edit ability for the scores. Is it a selection within the game menu in GameEx prior to launching MAME or is it literally within the game inside MAME?

They just seem to fail lately. They have awesome games that they can bring back from the past. I love the nostalgia of the NES classic. However, I still have my own old NES. It would be nice for them to release something that plays these games and new ones. Some sort of cross platform deal. Meaning something like a new Wii with the ability to buy new games. However, the console would come preloaded with like 30 NES classics. Then give the option to buy additional classics at $1 a game. Maybe at a built in NES Classic App Store. Then maybe even have SNES. Now give the option to have wired or wireless controllers at varying price levels. It just seems like they miss the mark too often lately.

I just saw an article stating that someone has now added all the games to a classic. Only a matter of time. I like the classic for the nostalgia, but a part of me wishes they would have done some minimal upgrading. Things like, go full screen, allow for game changing with ease and wireless controllers. The games and case are nostalgic to me.

Cool, I used @headkaze's compiler the first time and it went really well. Sorry for the MAME compile 101 questions here. I only have a couple more: 1. When utilizing this compiler, can I build from the MAME file I already have? 2. Or do I have to download new files, compile and then move the .exe to the file I already have? THANKS!

I snagged the MAME pack from the FTP and I'm loving it all. The only drawback is that it did not have built in hi score support. I compiled my own MAME awhile back and I think it would be as simple as just moving that .exe to the new folder... even if it was that easy, I'd still like to operate with .180 instead the .143 build I had. I thought maybe it would be as easy as just moving my hiscore.dat file into the folder, but that did not work. Is it possible to add hiscore to an already complete MAME or do you have to compile you own? If it is possible, can anyone point me in the direction of a good tutorial on adding the hiscore function without a complete compile? Thanks and Happy New Year all!! DarkStar: I recently downloaded Evolution and I am loving it so far. I was able to locate the SetupWizard file in the bin file inside the GameEx Evolution file. If you go in there, you can edit some things to your liking. In regards to the AimTrak guns, I have two and the sensor mounted inside my cab behind my glass. One of them works amazing, but I am still struggling with issues when I plug in the second. I have debated just having them permanently plugged in. I have USB inputs on the outside of my controls panel. I like just plugging them in there when I need them and I have them stored in a drawer. Now that stigzler posted they work with TC3 I am going to have to invest more time in them.
