  1. In GameEx\DATA\ folder, try to delete every file with *.dbcache as extension. Run GameEx again and let it rebuild the cache.
  2. Option #3 for me, although I use GameEx as a frontend for the 70% of the time...
  3. Happy New Year Everyone!
  4. Ah, now I understand.... sorry to say that, as far as I know, there isn't an option to remove those lines...
  5. I liked your first "design", but this "second version", or revision, is much much better! My compliments Krak!
  6. Wait... do you mean "Favorites" and "Last Played"? That kind of info? If so, they can be removed with the configuration tool (Setup Wizard)... maybe in the general settings, IIRC. Can't check where exatcly those options are now... but if you need I can post a screenshot later or tomorrow...
  7. They are stored in GameEx\Data\data.mdb. It's an Access file, you can open it with Microsoft Access. Just delete all the entries.
  8. Awesome! Can't wait for this release! Estimated time of arrival, if I can ask?
  9. Merry Christmas!!
  10. Very good explanation nullPointer! I feel to strongly suggest no-intro sets, they are clean sets and seem to be the most pupular nowdays. Koop, unless you are a game archeologist or a collector of everything game-related, no-intro sets should be your cup of tea...
  11. Speaking of GameEx configuration, just start by learning to use the Setup Wizard (Setup Wizard.exe). The "?" buttons give you some explanation of what any option does... you can disable every feature you aren't going to use and leave only MAME.
  12. Just edit your first post... How did you resolve the flickering/stuttering issue?
  13. Unfortunately I can't assist you into building and configuring a cabinet (Xpadder, how to set up Windows and GameEx in a cabinet and so on): but I can assure you that more experienced users and the moderators here will guide you 'til the goal. But maybe I can be of help configuring GameEx for your needs: first thing, do you want to use only a MAME set, or are you planning to include other emulator in your setup?
  14. In my opinion your theme is amazing as it appears in the screenshots. Can I suggest to release a 1.0 version, and possibly (hopefully) wait for Tom or Ben to implement the desired feautures? It wouldn't be a pain to update your theme with the newest features when they will be available... In the meantime, my compliments for your work... keep it up!
  15. Ok, I use Magic Engine but have and older version than yours... but let's try arguing with general knowlege of the emulator. First, it doesn't matter how your cd bios image is named... just check for the Magic Engine ini file if it points to the right directory (which should be the same directory of pce.exe). Secondly, modify your command line accordingly to match that name, or, reversely, rename the file to match your command line... In the end, check that the file, the entry in the pce ini, and the command line in GameEx are all coherent...
  16. I'm not an expert here but I suggest to check if "use fddshow" is enabled both in Shark007 and GameEx config. AFAIK GameEx works well with Shark007 and fddshow.
  17. I'm amazed too... and eager to see this theme completed... speaking of which... Chazz, could you please give us some news about your progress?
  18. I'm afraid you should change the exit button for both GB Amiga and GB64 and disable the escape key from the gamebase settings in Setup Wizard. AFAIK there is no way to treat separately the global exit keys for the various Gamebase databases.
  19. I feel to quote every single word you said, nullPointer, even the commas. And I will become a fully supporting member of Emumovies next year (in January I think), as soon as I'll get that money...
  20. It has been a pleasure nullPointer. I'm curious to hear from dukeofarcadia if it works for him as it always worked for me with some reluctant emulators (don't know with bsnes since I don't use it).
  21. Thank you for this update Adultery!
  22. As nullPointer stated, Xpadder is a great solution but you can gain the same result with the GameEx controller mapping utility (AdvancedConfigEditor.exe). Open this utility. In "Keys to send on Exit", insert the key(s) bsnes uses to quit. Then go to the "Game Pad Exit" tab: Click "Enabled" and map your combo keys. Save the file and name it as you want. The open the ConfigWizard, select "Custom", then Advanced Emulator Setup. Select the system you want to map (in your case it should be SNES (bsnes)). Do you see the line in grey? Advanced Config. Select the file you just saved. This should work. EDIT: fRequEnCy ninja'd me!!!
  23. I was a member of a team that was used to translate TES:IV Oblivion Mods. In first instance, I translated mods that I was going to play. The generosity resides in sharing your work, because it could be of use for others. So I perfectly understand your statement!

    Vote for GameEx

... Right, and we love them 'cause they are that way, isn't it?
  25. Wow! Really, this theme is amazing! With respect speaking, it's time for a v4 HTPC oriented theme, since GameEx is more that a bare gaming frontend...
