Have you tried telling gameex not to switch resolutions? Or a choosing a default theme? That comes first to mind... Also a little more info about your hardware would be helpfull.

I think it could be sorted by game name SF2 4 quarters 1.00 dollar spent Played 1 time.. Or in my case sf2 1000000000 quarters 1 million dollars. Played 10.000 times

Yeah What happens is gameex is calling the gamees launcher.exe..When you run the game the launcher closes and gameex thinks your done so it exits... Hope this make since as to why it doesnt work quite right. I have afew other games that do this and I got them working....Does the DEMO fo the same thing.. If so Ill check it out... Im sure we can get it goin There is alot of talented peeps here

What happen when you goto Run last game.bat file located in gameex tree in start menu? If it works you might need to choose SHOWDESKTOP. If it runs a launcher a script might need to be made to automatically do the selected action. I dont have this game but this should point you in the right direction

you have two problems.. 1. Your romset is incorrect. Use CLRMAME to audit it... Read how to use it first. 2. gallaga is an IMPERFECT game.. It has wrong colors and by default gameex will filter out imperfect games..Add it to the donot filter list..Update game list and It should be selectable.

I will not repost.. BUT here is my argument. If this were a ROM what emu author packages roms WITH emulators...NONE because they would get their ass in a sling. If you are familiar whit MUGEN I see this as very simular(a collection of sprite rips and sounds). Its FAN art. Someone took a picture of a hand held,Someone re drew the backroud behind the LCD.Somone recorded the little beep it makes when you jump in a WAV. They put it together and SIMULATE how it works. There is no Emulator(Program that is interpeting ROM code that is not theirs) No ROM images that they do not have the copyright to. The way they use the nintendo logo is no diffrent then the way we all use it here in the themes.(Lets not remove those as well ) This program and the others are really just a tribute to the past.

I went from mame 115 to mame 117 by just overwriting the programs executables and copy and pasting the new roms into the roms folder and doing an audit game lists. I always grab all the DATS and INI and other funn stuff and Update gamelist. I have never had a problem..neo Geo has always worked..MAME did chage the the way the driver functioned (trying to make it more accurate) but the required bios never changed. You can always aquire another set from one of the many torrent sites. But Id try getting the dats and INIs first.

Ok guys I agree with no logic about CLRMAME...You might need it. If you use MAME32 goto file and AUDIT ALL GAMES...It wont rename your rom set like CLRMAME but it will tell you more or less how compatable your romset is. Also download catver.ini and any other supplmentle INI you can find. like history.dat nplayers.ini... Bascally any thing gameex will let you configure in the advanced config under MAME settings. Once that is configured. Update the games list. This should sort you out. As far as the instant sheller is concerned. hit CTRL+ALT+DEL.. If you have changed the cursor into the black dot you will have to use TAB. Goto file new task. type EXPLORER this SHOULD bring the windows desktop back. And you can goto Gameex advanced config and in the LAUNCH ON EXIT feild you can put explorer.exe This way when you exit gameex it goes into windows explorer. Additionally Instant Sheller has the option to SHELL PER USER ACCT(If you chose that boot into safe mode and log in as that user) . So what you should do and it is what I do is. 1. Create two USER ACCTS both administrator. Configure windows to automatically log into one of the user accts and use instant sheller to only install for that user. 2. When you want to go into OS simply log into the other acct. (However I use Terminal Services and RDP into my cab from another pc on my network. I log in as the other user acct and gives my cab a more authentic look.. no keyboards no mouse..I use a Tv and youd never realize it was windows based. ) If you want to UNDO it run REGEDIT.Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon] "Shell"="Explorer.exe" NOTE THERE WILL BE MORE INFO IN HERE BUT ONLY WORRY ABOUT SHELL. Good luck... Remember always back up the reg before changing it.

I use megaupload cause none of my Antivirus starts warning me when I go there . I guess thats what the gimmik is..They provide a little Webspace for free..They get paid per click by the advitiser... You get a free download....You get the herpes (err I mean spyware) and every ones happy. In All seroiusness get another AV program. Yes games have to be in seprated folders. Just make shortcuts to all the games in one folder and have gameex use that as the working path using the *.lnk rom filter. Uploads are coming shortly. I will just edit this post.

Sorry it will not work.... However Copy the intstaller to it as well. Once its all setup copy the gameex directory from the program files folder the the external drive.. When you get to your friends install GE (let it create all the reg keys and associations) then over write the gameex folder. Now you will have all your configs. This is the easy way and might promote your friend to register the program for them selves

I dont think the link needs to be removed. This is more of a simulation than a romdump. I also have a handfull of these simulators.. I Will upload and post a link when I get home today... Curently you cannot(At least that I know). The best you would be able to do is make a theme that has the snap shot/video. And make the text the same color as the backround this way you wont see it..however you lose everything else and really isn't something I would do. Also with only showing snap/video/marquee you lose other info for example.. You lose which ver of the game you are running. I for one like to know if I am choosing SFII champ or SFII rainbow/super fast/cheating/throw 110 fireballs that follow me version. As long as we throwing out other frontends.. Advance Menu (http://advancemame.sourceforge.net/menu-snapshot.html) Also looks like what you want to do with MAME. ( You can also make a CD/USBDRIVE that has the FE and ROMS and CONFIG so you can take it over a buddys...Also a requested function of GE. However it sux in comparison to GAMEEX and can I see why you want GAMEEX to do this as well. Maybe one of the Guru Theme Makers around here can shed more light on this.

I was going to mention getting a no cd crack. He didn't ask for anything to do with making it not require the cd. And Gameex does support checking CD/DVD for required files.. But it will save him a bunch of space on his HD I think it was more the loaders for the game that he wanted to bypass..Whick AHK works very well and I have you to thank for pointing it out. Now I can play Melty Blood seemlessly with my cab. Posting links to sites with cracks is walking a very fine line.. I'd have probably suggested doing a google search for NO CD CRACK game.exe We will see what happens....You might be able to get away with it as long as they dont have cracks for gameex (that would piss tom off) I'd remove them just to be safe.
