Bear in mind that this recommendation is based purely on reputation, but I've heard nothing but good things about the Ultimarc AimTrak. Andy Warne, who is the proprietor of Ultimarc, has a great reputation for positive customer service. I could be wrong, but I think Stigzler might use an AimTrak on his cabnet?

Haunted Castle! I had to get to a location where I had a minute to search on it. Pretty much a Castlevania game never released on any other platform (to my knowledge). I think it could be fun!

I like it! Ghouls-n-Ghosts and Ghosts-n-Goblins would also be solid choices. Wasn't there also a stand alone Castlevania game released for arcade (apart from the Playchoice-10 version)? That would be another good selection (assuming it's a scored game)

Hi ibleedspeed and Welcome to the GameEx forum! When you have a moment, please export your config for PCSX2 and post the contents here so we can take a look at what you've got so far. You can export your config directly from the GameEx Setup Wizard. Depending on the contents of your config it might also be helpful to take a look at your log as well as your runitgame.bat after attempting to run PCSX2, Here are the instructions on how to access all that info.

Along the lines of RIP-Felix' suggestion you might also consider taking RetroArch for a spin. One beneficial aspect this would afford is that you could still emulate NES using the Nestopia core, but without some of the troubling configuration management issues contingent with using Nestopia directly (RetroArch serves as the all purpose frontend for configuring each of the emulator cores within its ecosystem). All told I think RetroArch has really been gaining some momentum (and an increased user base) within the last year or so. It's also worth checking out if you've not done so.

As I've mentioned a couple times, I'm in the midst of overhauling all my emulator setups. As a result I'm finally getting around to taking PCSX2 Bonus for a spin. I just wanted to say that I encountered the same issue that you described here RIP-Felix (couldn't find Data directory), but I think I got'er licked. The trick is (at least in my case - probably yours too) that the PCSX2 data directory isn't found in the same directory as the PCSX2 executable. When I ran the initial configuration of PCSX2 1.2.1 it created a config directory completely separate from the executable directory. In my particular case it lodged itself into F:\Users\Aaron\Documents\PCSX2 (in other words, it's sitting in the 'My Documents' directory). The weird part is that at no point did I choose that directory (the Documents directory is for documents dammit! ), but there you go. I'm guessing your setup wound up similar to mine (if you haven't completely given up on Bonus).

I've been overhauling all my emulators recently, and can also confirm that PJ64 2.1 runs perfectly under Win7 x64. I've also not had any problems with Model 2 v1.1a. Mame pretty much keeps up with all current operating systems AFAIK. I think you're good to go dude!

If anyone can do it, you're the man for the job! In some ways I think the functionality of an app like this would be very similar to Mame Emu Mapping Magician. Where it deviates, (and perhaps where it becomes significantly more tricky), is that this app would need to be able to create an all new game list to display in GameEx with mapping to multiple emulators, whereas Mame Emu Mapping Magician is able to leverage the standard Mame list. Maybe this could be accomplished using dedicated emulator slots for each individual list? I dunno, but I can certainly say that I'd be highly interested in something like this. Finally I could create lists for the entire Mario series, Zelda series, Final Fantasy series, etc! Edit: Duuuude ... It would be super pimpin' if you could figure out how to force the app to use the Merge Sets feature so that all your favorites lists could live under a single emulator slot. So like you'd have an Emulator Slot called 'Favorites Lists' (or whatevs). Under that list (what would normally be your Game List) you'd see Super Mario Bros. Series, Legend of Zelda Series, etc. Then when you clicked on a series name you'd bring up the screen which linked to each individual game (what would normally be the game details screen - with multiple games selectable via the Merge Sets feature). It might get a little bit odd with the artwork and whatnot, but IMO it would be worth it to have multiple favorites lists while only sacrificing a single emulator slot.

That's a great looking machine all right! I really like that limited edition version! Totally agree that it's awesome to see new pinball machines being released.

The favorites list should be able to accomplish what you describe here, but not a lot more. The catch is that there is only one global favorites list for all of GameEx. So let's say if you wanted one list containing all the Outrun games and another list containing all the Ridge Racer games, the global favorites list is not going to be able to accomplish that. One of the more popular feature requests in GameEx has been to allow for the creation of multiple favorites lists. Please feel free to re-up that request if you'd like to do so. You could also probably achieve similar functionality using the Emulator Groups feature, but it would get complicated in a hurry since you'd need to do some heavy manipulation of ROM directories. You'd also likely chew through your available emulator slots and emulator groups pretty quickly.

Hi tandafan, and Welcome to the GameEx forums! Just for the sake of clarity, are you also experiencing the issue in which your MAME list doesn't list anything past CarnEvil? Or is it simply that your Neo Geo games are not being listed? If it's just the Neo Geo games that aren't listing please try turning off the Verify ROMs setting found on the MAME Settings screen in the Setup Wizard (and update your MAME list after doing so). GameEx runs mame.exe to verify ROMs by default and apparently some MAME builds report Neo-Geo games as being bad. If your issue is something else entirely, some combination of the above, or if the suggested fix doesn't help the matter, please post your applicable support files, and we can investigate the matter further. Some UbiSoft games sold on Steam require activation (and subsequently running) through Uplay. It's kind of dumb that they layer on DRM on top of DRM like that, but hey I guess it's their party. Keep an eye out on some of the standard digital games distribution channels (i.e. Humble Bundle, Green Man Gaming, GamersGate, Amazon, etc.), as you can often find sales on UbiSoft games that will run through Uplay. This has actually bitten me a couple of times when I thought I was getting a Steam code and it turned out to be a Uplay code. It pays to read the fine print! At any rate it doesn't so much matter now since I can launch 'em all from GameEx!

I can confirm similar behavior. I am signed into Origin but I only have one Origin game installed. I have a similar log entry to what Draco describes above. 18:56:11.3 9/2/2014: Checking if Origin enabled 18:56:11.3 9/2/2014: Cannot find any installed origin games I don't think I had a rollback message from the installer though. This is the part that's slightly concerning to me. It sounds like something went amiss with your installation of GameEx. If everything was set as read-only can we be sure that everything even installed correctly? I think I would attempt to reinstall GameEx over the top of your current installation using a fresh download of the installer. I don't often recommend that, but this is just strange. There was also a recent bug fix release which retained the 13.28 version number, so a fresh download will insure that you have the most recent release (and for that matter we just had another new release today) I have to agree with Draco as well. That log is just weird. There's two separate start ups of GameEx contained in the same log. It also still doesn't indicate that you ran Nestopia at all during that either of those particular runtimes. If you do reinstall and continue to have this issue would you mind posting a copy of your runitgame.bat after attempting to run Nestopia (in addition to fresh copies of your log and stuff)? Thanks man! Hopefully a reinstall sets this right.

Hi Avantasia and Welcome to the GameEx Forums! This is likely a problem related to your chosen theme. Theme elements can be moved around and will of course vary from one theme to the next. This problem can be compounded in that even if you are able to change the view, certain themes can and will react in unexpected ways (this can possibly come down to various theme creators intentions to limit the theme to a specific view and/or not testing diligently with other alternate views) The good news is that you can modify the elements of any theme using the Theme Editor. The drawback may be that using the Theme Editor might feel like more than you are willing to take on what with being somewhat new to GameEx. We have several talented theme artists should you hit a snag though, and as always remember to back up the original theme before making modifications.

Great work on this RIP-Felix! It's really great to see themes specifically tailored to vertical setups. It's also awesome that you applied your excellent work to one of the coolest themes currently available for GameEx. Good stuff all around!
