That usually happens when you display a theme at a resolution other than it was designed for - mostly when it's a different aspect ratio If that is the only problem with Stig's theme on your setup and you really want to use it you can load it into the theme editor and delete the scrollers - in the Edit menu at the top. Takes less than a minute EDIT - and about your MAME fullset, i believe there is a full set of Extras on the new ftp as mentioned by Tom here. The Extras set usually includes all media apart from videos (though you'll have to look as i haven't, so can't confirm) so i would say go for it and grab the full romset. It's much less hassle! Then you can just use GameEx's built in filters to get a nice clean list. EDIT2 - just checked and yup it's the full Extras set and some older videos! So you'll have to still use Emumovies for the newer vids but if that doesn't bother you you're set, for a full set

Awesome! The best guitar i ever had was a Charvel! Had to sell it on during tough times though I still regret it to this day. It was basically the Candy Red So Cal on this page. My band mate had a Washburn though and man i loved that thing! We would swap at gigs coz i could get up'n'down that neck like a ho on heat Can't find a pic of it but the paint job was awesome. I think you may aswell - i installed Gotham a few days ago but i did another system wipe just before (yup thats 2 in two weeks. I'm going for a personal record ) so can't confirm if it keeps your atwork and alterations etc. In all honesty i can't see any difference, at least not on the UI side. I suspect most of the new features are in the PVR section which i simply don't use. One change i have noticed is the movie scraping is majorly planked. I'm getting roughly a 60% hit rate where in Frodo with the same files i was getting a 90%+ Maybe that's one of the bug fixes, at least i hope so otherwise it's back to the Shire for me!

I fear it would be the same for PCSX2Bonus (or any such tools) I haven't tried Lunch yet but there is one thing Bonus does that makes GameEx integration soooooo easy - it can create standalone .exe's for each game! So in terms of GameEx setup it is as simple as having these exes in one folder, then it's just "[ROMPATH/ROMFILE]" how cool is that! You can specify which mem card and gamepad config too, so if like me you like teh shmups and the controls are all wrong and unconfigurable, you can configure the pad to your tastes for that one game only. I think i'll be messing with PS2 for a few days yet PS: The mega type was coz i woulda made a mini guide so as to not go through a couple mistakes i made

Hi estrika and welcome to the forums, I've never used the ambience feature but you can check that Auidio in preview videos=Yes (in Setup Wizard> Audio Settings), if not change it and see if it makes a difference. As for your submenu question there a couple of ways of doing it, but rather than bombard you with info i'll just drop this here. If it's not how you want to do things let us know and we'll give you the other options

Which is exactly why i personally haven't tackled Naomi yet (that sentence conjurs up a strange image in my head ). But as Riffman said, this is one of them hobbies when putting in the effort really pays off. In fact i'll bet once your list was sorted you spent at least a few minutes just scrolling through it with a sense of pride, didn't you dintcha!

Hi OverPower, i saw the vid The thing is, someone elses map file will only get you so far - unless you have the exact same roms named the exact same way as the person who created the original map file. One of the reasons i've never really bothered with Naomi is because there are multiple sets, and often they aren't even consistent within themselves That is why some of your games are displaying correctly and some are not. You will need to edit the map file yourself to include the roms that are not displaying correctly. They are pretty straight forward - just open it up in Notepad and have a look see Add your troublesome roms to the end of the file in the same manner as the rest and you should be good.

You gave me a brain twitch when mentioning your connection to your monitor! Perhaps MAME is switching resolutions when you launch MAME and your monitor doesn't like certain resolutions (some games run at seriously low settings). It would explain why it only happens to some games. To make sure Mame doesn't switch your desktop resolution, load your mame.ini and check the switchres setting = 0 as follows: # # FULL SCREEN OPTIONS # triplebuffer 1 switchres 0 full_screen_brightness 1.0 full_screen_contrast 1.0 full_screen_gamma 1.0

Just out of curiosity, is the PCIe mode on your motherboard set to Gen3? The 7770 is a Gen3 card and i've seen boards come set at Gen2 when they have a Gen2 onboard GPU (like your HD 4000). It could explain why it's kacking out randomly. It'll need Gen3 mode to work properly. I have no idea what your Bios is like but it'll be under something like "Peripherals" or "Advanced Bios Settings" something like that. It'll be there somewhere (unless you have a crappy locked down 3rd party PC manufacturer Bios )

I know right! I had a similar problem with Sine Mora - everytime i got to a new stage i was like "oooo look at the pretty.... oh crap i'm dead" You get used to it though. Ether Vapor is similar to this too with the screen transitions, which make me dizzy too. All adds to the fun though, and i'm all for any tricks that keep the genre fresh and attracting new players
