  1. Awesome & done.
  2. Yeah man let's hear em! Here's an obvious one but thought i'd put it out there - Sonic 1 Megadrive/Genesis Greenhill zones.
  3. There has been an update! Check first post, thanks
  4. My post above says (to me) i posted it at 4:26am: I didn't wake up till 7:45am lol it was posted @9:26am my time, and i can assure you it is set at GMT, which is my local time: So it is -5 for me which clearly is wrong. As GC said it started happening a few days ago but couldn't tell you exactly which day. Also you can see in the settings screenshot it says current time is 10:15am, and it was actually 15:15 when i took it.
  5. Database bumped *Updated OP, DB, RSS. Edit by GC: Updated LB
  6. 2nd ain't to be sniffed at *Updated OP, DB, RSS.
  7. Not nice is it?! Nah we like that you set the bars so high - it makes us all try harder than we normally would *Updated OP, DB, RSS.
  8. So, it seems a "Summer Runners" comp is what y'all want, which i also like the sound of! Would you agree? Anyone have any other ideas to add? We want to hear anything you guys have in mind! PS: To ease your minds this will be a tournament type competition totally separate from the official MAME comp, so you've no worries of it interfering in any way with all your hard work EDIT - to answer Den's previous post i would prefer to have multiples with an overall time limit of the whole comp, this is favorable to those that have commitments at certain times or may not be able to attend for some periods. /my2p
  9. LOL i was literally just going to make the same query! It says for me you posted that at 4:05am - well it was actually 9:05am so mine is showing -5 hours incredibly confusing.
  10. dammit! but in all fairness we get ours too thanks all the same brah!
  11. If SFIV can be played by anyone, then hell yes ANYTHING. Just lay it down
  12. Fellow Hi-Scorers, We need you! There has been a new cross-site competition announced and we'd like to get a team going to represent GameEx. The "Challenges" comp is still a go go, it will just be delayed for a little bit while we put some effort into proving that GameEx members have what it takes to compete on a worldwide scale. If you want to fight our corner and represent us then just leave your details in this thread. By the way, this comp is open to any GameEx member that wants to represent us. You don't have to meet certain criteria, you don't need to prove yourself in any way. You just gotta want to kick some ass for the sake of kicking some ass I dunno bout you guys, but i feel it's about time we got noticed Just reply here to show some support The following is for the "challenges comp" Hey folks! We've decided to go with the 'Summer Challenges' theme as it seems the right time to try something different. It will have an overall time limit and we'll most likely release all challenges (at least most of 'em) at once to give you the maximum amount of time for each. Also, it will be console only as we have plenty arcade goodness in the official comp. Real consoles and emulators will be fine for this. Don't worry about it for now though as we'll provide quick guides to setting up the most popular emu's so everyone can participate. No other specifics have been decided yet and so we would like you to put your own stamp on it! What challenges would you like to see? It doesn't necessarily have to be a timed run. It can be any thing you like as long as it can be accurately measured. If you know of any crazy mini-games for instance that feature a timer, a death count... a kill count, something less morbid, anything, let us 'av 'em! Anything else you can think of that might make the comp better, just lay it down - we'll consider all options. ~The HS Team Proposed Ideas Mario - Level 1-1 speedrun (link) TMNT - Dam Level speedrun (link) Credit based All-Clears' (link) SFIV Tourney (link) Sonic 1 Megadrive/Genesis - Greenhill Zones (link) Sonic 2 Megadrive/Genesis - all zones (link)
  13. Always wanted to play this! thanks for share man. Is this a time trial thing or a "install it now and it's on your account" type thingie? EDIT - doesn't work for us Euro's, well not for GB anyways
  14. Actually, you'd be surprised how many make the same assumption I guess it comes with acquiring a second hand system Likewise glad you're all good.
  15. Just to add to nullPointer's excellent advice, when you hit Tab to bring up the MAME menu, go into "Input (General)" then "Player 1 Controls", then configure your UP-DOWN-LEFT-RIGHT on your new stick. Once satisfied just hit Tab again and you should be golden.
  16. Yes in my tag the topmost was <l3img> i tried the <fg> combinations but they were no go. Adultery, apologies for being a pain in your butt (as always ) but could we by any chance have a definitive list, of not the just the layers but also the other elements (ie the text and snap/no image) as they are drawn? It really would help in the design process Also i am thinking about donating my tag to the cause when it goes live, so can i get your guys opinions on it? Spatter or no spatter on the screen? It looks ok i spose but it is a bit obstructive. BTW that big "X" is the no image screen, it's separate from the spatter Oh btw- loving the titles!
  17. helpman kicks off our latest GOTM: Snow Bros with an awesome 800K+ Can you beat him? > http://goo.gl/a8h5ct

  18. Fixed. I had people distracting me while i was updating the database. Apologies
  19. So 246k is the one to beat! For now *Updated OP, DB, RSS.
  20. *Updated OP, DB, RSS.
  21. 3rd place not bad! *Updated OP, DB, RSS.
  22. . I sent it to forensics and they confirmed *Updated OP, DB, RSS.
  23. NVM figured it. <l3img> seems to be the top most Ok so here is V2 and upload friendly: There is actually a Evo logo in the footprint but it's hard to see. It looked awesome @2000px there is also blood spatter on the screen but again hard to see. I shall find a game with 4:3 ratio and bright snap EDIT - @null you ninja'd me hehe yeh i just kept renaming the tags until my overlay popped. In my opinion it would make more sense to name them layer1-layer9, or l1-l9, number 1 being the bottom most but hey - i'm not the code king here PS: your tag is awesome btw!
  24. I've gotten a bit behind on this, not tried since first incarnation. Would one of you kind fellas enlighten me as how to determine a foreground? Would it just be: <fg>blahdie\blah.png</fg> or is there more to it?
