  1. Not many of us can in all honesty they are formidable opponents! YJ is in the same league too. But here @ GameEx we just encourage participation, we are a team who compete against eachother on a regular basis - push each other to step-up if you will You'll see that when it comes to comps, although relatively new to the global scene, each time we get better, and there are plenty of comps inbetween IGBY We rely on players liking our structure and sticking around - we do it differently to most other sites and most people enjoy it It doesn't matter if you're a retro gaming God, an old school wizard, someone looking to recapture their childhood, or a complete newcomer to retro gaming - there is something in our comp for everyone! No time limits, no prerequisites. Literally anyone can join us. Our soreboards last forever!! You have been making waves recently Mr garetmax, and i for one would like you to stick around. I have a feeling you could make your way up quite fast here! And who knows - members could be talking about Ex, MO, YJ and YOU in time
  2. I get what you're saying there man... and you're damn right! On behalf of Todd, can i get a whoop whoop!
  3. You can if you like but i think something deeper is going on here. Vids should not be "lagging" like that, even on a system with half your specs.
  4. No keep it on max perfomance. Did you upgrade only, or did you clean install W10?
  5. Oh ok, i see what you mean now. Since upgrading have you gone through the OS and chose things like max performance, max power, never spin down HDD's etc (or atleast after 1hr or something similar)? Also it might help to know whether you only upgraded, or you did a "true" clean install. I'm not saying any of this is relevant, but your specs are fine as far as i can see - you shouldn't be experiencing any kind of mishap.
  6. I have to agree with this -"Personal, or Localised Ratings" could really be a game changer, especially if a local DB could maximise on it, like ratings, ratings by system, genre, platform etc.
  7. Hi cnells! Try this: Find [advkeyboard]in your GameEx.ini. Change (directly below): Forward=60Rewind=61TO: Forward=15Rewind=15then, File> Save or CTRL+S. Reboot GeameEx.
  8. Bravo man - i've spawned a daemon I like this! *Updated OP DB RSS.
  9. Pretty much my thoughts exactly.
  10. I was trying to provoke a thought process with my response To trigger a chain reaction of not "fix it", but "how can I fix it". People don't think for themselves anymore and want instant satisfaction. You ain't gonna get it in this game! Someone needs to tell 'em.
  11. I have to say this, but a GameEx backup will only work properly IF you replace everything in the exact same place that it was when you made the backup. This includes GameEx paths, command lines, Emu paths, rom paths - everything! If you only ever use the root drive, then you will have to mimic your previous system, exactly. If you use a separate partition for your roms/media then you will need to make sure that AFTER you reinstall your OS that the same partition has the same drive letter. If not you will need to force it to. For instance: let's say that when you made the backup, all your roms were on a drive named X: Then, you reinstall your OS and it names X: as E: GameEx is looking for X: because you are using a backup, but there is no X:! Only E:. For GameEx to know what the hell you are talking about, you need to change E: to X: Because that is what it is looking for! A lot of these "backup" problems derive from the same fundemental flaw You can use a GameEx backup quite easily, but only if you are organized enough in the first place =) In all honesty i would advise starting again. You'll grasp many more things the second time around. How d'you think we know what we're doing?
  12. Wait was this to do with the Cave? What happened? Steam n stuff and such arrrgh what? Cave on Steam? Don't tease meh!!
  13. Damn! HA! OK ok - you mean business now, so do I! This ain't over man Nice score! *Updated OP, DB, RSS.
  14. Yeah, stop holding out! If you can get past 13K you are doing better than me easily! If you are not aware, each score you submit count's towards your overall position. What this means is you can easily overtake an "elite" scorer, just by playing more than them! It's true! Our system is point-based, not position based. So even if you feel you are only average at games, you can still beat our higher gamers simply by participating in as many games as you can Try it! The more games you play the higer rank you will gain. It really is that easy
  15. Everyone knows this one. From your fave movie OST, to commercial ads to radio faves, i guarantee most of you have aconnection to this: Your head will collapse, But there's nothing in it. And you'll ask yourself, Animals were hiding behind the rocks, Except the little fish, But they told me...

  17. Hi Leon, Can you confirm for us where your Steam Library is located? IE is it on drive C:\Program Files\Steam, or on another drive, etc?
  18. I've been playing around with this - Xpadder itself, not your plugin (Adultery) and have noticed that since W10 it will not register properly! Each time you run it, it will act as if it is the first time run I'm more than convinced this will have an impact on your plugin! The best solution i have so far is to change the compatibility: Right-Click on Xpadder.exe Choose Properties. Select the Compatibility Tab. In this tab find Compatibility Mode. Put a check/tick in 'Run this program in compatibility mode for:' Choose Windows 7. Press 'Apply' in bottom right. Xpadder should now act as normal. Which should in turn make Adultery's plugin work as it should As you are using W10 Evilforces, i am sure this will resolve your issue
  19. You may have to reconfigure GameBase itself, coz you'd need to filter all them roms before you pass them through GX. GameEx uses the GameBase DB's after you have already configured them. So you'll need to configure/use filters of the gamebse first, before handing it over to GameEx. The fact that you mention 20k+ entries tells me that you need to utilise the GameBase filters first of all, to get your entries down to a reasonable level. Once you have done this, then i have confidence that GameEx can take over =)
  20. Does it matter really - coz you know we all chasing you three (including YJ)! You three between you destroy us no doubt, but it only makes us want to beat you more I predict that in time, some of us here will scare you guys - but only in the end to push you guys even further! I love seeing what you guys are capable of and want MORE!
  21. Now THAT's what i'm talkin bout! Way to bump an oldie there MO respect, and grats! Mo' MO!
  22. This is all correct. Do what nullpointer and tthurman say. The main thing if you are trying to use a backup is paths. You must replicate these exactly if using a backup install. So, for instance, your MAME roms were located at: C:\MAME\roms, then you must put these roms in the exact same place for your backup to work properly. Likewise if your SNES emu was in C:\SNES\snes9x then you need to make sure it is in that same place after reinstalling. Any deviations from this will result in problems. Because of this I personally would advise starting again - you get better at organizing and knowing where things are over time, and also you will understand, that paths don't rule you - you rule the paths
  23. Hell yes!!! Thas what i'm takin bout! Any you guys remember Red Dead? I bet yo did! Crunch it...
  24. I was just about to explain... If you want to get rid of modules, your best bet is to get rid offscreen. They will allways be there but you can remedy this too. Talk to me
  25. Agreed! If your screen is bigger then just use X=3,000 and Y=2,000 to be safe. You must know what we are getting at by now.
