  1. I dunno, I use Xpadder and my plugin for my 360 pads. My problem was since they're wireless they don't run after a certain amount of time. I usually leave one plugged in, but that just keeps it working properly for me on all four controllers.
  2. @CG: Where did he pick up the 100? Not stomping on a goomba to get over the hole? That was a near flawless run. :-)
  3. Wow. Just awesome!
  4. Like I said you can just do a global mame setting, no need to do it for every single game. Sometimes you have to, that's just how it is. This hobby isn't for the lazy... Your time will be spent doing tedious things. That's the nature of the best unfortunately. :-)
  5. You can set inputs for global or per game. What does your mapping have to do with other things? This is just for mame, so what's the difference? Maybe I'm not understanding you, but having a config is the same as just doing it via the tab menu.
  6. Just press TAB in any game and edit the input settings.
  7. Won't be for long. :-) Sorry about that, I'll fix it today.
  8. PS: mingw only needs to be downloaded when they update the toolchain, so you won't need to download this every time you build mame.
  9. Give it a few and try again. I get this error too sometimes.
  10. So I git this straight... After the table run event is triggered it is available, and I can't access it until the exit event is triggered. Right? :-)
  11. Mame Compiler 64 is exactly that, an automated building app.
  12. You would enter that in cmd.exe ... Do you not know how to run things from command line? :-)
  13. Since the MAME team is dead set against that, no. Why not just Google Mame Compiler 64? You don't even need to know much of anything to make that work.
  14. Are you using a map file? Gotta see that GameEx.ini here to really see what's happening behind the scenes.
  15. Yes that's right. The easiest way is to press the DELETE key with the title highlighted. The alternative is to delete the files in GAMEEX>DATA that have the word cache in the file name. GameEx will rebuild these game lists the next time you fire it up. Unless of course you're using a MAP file. In which case you also need to remove the entries from there. And finally, just to be sure we're on the same page, the ROM files can't be in the folder you're "removing" them from, or where GameEx looks for the games. If you don't want to delete or move anything, roll that back to suggestion #1.
  16. That's what I mean... Just because Tom uses a variable doesn't mean he'll also pass it to the plugin system. I have to ask Tom for the data so it can be used in the plugin you're creating. Since he's already using it as you mentioned, I'm sure it won't be a big deal to get it added in. But again. it's ultimately up to him. If he does, I'll of course add the variable to the template's structure. Side note: I really like the idea. I've been thinking of making a plugin for GameEx that uses an online DB to save some scores for MAME, the same way this will post them to your site, and to possibly create some achievements also. It's quite ambitious, but it has def crossed my mind. I hope that can become reality for your project, it's an awesome idea! I've already been doing some stuff on the side (like the game tag generator) to test some theories and DB queries, but having an existing system to patch into is really quite cool. Godspeed, my friend!
  17. Oh okay I got ya, I was thinking game file name. I forget about ROMs that PinMame uses but I know exactly what you mean. I will bring this up with the big guy, he's got an update coming, perhaps there's a way this can be included. Is there a way to get that info from vPinMame, kind of like the way a MAME listxml switch works?
  18. Table file is the ROM mame I think, if you don't get it first I'll get back to ya on that.
  19. Doesn't it already support this? I'll have to look at the template hold on.
  20. You clearly haven't met my kids. :-)
  21. I don't think that's gonna help, just how to fix that error. You should still try it first, just to rule it out.
  22. Did you try this? http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-US;2545227
  23. Shouldn't be, I'll check it after dinner.
  24. Nope, I have kids so you have to add 20. It's in the bylaws!
  25. I'm so out of my league with you young bucks. :-)
