  1. Why not just use the Download Service Utility?
  2. I guess I could be wrong but I don't see what difference the plugin not being there has on your mame install. As mentioned before it has nothing to do with integrated mame. It doesn't try to run for mame at all unless you tell it to in the config. Did you try to run the plugin in debug mode? And after you do can you post the log for the plugin? It's in GameEx > Plugins > DT Mount. If you're not sure whether to use an scsi switch or not, is it safe to assume you're not sure which type of drive you installed? Did your drive letter change when you reinstalled dtools? If you mount a game manually does SSF pick it up? Does SSF even work with an scsi drive? I'm going to update my Dtools this weekend, maybe the command line changed or something.
  3. I understand, my plugin checks both 32-bit and 64-bit locations for dtlite.exe by default but I'll look at it, you may just need to update where you set it to look. I don't set anything at all in the plugin settings to use it, I enable the plugin and use headless mode which is just a switch in the emu command line. You can delete the settings.xml and just add [dtloader] to the emulator's command line (or [dtloader-scsi] if its a SCSI drive) to use it that way.I wasn't saying Xpadder plugin had anything to do with it, just that I haven't been told plugins don't work in Lite mode.
  4. MAME is completely untouched by DT Loader.dll (there's no reason to add a switch for it either) so I kinda doubt it's stopping your integrated MAME from working. I'm more willing to bet it's a Daemon Tools issue if its anything, especially since theres no indication in your log that DT Loader.dll even attempted to mount anything at all. Actually to the contrary, it initialized fine, which means it passed a series of file checks and said 'everything is cool here'. Not to mention that I use it, I have a recent version of DT (which installed the drive, it doesn't create one 'on the fly' as you say), and my MAME games are working fine. And lastly, lots of people use both Xpadder and Virtual Drive Loader plugins and I haven't heard one report besides this one. No hard feelings, I just think you're barking up the wrong tree is all. (shrugs)
  5. It's a worthy investment no doubt! I upgraded my cab to 64-bit Windows just for Dolphin and the bar. Best $30 I've spent in a long time.
  6. Well holy guacamole!!! Happy birthday to one of the cornerstones that holds this community together!!! Steam game forthcoming!
  7. Not me, I don't like to share the controller.
  8. You ain't kidding. I decided to go with a fresh start not too long ago and I didn't realize how far I went to make all my games run. I doubt I'll ever get back to where I was!
  9. I didn't realize there was a silent switch, but I still feel it's an awful lot of work to get it going offline. But hey, that's my opinion and I keep my cab online all the time... Especially since my roms are on a server.
  10. 1. Steam isn't really meant to be used offline, it needs to verify DRM and save your game on the cloud. That's why it persistently asks. Offline Mode in Steam is just not a good alternative, sorry. But that's DRM driven services for ya... 2. Yes GameEx needs the Steam client to run Steam. It only plugs in to your Steam, it does not replace it (it really is more of a bypass or maybe automation of the GUI. That's up for argument... I still prefer playing through Steam but love the integration with my cabinet too. There are plusses and minuses for both options). 3. You will see the desktop every time you play unless you set Steam to logon with Windows and stop having GameEx log in and out for you each time you play a Steam game. There are some AutoIT scripts to automate the clicking for some gamed but you probably won't be able to escape dialog forms altogether, especially with Pinball Arcade which IIRC asks you if you want to launch the game or the configuration. I'll leave the rest of your inquiries for Dazz since he's already helping ya.
  11. I'm pretty sure I know what's going on here... When I added in the ability to use ROMs in zip/7zip/etc I forgot to add an exception for MAME, Steam, and some others. This will only affect integrated MAME, integrated Daphne, Steam, UPlay, GameEx Arcade, and Origin. Give me a sec and I'll fix it. EDIT: Try this one, which should fix it. I also found a bug where I forgot to drop the ROM File extension.
  12. @Dazzle: Please post your logs.
  13. More information about what's been updated for anyone looking can be found here: http://www.gameex.info/forums/index.php?/topic/15967-[NEWS]-GameEx-14.04
  14. This includes the latest versions of Xpadder, QuickLaunch, and Virtual Drive Loader. I will update the release threads soon with what was updated. This also brings Game Tagger out of beta, which is a very customizable game tag for all users with GameEx Online access. I will be adding a release thread and page in the downloads section for this new plugin soon. There is more information on the Game Tagger site here: http://tags.hfc-essentials.com Also included for the first time is the newly revamped Function Logger plugin, which is a tool that identifies what information is available through the plugin system as well as what's in your emulator settings. Sorry for not having updated the release threads yet, I have been pretty busy at work and spent my weekend drinking matgaritas in the 60° weather.
  15. It depends on what you're doing. If you're downloading/uploading something or running something that will take a while, threading is good. If you're running a batch file or something simple, you probably won't notice a difference. It's obviously more complex than that though. http://visualbasic.about.com/od/usingvbnet/a/threadingintro.htm
  16. More or less. The difference being that those don't launch on their own thread, which is like a 'background process' kinda.
  17. Hi. You need to put lame.exe in the same folder ConvertIT is installed in.
  18. @MisterB: I'm still working on this. There was/is a lot more to do than I realized. @stigz: Wait for process waits for the process to complete whatever it's doing before continuing on. Launch on a thread builds the process and launches it at the same time and doesn't wait for it to do anything or finish.
  19. So, does changing the wiimote mode not work for you sbuc? I use an xbox 360 controller mainly but have a Dolphin Bar also (absolutely love it!!) and I thought pressing minus and right on the wiimote changes to game controller (Direct Input) mode? It's LED 3 I think?
  20. Probably just stick to stripping them. In the instance of this particular plugin they do more harm than good considering it's for cmdline.
  21. Now the question is do I strip them out or convert them to html? Probably best to convert them instead.
  22. Yeah that shouldn't be an issue. Hold on a few.
  23. I would love to use that T2 cab for a mame build!!! A broken one of course...
