  1. Great work as always! Thanks!
  2. I had an Intellevision and a TRS-80 back in the day. And some Sears multi-game thing before that (which I was entertained by for all of two days). Hmm, I guess I suck because we were the motors when we built stuff... I had a bajillion legos. That was my thing. And the cats are climbing the curtains to get to my crack so they can pee on the carpet. (I think that covers everything!)
  3. I posted mine earlier but I hand named the roms for Vectrex so it likely isn't much help. However the changes are easy to make... does the artwork follow the same naming convention? If you want to try editing mine, just copy mine from before, paste it in notepad, save it as vectrex.lay and change the rom/artwork names where its needed.
  4. As was mentioned earlier, the remove duplicates option was added recently. Try and turn it from auto to off and turn verify roms off. That should do the trick.
  5. Many roms undergo changes from build to build. Did you scan your rom set with clrmamepro or a similar hash checker, or did you just add a few new roms and update your mame build? Or you didn't update your mame build at all? Also you can try turning verify roms off within gameex. Maybe turn off remove duplicates too. Both are in the gameex advanced config.
  6. A ninja on crack? How can you be sneaky when you're all itchy and twitchy?
  7. Are you using the zoomer or just running the emu in a window? If you use the zoomer you'll need to set up an advanced config to wait for the emulator to close instead of the zoomer.
  8. I think your problem is that ZiNc doesn't work using OpenGL as a renderer in GameEx.. at least that's been myy experience. You'll need to use D3D instead. Give that a try and see if she flies straight.
  9. I ditched Windows Firewall even to test out... I also disabled Avast! to make sure that wasn't a problem. I just don't know what else to do, so I guess I'll stick to a no-online-gaming cabinet for a while.
  10. What could be in there that the EXE is coded for but can't find? If I understand anything about coding, a MAV violation only happens when your porgram calls for something that isn't there. If that were the case, everyone would be having the same problem. I would worry more if this was happening to other proggys as well... It's gotta have something to do with the inability to write the config file... Or my chipset... Damn, I don't want to have to reinstall my OS and start GameEx over yet again...
  11. I wonder if I can launch a game through the command line even using this exe? Hmm... .:EDIT:. I can't even run games from it. I get a memory access violation. WTF...
  12. It's XP... I have a port open and working on uTorrent too so I don't see why I can't get this one to open. I have to be doing something wrong here... It's not like I'm a networking noob, but this is just frustrating. I'll try one more thing quick before I say screw it entirely. If Tom has uPNP working (which he does), even without the firewall exception it should be working fine. Damn!!! uPNP on in router, port forwarded... I'm running out of things to try.
  13. Ahh hell... I give up. I just can't get this to work. Maybe I should turn off uTorrent...
  14. My ports are open and listening. My router shows the port as open too. I ping'd it and evenchecked it on a port checking web site. All is well as far as that goes. I also have the latest version. I fear that this has something to do with my inability to generate a config file. Do our command line options need to be the same? I see mine runs the same switches as my MAME build does.
  15. The video is great! Funny thing is the WWF music ic too loud to hear what he's tweaking to make it run. Is this step needed for a bunch of games or just the occasional crazy one? .:EDIT:. Ahh, so I hooked onto someone, may cab asked me if we would like to play a game, the CP came up, I waited, then the host disappeared and the list said "No Games Found". So... Who's end is the problem on? Anyone know? Also, if I hook up to someone, and it just falls back to the game list with that game removed, does that mean the host didn't accept my invite? Is this normal GameEx behaviour?
  16. OK nice to see all this... I'll try and run it without the mame.ini and see if I have any more luck with it. So far I've only seen Draco once and bobross once... maybe more people will start using it. What would be rad is if we were sending a notification popup to users that a game has been located/started that makes a sound if the cab is in attract mode. I bought a new switch to wire the game room and this would be a great way to utilize it!
  17. You can load cue files in pSX. I just rename the cue files and set that as my ROM filter. Sending the usual command line ( psx.exe "[ROMPath]/[ROMfile]" ) should work just fine as pSX supports bin/cue naturally. Just remember you can change the name of the cue file but you need the bin file to be named as it was when you ripped it. Else you can make a MAP file like I do for my SEGA CD bin/cue files (which involves a little more effort but looks quite nice in the list). Or you can compress your bin/cue files into pSX compatable files by using the GUI. It actually saves a good deal of space this way if you decide to go that route.
  18. I wouldn't worry about that unless you're planning to link up some roms! Ask away. As always our highly trained staff is standing by to answer all your questions in a professional and concise manner! We also have an enormous community ready to assist you whenever you need assistance. And over here, we have Flash and Tempest. *Sorry! Just couldn't help myself! Hahaha!*
  19. The only hassle is that EmuMovies download utility can't update. It has a very specific folder layout. It wouldn't be an issue for people otherwise.
  20. Agreed. That's exactly what I've been doing also. I actually keep all the artwork from EmuMovies seperate and just copy/paste it over but it's kinda a pain in the butt. I don't mind waiting though since that just works (vids and snaps in one folder).
  21. He thought they were giving away free pints and came running! Heh heh heh!
  22. I just wish I could get it to work. I can't seem to make it create my config file...
  23. I would definitely use it. I can't count how many people only wanna play Mario games when they come over!
  24. If you make seperate emulators for each game and group them you could do it, but that seems a bit tedious to me. Possible, yes.
  25. I'll try that. Would that also be why my TG16 list doesn't seem to be removing the bracketed text too or is that a seperate issue?
