I'm all for your method of thinking. I figure it's my cab and I'll put whatever the hell I want on it. Screw the haters that talk smack because (insert whiny voice here) "your cab is based on a console game instead of a MAME game" or "you wasted the cpanel space with a 2nd monitor and use a joystick? WTF?" I personally love my cab.

Yeah I would try that first. If you want to see your display names you can also run mame.exe -verbose but unless you changed them yourself it's typically \.\\DISPLAY1 and \.\\DISPLAY2 In games that I run two screens and want to flip the images (like PunchOut), I add this to the command line: -numscreens 2 -screen0 \.\\DISPLAY.1 -screen1 \.\\DISPLAY2 If you output to \.\\DISPLAY0 my guess is that MAME can't find/initialize that display.

Um... shouldn't that be DISPLAY1 & DISPLAY2? Windows monitor enumeration typically starts at 1 not 0. Is this what happens when you assign specific monitors in the tab menu?

What did you need me to do Circo? Just general GameEx in action stuff? I'm kinda slow so I'm not sure I follow you on what you're doing exactly. Wait I think I get it. You're doing new system intro bids for front ends and you want to show off what GameEx can do and show what it can look like should you decide its right for you? Like FE demos like the ones on your home page? I think its cool you're doing an install from scratch. Sometimes I forget about those who start from ground zero and you can let us know how it went for ya... Tips along the way, things that need work/attention, etc.

You can try runitgame.bat after MAME fails and see what it says.

You probably need to email Tom and get an updated key. [email protected] SUBJECT: GameEx updated key <- be sure you include this so you don't get stuck in the spam filter.

Thanks guys! I still want to do some work on the new view, but I haven't really been motivated to work on it. Anyone know why my MAME list reverts to bak.png instead of MAMEBak.png? Does this happen to everyone or do I just have a naming issue somewhere?

Had to fix up stats.png. It was hard to see the black text over the BG I made. Hopefully this works better for ya.

A quick update to the theme: Updated the BAK file... ..a new bak for StartImageMenuBak... ...and foreground... ...a STATS screen for displaying Hi-Scores and whatnot (this needs to be in the GameEx/Media folder and will probably be overwritten every time you update)... ...and a final version of AutoUpdate1. Enjoy!

Closest you can get to that is to go into favorites and select "By System".
