Actually I'd probably have it move the file to an "unprocessed" folder and spit out the errors in a log.

I'm pretty pumped about this feature since we're getting to the point where you don't need to know anything to your customized settings up and running (other than the ROM name which is next on my improvements list) Sooo.... I don't suppose I can get anyone to bug test the new BETA with the MAME command line switch imports for me before I move on to the game search function? Hmmmmm? Pretty please? My wife gave me my xmas present today so I'll be spending a bit less time in development and a bit more time on the 3DS in the next few days and I'd be happy knowing this feature is ready for public release before I crack out on Super Mario 3D Land. I would really appreciate it!

It's because of the original hardware. The top screen was set to be the stats screen and the bottom screen was set to be the game play. To adjust this I actually had to press the TAB key to bring up the main menu, then select DISPLAY, and switch the screens that were displayed so that Screen 0 is the hardware's Screen 1 and Screen 1 is screen 0. I had to do this for my PC10 games too unfortunately. I wonder if that can be done in the command line? I had mine set up a long time ago so I never had the option of making the adjustment.

Honestly I could just have you select a bounding box and do a crop based on the dimensions of the box and do a batch crop if you'd be willing to pull out the ones that need to be cropped... No need for all the extra shazam when I could do most of what you described in the Paint class.

It'll serve the same basic function of manipulating the command line. All the extra crap I'm doing now is just fluff. Of course in the case of emulators, it's up to you to make the stuff work. I obviously can't use every emulator available, so I can't get all crazy with the extras the same as I can with MAME. I'm glad you dig it though, thanks for the kind words. EDIT: Shoot I just realized the date is wrong... I was wondering what the hell you were talking about Null! LOL! I must have picked up an extra day somewhere. Well this release will be out tomorrow then. Don't use it or your rig will explode! LOL!

Ahh my life is my kids and my job. I have loads of free time these days since I quit smoking a couple weeks ago. What happens if you pause the playlist on the media bar? I think it just does a fade, plays the emu, and resumes playing in the menu unless you have it set to start the juke when GameEx starts.

Yes there is, but soon you won't need it. I'm actually adding a pull-down list with a description of each plugin to the next beta. In the mean time you can find Windows command lines for MAME here, but it's basically just the Windows.txt in the MAME DOCS folder.

Ohh good catch Celly! I remember the first time I heard William Orbit. It was on BBC 1's Essential Mix. Great two hours there! I haven't listened to that show in ages... I always loved Pete Tong's guest list. There was a smashing DJ Dan mix I can remember every beat from.

Honestly the way it hooks into GameEx and its functions is through the plugin system. I don't think you'd be able to make changes to anything while GameEx is actually running since it loads the plugin into memory when you start it up. One of the great features of this is that it grabs whatever GameEx processes and changes it on the fly. If I were to load it outside of GameEx I think I would have to initiate MAME through the app and you would have to change your MAME EXE to this... I'm really not sure if that'll work or not. Half the fun is seizing the plugin system though... There's a lot of interesting stuff going on in there. A lot is possible! I could probably make a standalone quick editor for external programs to edit the ini though... /me ponders
