  1. Thanks for sharing that clip! It does look good on your system and I am glad I was able to keep as close to the origin as possible as there did not seem to be much of a discernable transition from Media Center to GameEx.
  2. I have yet to explore GameBase64, but need to ask if you have it running yet outside of GameEx.
  3. I noticed some differences between the files you provided and likely this is a result of you trying to diagnose your problems with the crashes. In the first you were running BlueEx 800 x 600 theme, then Default-Default in the second. While I see no problem there, I did notice that in the first your "Display is running at: 1024x768 32bit color, 75hz" while in the second "Display is running at: 1024x768 32bit color, 85hz". Are you tinkering with your video adapter settings as well? Keep in mind that it is easier for us to help diagnose the issue if you keep the settings consistant with where you encountered the problem and make changes only as suggested to themes, screen res, etc. Much easier to shoot a stationary target!
  4. Make sure you have the latest nVidia drivers installed for your car. Also, you may want to try with Aero off and see if you have any better luck with it. My guess is that there is something not right with the screen res settingws in the emulator - might want to go over those as well.
  5. Based upon the bad data error, looks like it icould possibly be a user rights (permissions) issue with a file or folder, but don't hold me to that. Let's try deleting from the gameex\data folder all files with cache in the filename or file extension. Also, download version 1.55 and install it over your existing GameEx install. You may want to backup your GameEx install first.
  6. Running MAMEUI64 0.141 with u1 compiled. No problems with any of my roms for those games.
  7. Try clearing your cached files (any file with cache in the file name or file extension in the \gameex\data folder) and see if that clears things up for you.
  8. Try going here first - this is the MAMEDev site and has the lists of changes for each build (without having to download each build) .
  9. SM - I had a similar problem after a recent update - have you deleted your cached files (files with cache in the file name or extension) under the \gameex\data path? Try this and see if that improves your performance. If not, please post a copy of your log file imediately after the crash and gameex.ini file so we can have a look at it.
  10. Thanks - one thing you may want to try is clearing out your cached files - Under \GameEx\DATA path, delete any file with cache in the file name r file extension (don't worry, these files rebuild after you restart GameEx and start using the various emulators and other options).
  11. Each build has a list (usually pretty long) of changes inclusive of those games that now work and those no longer. I am not aware of a comprehensive source that gives a list of builds and which games work and no longer work with that build. Would be a nice to have, though.
  12. Replicate the problem and then immediately grab a copy of the log file and send it up here again.
  13. No - it's not a daft question but is one that has been asked with some frequency. You can run multiple Mame versions but you will have to setup the them up as separate emulators (each will have it's own install folder and each will have to be assigned a separate emulator in Advanced Config - but you can share the same asset (Snaps, Video for example) and ROM paths so you are not doubling up on those. You would probably want to retain the ini paths, ctrlpnl, etc. that are specific for that MAME build. Anyone else have a similar setup to share?
  14. Glad you got it working and you're welcome!
  15. That may require tweaking both your advanced config in addition to using the Custom Menus option. You should be able to setup the Custom Menus to display those emulators any way you wish. Can you provide me with a screen image of what you have done thus far (both the actual Gameex screen and a screen image of the Custom Menu layout menu)?
  16. Might need to send that to Adultery or one of the other mods (Elite Members do not have the ability to make changes to posts, only Moderators - kinda like Royalty in most countries nowadays - all the pomp, no circumstance. You still should bow or courtsey, but you won't lose your head if you don't! )
  17. Can you please post a log and a copy of your gameex.ini file (open it in Notepad and save as a txt file before uploading)?
  18. Griggs619 - It may be helpful to post your Windows version under most circumstances, however, if you have the Program Files (x86) you have Vista or 7 64-bit installed. All - To be honest, it shouldn't matter whether it is in the Program Files or Program Files (x86) so long as the program path is correct. The (x86) is just so that Wisat/7 64-bit will segregate the 32-bit programs installed.

    Custom lists

Custom Lists or Custom Menus? I believe you can have Favorites with either.
  20. Better yet, what was the problem and what did you do to resolve it? Might be one other person using emulating Action Max besides you with the same problem!
  21. NullPointer - thanks for providing that useful feedback! Ranzo - again, I applaud you regarding your contribution as it is a big help to most new to the scene. If you would, please, I think that the name should be changed to MAMEUIFX instead of MAME, since this a derivative unofficial build based on the original MAME/MAMEUI source code. Regards, Mike
  22. Yours is - I just found HK's MAMEUI Compiler to be easier for me since I have been using Mameui since it was Mame32 and I am most familiar with it.
  23. I'm sure Tom Arnold had a chuckle at that, too. Oh, the Darth Vader commercial was good.
  24. Lemme see, I am working on what, my 6th theme? Have recompiled MAME 3 times in the last 2 months and CLRMamepro'd the bunch as many times.I have yet to finish troubleshooting some of my missing .dll files issues wwith Future Pinball, then, to add insult to injury, just moved all of my assets and ROMs to another drive - meaning I have to re-path my emus to the new drive. Will I EVER get things finished to my liking and enjoy what I have? My wife says I better REAL soon or she is gonna trade me in on a REAL husband and not an emulated one!
