  1. Please provide copies of your GameEx logs from both PCs so that we can better help you get to the bottom of the issue. Thanks!
  2. You need to confirm that you have the correct paths mapped in GameEx.
  3. Happy New Year!
  4. But it was a save, none-the-less!
  5. Well, you are correct, sir. Consider it an enhancement request?
  6. As Frequency noted, 7z and zip file formats are supported. Please extract the files and then recompress them using one of these supported formats and let us know if this resolves the issue.
  7. It is also possible to import/convert your favorite MaLa theme using GameEx's theme editor.
  8. Well, I did find a basic game launcher for Windows that can be launched from GameEx with very little memory footprint. The author's site can be found here called Game Launcher. I was able to launch most of the games I have downloaded from Steam with the obvious exception of those that require launching through the Steam launcher. Game Launcher (not to be confused with the emulator launcher/frontend by the same name) will load, allow you to select the game and will also allow you to load box art files. It will display them to the right and will also display the box art from the last 8 games played above the installed games list. When you select a game, it launches and Game Launcher will then unload from memory. When you exit the game, you will then go back to GameEx.
  9. Andre, Can you provide a copy of your gameex log file?
  10. Agreed. Will see if I can drum up some alternatives.
  11. I know that Tom had made some mention about it, but do not recall a specific time line as there have been quite a few fixes and enhancements that have required priority. You may want to refer to this post as this may be of help to you.
  12. Netbook or Notebook or Mini Notebook - who cares? The distinctions are blurring between all of them. I could build a desktop using SSM, but it wouldn't make it any more a netbook than standing in a garage makes you a car. But back to the point, 250 GB is plenty big enough to put much of what you could want but depending on what you load, it will fill up quickly.
  13. Kinda beefy for a netbook - could probably work pretty well. Question for ya, what will you use as a controller? Since it has a few USB ports, you may be able to get away with something not requiring a lot of power, such as a Logitech dual action gamepad. 250GB will not be much space for 3-D cabs, video snaps, manuals, etc. Perhaps a list-only view with some of the HTPC extras disabled.
  14. You may be able to, however, keep in mind that they integrate the GPU with the mobo and share RAM accordingly. Might be able to pull it off with the older emus but have some speed issues with the newer platforms.
  15. How does it feel? Happy Birthday!
  16. I've ordered a pair of the Netgear adapters to give a go. My only major concern is that you cannot put a surge supressor between the adapter and outlet (at least as far as I am aware). Living in the Lightning Capital of the World (Florida) is a bit of concern.
  17. Well, I am venturing into the ethernet over powerline arena for use with my Xbox 360. Has anyone tried this as of yet? I was consering wireless but the speeds seem to be much better and being able to take to any room in the house without sacrificing throughput due to signal loss seems more viable (and, comparable in price to buying a wireless adapter). I know this is not an Xbox 360 forum, but was thinking this may be a viable option for those who have trouble getting a reliable wireless signal to their cab or HTPC.
  18. Please post. You may want to zip them as the .ini file may reject due to the file type.
  19. As promised - I was not able to get it to bring over the side art. Even "bombed" the file and could not export it. Otherwise, much less fuss than previous cabs. I thnk the problem lies within the x-porters themselves as I got pretty much the same results with zbyls and the others (although zbyl's still yields the best results IMHO). When you have a chance you may want to check it out and see if I am missing a step in my process or if you get the same results. airwolf.zip
  20. Ben - I will handle it. WIll probably be after the Holiday (tomorrow) before I have a chance to tinker and send back up. Merry Christmas!
  21. MERRY CHRISTMAS! To Tom and all of my GameEx friends! Thanks for the wonderful forums and support for a the best emu and HTPC frontend! May your holidays be filled with safety, love, and friendship! Mike aka "Draco1962"
  22. Again, the awesomeness continues.. just in time for Christmas! Thanks, Tom! Now if Santa would just give me an across emu's game play list capability ... OK, I am very thankful but gotta put in the shameless bump for a feature request! It just wouldn't be the me that everyone has come to know and love, eh?
  23. Let me know how you do with the recompile. Also, pretty tight cab! Share some more pics!
  24. You should resize the new image to match the old. You may wish to search for one that is actually the same size as the picture or what you are replacing will appear distorted if not to the same proportions (800x600, 1024x768, etc).
  25. The problem is not a GameEx problem but a Windows problem. Windows defaults the mouse cursor location to the active (primary) monitor. You may want to look at Multi-Monitor Mouse (M3) which is a freeware app that should allow you to setup your mouse behaviors and a default monitor for the mouse cursor location.
