  1. I've ordered a pair of the Netgear adapters to give a go. My only major concern is that you cannot put a surge supressor between the adapter and outlet (at least as far as I am aware). Living in the Lightning Capital of the World (Florida) is a bit of concern.
  2. Well, I am venturing into the ethernet over powerline arena for use with my Xbox 360. Has anyone tried this as of yet? I was consering wireless but the speeds seem to be much better and being able to take to any room in the house without sacrificing throughput due to signal loss seems more viable (and, comparable in price to buying a wireless adapter). I know this is not an Xbox 360 forum, but was thinking this may be a viable option for those who have trouble getting a reliable wireless signal to their cab or HTPC.
  3. Please post. You may want to zip them as the .ini file may reject due to the file type.
  4. As promised - I was not able to get it to bring over the side art. Even "bombed" the file and could not export it. Otherwise, much less fuss than previous cabs. I thnk the problem lies within the x-porters themselves as I got pretty much the same results with zbyls and the others (although zbyl's still yields the best results IMHO). When you have a chance you may want to check it out and see if I am missing a step in my process or if you get the same results. airwolf.zip
  5. Ben - I will handle it. WIll probably be after the Holiday (tomorrow) before I have a chance to tinker and send back up. Merry Christmas!
  6. MERRY CHRISTMAS! To Tom and all of my GameEx friends! Thanks for the wonderful forums and support for a the best emu and HTPC frontend! May your holidays be filled with safety, love, and friendship! Mike aka "Draco1962"
  7. Again, the awesomeness continues.. just in time for Christmas! Thanks, Tom! Now if Santa would just give me an across emu's game play list capability ... OK, I am very thankful but gotta put in the shameless bump for a feature request! It just wouldn't be the me that everyone has come to know and love, eh?
  8. Let me know how you do with the recompile. Also, pretty tight cab! Share some more pics!
  9. You should resize the new image to match the old. You may wish to search for one that is actually the same size as the picture or what you are replacing will appear distorted if not to the same proportions (800x600, 1024x768, etc).
  10. The problem is not a GameEx problem but a Windows problem. Windows defaults the mouse cursor location to the active (primary) monitor. You may want to look at Multi-Monitor Mouse (M3) which is a freeware app that should allow you to setup your mouse behaviors and a default monitor for the mouse cursor location.
  11. You can find the vploader.exe program under \GameEx\LOADERS For ease of installation, Future Pinball is my choice and, yes, you can use it with GameEx.
  12. You are correct, provided that there is nothing else identifiable in the bak file you are replacing. You will also need to keep the same size of the image (if the original file is 1024 x 768, then you will want to make sure that your image is the same scale).
  13. What happens if you switch which monitor is primary?
  14. That just sounds - well, painful. Better watch the wording - you know what Google will do with that.
  15. As always, the simple solution - thanks Tom!
  16. Have you looked in the Setup Wizard or Advanced Configuration? You should be able to edit the emulated system name to that of your own choosing, assign it a logo, etc. EDIT: Strike that and reverse it! It only has the option to enable or disable.
  17. The reason I ask is that the log was showing multiple instances of paths not found on the z:\ drive. Again, not sure if that is part of the issue, just an observation.
  18. A quick question and this may have absolutely nothing to do with what is causing your sytem to error,. Do you have your emulators and ROMs installed on a mapped network drive? If so, any problems connecting to it?
  19. I believe the issue was with the 140u2 highscore diff as that was what was failing to apply. I also applied the 140u1 and 140u2 diff files this time without a problem. I would try compiling again first. If you find any issues with your roms, make backups of them and try clrmamepro. I have not had to reconfigure any of my games but, as always, never hurts to make backups before making any changes.
  20. Have you tried updating the weather app again? Made any changes to your theme that might have removed the Weather icon location?
  21. Make sure when you select your location that the Centigrade check box is not checked. I also used my zip code to search more accurately for the location. My guess is that it is using a cookie stored somewhere on the PC - perhaps Tom can shed some light as to where we should look in the event the cookie needs to be deleted if it is not being properly overwritten or, in the event that the cookie is being deleted. I know that the MCE weather app uses cookies stored on the PC to save location data.
  22. If compiling using HK's compiler, you will need to delete the source files and download them again (or unzip the original to the paths indicated in the instructions) and compile again applying whatever diffs you wish to include first. Once the mameui.exe file is created, it cannot be updated again.
  23. No guide, but there are options in Advanced Configuration to launch programs as apps. If you are good at designing basic web pages, you could also lauch as a web site with shortcut links. SInce Steam uses gameid links you may have to launch Steam first unless someone else knows of a better way. EDIT: I tried running Steam as an app but ran into some errors with the load through GameEx. I believe, however, that you can load the individual games by using the bat or exe file for the game directly through path drive:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\Steamapps\common\game folder . Launching them from a programmable launch script or menu may be preferable since there are a limited number of application slots available.
  24. I followed the instructions from the site here. You can download the latest copy and dat files from http://mamedev.emulab.it/clrmamepro/ . There are also a few threads here in the forums.
  25. Thanks Tom! Keeps getting better and better!
