  1. Not an expert on this by any stretch but it doesn't sound as if the table is being cleanly closed.
  2. /-PinballX-/Databases/Zaccaria would be a good default location then. That said, it is probably a good idea for @padpsand others to learn how to modify their xml data files via Notepad++ or other text editing apps so they can initiate their own triage for launching and media naming issues. This is essential.
  3. Has this been updated in the FTP? I found several with older dates on the FTP site under: /-PinballX-/Databases/Zaccaria /-PinballX-/Other Uploads/Joyrider3774/Zaccaria Pinball/Database/Zaccaria Pinball /-PinballX-/Other Uploads/Joyrider3774/Zaccaria Pinball official filenames/Database I think overwriting the one in /-PinballX-/Databases/Zaccaria would probably be best as a neutral reference going forward, but just a suggestion for the supporting folks for this endeavor.
  4. You may want to attach copies of your pinballx.ini file and log.txt files - 1 each for launch of 64-bit and OpenGL versions for review.
  5. I merged the two recently opened same threads into one. At this point, please attach copies of your pinballx.ini and log.txt files (no copy & paste) in response to this thread.
  6. Thanks! I confirmed that current version 18.64 is downloading and installing the Arcade Ambience and Steam Wrapper and Config files without error.
  7. I combined my topic with related thread submitted by @JollyRgrs on June 14.
  8. Since upgrading my gaming rig and laptop to Windows 11 none of our AIO printers can connect over Ethernet or WiFi connections. This appears to be a widespread issue attributed to 22H2, 23H2 and a few different KBs and 10x as many non-working "solutions." I am thinking that I may be able to bypass the local PC struggles by connecting to a printer and file server instead. Any suggestions - kit, OS, etc.?
  9. Hi Tom - getting the following error when attempting to download Arcade Ambience file and Steam Wrappers and Configs with latest update for GameEx: Arcade Ambience file - Steam Wrappers and Configs -
  10. To what end? Just curious.
  11. Have you tried it with Xinput controllers such as Xbox gamepads?
  12. Searching through the FTP I found a great deal of Zaccaria content within these FTP paths: - /-PinballX-/Media/Zaccaria Pinball /-PinballX-/Other Uploads/Joyrider3774/Zaccaria Pinball Best answer is here if you cannot find images for any system on the FTP or in the PinballX repository to create your own: Thread from Joyrider: If you use the Joyrider table videos, you may want to see if there is a way to batch extract the 1st frame to png using ffmpeg - probably is but I will defer to the resident experts as I have minimal experience with the app.
  13. I get that. It is supposed to be managed by the feature already there but isn't for keyboard and dinput.
  14. The mode change would take place outside of GameEx, so no need for an enhancement or feature request. If Dinput is not working then that is a bug, which has been reported here and verified by me previously.
  15. Seems the instructions and product description are conflicting.
  16. Thanks for reporting this. I can confirm that this also occurs at least for version 18.63 as well:
  17. Go to the PinballX downloads. Click on Change Log next to the version noted and select the older version to download. Be advised that support for such an old version will be limited at best.
  18. ...and there are updated guides within the upgrade media for PinballX courtesy of @Mike_da_Spike.
  19. That is entirely up to "the one that matters" @Tom Speirs. Since the codec is not his, there may be a reason why distribution is not with the application. 🧠 Regardless, I am afraid I am out of options at the moment. Something is amiss on your system and it is not something I can replicate with mine. There are a myriad of things GameEx depends upon Windows having installed right to work (drivers, .NET, etc.) you may have to do some sleuthing in Event Viewer to see if any "events" stand out around the date/time that the error occurs. FYI - codecies (actually spelled codicies) is plural of codex which is an ancient manuscript or tome. Codecs is the correct plural for codec which is an abbreviation of Coder-Decoder.
  20. Based upon the error I found, you did and it looks like it isn’t appearing in the log any longer since you installed the codec. At least that is now ruled-out.
  21. Looking for this file - dots - 75169.mp4 Also, the LAV codecs are essential - download them, install, and let us know if it resolves the error. If not, please attach a new log.txt file so we can see what is showing.
  22. Can you attach a copy of the .mp4 file referenced in this exerpt below? 15:42:14.21 6/11/2024: Open: Failed Opening Video: c:\gameex arcade edition\themes\default - default\media\random video backgrounds\dots - 75169.mp4 Also can you confirm that you have installed the recommended LAV codecs? Thanks
  23. You already provided this - need the log.txt file right after the error. Thanks!
  24. LTNS! I do not run the Linux version but would guess that file structures would be similar to the setup within Windows.
