There are people out there who HAVE the console already. They shipped out dev units like a month ago. They have complete kits. As it is right now, the joysticks are completed, they've been shipped, they're just waiting for customs. They still have 2 days from their last announced commitment.

I recall them saying in an official statement that backers will have them by Thanksgiving. They were held up because they couldn't get all the joysticks built due to outsourcing certain parts. All of the consoles and joypad controllers had already been shipped overseas and were waiting final shipping from their warehouse. They got the required parts in and were making the final sticks. They said they would do an overnight/2-day ship from China to the US once all the backer orders for joysticks were completed. Since it's not quite Thanksgiving yet, I'm still hopeful. As far as the delays, they have been completely open and honest about the why's (just not the when's). Covid-19 really shat on the world this year.

I grew up with my dad as an Atari fanboy, so I never got to experience the C64/Amiga craze until years later when Youtube had access to to the music and emulation was becoming a thing. Still love the music though. Feel like I missed out.

2020 can't possibly get any worse! I remember him has Indiana Jones' father, and in "Darby O'Gill and the Little People". Yes, he was the best James Bond ever, followed by Daniel Craig. But he's got a lot more history than that. It's always sad to hear the passing of celebrities. You feel like it's a member of your family, somebody you personally know. Prayers for his family. ET's problem was a bug in the code. With a simple patch the game is completely playable nowadays in emulators. Kinda fun too.

You got me. <shrug> I've never been a fan of this game. I just don't understand the appeal. I guess you just had to experience it in the atmosphere it existed in (and probably be tripping at the same time). Updated OP, DB, RSS I also removed TIF from the board! Let that be a lesson for everybody. Don't pop in and kill all the scores thinking you're a badass. You get nothing for it, other than making people pissed at you. And above all else, DON'T CHEAT! There's no way this guy was better than the World Record holders for the games he smashed high scores on. Don't know what he was thinking, but it was pathetic!

Happy Belated! I would have noticed yesterday had I felt like turning on the computer. Yup, I'm sick again. I don't know if it's just me, or maybe you guys just don't communicate it here when you're sick too. But yeah, probably got a sinus infection. My stepmom has been fighting one for 5 days. Of course, working in a grocery store doesn't help. I left work early and went to the doctor (urgent care). Apparently I have more than half of the symptoms for Covid-19 so they tested me. I came back negative but it's too close to tell so they want me to continue isolation for 48 hours. Luckily I'm off that 3rd day, so hopefully all will be better by Saturday

Yeah this video popped up in my Youtube browsing yesterday. I started it and just couldn't look away. I just had to keep watching. Always satisfying to watch dominoes drop like that.

I'm still (reluctantly) holding out on buying the game. It just came out, and reviews are tough to negotiate. Graphics are top notch but game play is suffering. There's no way to "partner" with your friends on the same team, etc.. I've also been seeing a lot of gripe about the length of the game, that it's really short, and explains the low $40 cost. I don't get a lot of play time, and when I do, I prefer single player campaign play. Online play is always full of elitists who won't let you play and enjoy the game. That's the part I hate about Star Wars Battlegrounds 2. The game is absolutely gorgeous, but unless you're a seasoned veteran with the best upgrades in the game, you have no chance of competing, and that makes it impossible to reach that same level (without micro transactions [I know, they said THIS game doesn't have that]). I'll wait a bit and see if the negative reviews die down and some positivity comes out. I do like that controller @Draco1962. I was reading some of the negative Amazon reviews. Looks like it's a flop. All plastic with no weight or substance, and the throttle doesn't "stick", and the joystick will wiggle when you're not holding it. I also don't see any mentions of any Haptic technology. Not necessarily a reversing force feedback, but not even a rumble/vibration? Might have to pass. But it also looks like the only current controller that's compatible with Xbox.

OOoooo! Dammit, another reason for me to blow money. I don't even have a desk. If I could get that replacement power cable for my Sidewinder Force Feedback 2, and another $40 for the game, I'd be right there. But, I'm still struggling to get back on my feet after those back to back surgery bills totally $1500 (originally $48k, thanks to patient financial assistance) and a lapsed car payment. I'm lucky to have about $14 in my bank right now. BUT.. it's a Star Wars game, and I'll have it eventually. I just wish Xbox One X could have some kind of VR. I've never experienced VR, the cost has just been to high for me. But this is a game that looks like it was designed for it. <sigh> If only I had more money. @Draco1962I seem to recall you saying you have this controller. Any chance you could test it for me to confirm it works? If not, I'm gonna have to come up with even MORE money to get a decent stick and throttle setup.

I'm just curious who will get console number 1,688. It was forever glorified by being represented in their photos. I'm also curious who will get number 1, and who has 2600/5200. I'm backer 4,535, but there's no way to know which number you'll get. Although I suspect an early number and probably every even 100 will be more thoroughly tested on their rigs. Still, I liked this update.

Does he really?! Nah.. well... maybe? Nah.. Yeah I think I'm going to wait for the price to come down then just get the 4k box without the hoverboard. I'm a geek, and would love it for a gift, but it's just a gimmick. I mean, it's probably only like 2 inches across like those finger toys (forget what they're called at the moment) without wheels. And it probably sits at the top of the box, where you have to remove it to get to the movies if you want to watch them. I just don't think it's worth that extra $25 price tag for a gimmicky magnet. Now, if it came with a full-size board, even magnetized, THAT would be cool. But I would imagine the only full-size thing they might come out with along with a bluray animated set (another complete version) would be like a can of Pepsi in that new style, or maybe a true re-print of the Grays Sports Almanac with actual legit scores from up to 2015.. that'd be cool.
