It might not have been deliberate, but the game designers back in the day probably didn't think of all quaters they got just from people trying to figure out how to play it lol. I mean, if a game is 1 quarter, and game over if you fault 3 times (or whatever it is), you're out. So do you move on to a different game or keep playing hoping to figure out how to play? Have I played it? YES Did I own a game or 2? YES Did I enjoy the game? YES Am I fan? meeeh I owned a game or 2 for the original PSX, never played it on anything else. So a PS2 is a no go, not to mention PS4. Bet it looks awesome though. I need to get me a nextgen console already. I'm so immersed in these retrogaming rigs now. I was thinking about getting an Xbox 1 X, then heard Sony is gonna try to out do it with a PS4 Pro. Maybe I'll do what I did before and skip a generation. I went from PS1 to PS2. Skipped the PS3 and went to Xbox 360 (Skipping Xbox). Skipping PS4 and XB1 would put me on an even track.

I recall not having any problems playing this as a kid on the 'ol Atari, but 21st century had a heck of a time playing this. Same with Zaxxon, any of those 3D Isometric games just confuse my hands now. Updated OP, DB, RSS new hires banner too!

So.... congrats to rtkiii for making 10th place (now that I've removed TIF lol)! By doing absolutely nothing, with no score posted since November 2013, he's moved up a place! Everybody else did too, I just found that bit funny... I wasn't able to find a higher resolution marquee banner for this game. If anybody happens to know where I might fight one, send me a link! Sorry buddy, but your score wasn't meant to last! Actually, it's pretty good, considering this version with these settings is pretty difficult. I only managed to make it half way through Stage 2 (Egypt). Like all Metal Slug games, remember to rescue the POW's, don't spam on the guns because they don't last forever, and take your time! Follow the patterns on the big boss guys. Also.. does anybody know how to turn off all the artwork when taking screenshots? It's still annoying.. Well, you're already there if we don't count TIF's scores. I thought about how to remove him. We can straight up remove his entry in the DBM, but that would leave huge gaps in the various games he played in. Not to mention the ones he smashed as GOTM winner. The only way I've been doing it right now is to remove his entries on the individual games first, get everybody moved up a spot, then going back to remaking the tables. No biggie, we'll get there. Just a shame we had to have a such a jerk guy show up with no desire to even use GameEx, just to kill the competition with his (now doubt cheating) incredible scores. He only posted scores, and then when we called him out, he was rude and unwilling to cooperate. As for those 700 points.. that is pretty impressive. You have to remember, even though you get easy placement on games that only have 3 or 4 entries, you still have to place high enough to get the good points on the others. That said, even if you placed in 10th place each time, you're already doing better than me who is down in the +10's all the time, and I'm in 7th. Thought that's mostly because I've got more game entries than you. But posting any score is better than no score at all, and every little bit helps!

I took a peek. Seems like you forgot to add your custom emulator to the ini file using the correct command line. Try adding some "Comet" or "Scrubbing Bubbles" to the "launch before" flushing.

Man it's no wonder the SNES is so popular with people nowadays. I was always a Sega Genesis fanboy. But that was mostly due to the fact it was the system we had. Seeing a lot of these tech breakdown videos, it makes me yearn to to play these games now. I kinda wanna buy a mini too, but with the hassle it's causing for everybody to pre-order, and the debacle over the NES mini, I think I'll just stick to emulation for the time being.
