  1. You might also have to force set your refresh rate to 60hz for TV out. I had to do that with a lot of my emulators or the screen would flicker and sometimes go blank because it couldn't sync. But it looks like you alrady got it fixed, so NEVERMIND!

    FINALLY!

Congrats! I'm glad you decided not to quit as you were about to in another thread. We told you that you could do it. And now.. look what you've created! MUWAHAHAH!!!
  3. SSSSSSWWWWWWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEETTTT!!
  4. I'd also like to recommend this request! It would be cool to browse games based on their artworks and not just their names. Using the Genesis suggestion, you could set up these emulators to browse by like box art, then it's just like shopping for a game 10 years ago!

    I QUIT

I wouldn't just quit. Troubleshooting is half the fun, if you like that sort of thing. I do, but thats just me. Now onto the problem. I don't have chankast, so I can't provide you with a direct solution. However, it seems like you're having trouble with the emulator itself. You mentioned that you are using a shortcut lnk. That should be fine within GameEx. But something you should be looking at first (and if you are, my apologies) is the lnk and emulator. Forget all about GameEx for the time being. Get the emulator to load your game the way it should first. That's half the battle. Once you've figured out how to get the shortcut to mount the game and run the program, you're all set. Good luck my friend. Don't lose hope and give up! You know the answer's there somewhere. Other people have gotten it to work, and you will too! -HAN [EDIT] PS, did you try putting double quotes around the whole thing like this: "C:\Dreamcast\chankast_launch.exe -fullscreen -screen 1280x1024 -delay 10 -drive f -capcomhack -cpu 108 -showstats -daemon "C:\Program Files\Daemon Tools\daemon.exe" 0 "C:\Dreamcast\Games\zer-mvc2.cdi"" Windows is really funky when it comes to things like that. If there's a space anywhere in the path, Windows won't find it. It probably won't matter at all, since the path to the PROGRAM (chankast_launch.exe) doesn't have a space.. but it's worth it to try at least. Trial and error is the only way to do these things. Getting a direct answer isn't always going to solve your SPECIFIC answer. Good luck!
  6. Heh no problem. I didn't think it was necessarily related to this version, but I didn't think it warranted the creation of a whole new thread for that little question. In all and all though, what you have done is far exceeding that which was really required. And for that reason, I'm forever greatful. The program does what it was designed to and more. Thanks! Ok, so lets get a version made that works with randomly playing goodmerged games.
  7. BUG? Or Feature Limitation? When I run the "play random game" it works fine on sets that aren't GoodMerged. But those that are, it just launches the EMU without the ROM. When I exit back to GameEx, it shows the rom list from the Merge. I realize this may be a limitation of the program, so is there any chance of getting this feature to extract a merge and then play a random rom from the unzipped list?
  8. Wow! You'll never cease to amaze!
  9. Wow that looks amazing. Also, kinda reminds me of MCE's Vista theme...

    Mame.net

    It's working now.
  11. Sounds great! I'll try it out now!
  12. I just leave the brackets on.

    Mame.net

Agreed. I'm getting the same issue.
  14. That's a great idea. I'd love to see a database for pinball. Not only could you include a little a bit of history for each table, but you could also include a simple set of rules and an idea of targets to shoot for.
  15. I'm still running a 106u. Not sure which one. I've heard too many problems 107. I'm not willing to barge right in an try another build just yet.
  16. I've not tried to emulate the DC yet. Mainly because I never owned one, and downloading the games would be hellish.
  17. Thanks! Can't wait to try it out.
  18. Sure thing, no problem!
  19. Doublecheck your config for "Show Desktop". Try enabling it if it's disabled.
  20. To save space? But you're right.. split and non-merged are the best options when a romset like MAME is constantly being updated. For sets no longer being updated, merged is ideal.
  21. If you use Kega Fusion for your Sega Genesis emulation, just use that for your Master System and Game Gear too.
  22. When you run the MAME32 GUI, does it find your roms there? Also, make sure that your filter's are all set correctly. Meaning, all of your "show this and that" and "filter these games". They should be all set to SHOW and FILTER NONE so it find all the games. Once you get it that far, then you can tweak it out and start filtering out stuff you don't want.
  23. Heh, i've just recently started using Ghost. It's a great tool when you're troubleshooting. When I was bulding my MCE machine, I had it working perfectly. Then something made it crash and I had to reinstall everything. Bad luck there. I spent almost a month trying to make it work again. Thats what I get for building my own instead of buying a premade system. But in the end this second time, once I got it working right, I made a ghost image and saved it to a dvd-r. So now if it crashes again, I can at least restore back to the square one settings with a fully Windows Updated system that's ready to work with. I'm planning on doing another Ghost here soon of all my games/roms and such. Just incase... You'll wish you did when it happens...
  24. Fine by me.. it's not biggie.
  25. His problem may not be related, but I too have been having problems creating snaps. Whenever I try to create snaps in emulators that are 7zipped, it just crashes back to program. It doesn't proceed to launching the emulator. This may just be a problem with 7zipped sets though.
