Looking forward to the new release!
  2. Thanks for the continued releases!
  3. Thanks for the Hi-Score feed! It's awesome! I just need to play more games...
  4. OK... It was more than $10 (a lot more), and it took a while... But, I got on a good first man on this game, and got close to my personal best from back when I was a teenager... Maybe now I can update my cabinet with some of the newer contest games and try my luck! 7
  5. Wow... I don't recognize most of these... I'm going to have to expand my selection of games!
  6. @Adultery - Welcome! @GimmeClassics - Dooh!!! Now I'll have to spend another $10 trying to catch you again!
  7. Nice! Bring the hammer! or USE the hammer!
  8. A trackball is a must for centipede! Especially when I'm trying to run from the spider!
  9. It doesn't get me into the top, but it's my best attempt so far!
  10. Finally have a good score to post on this one!
  11. It took me about $30 in quarters, but I finally improved my score!
  12. Funny thing is my second place score was my first game once the competition was announced... I've played about $10 worth of quarters since, and never bested my first score!!! My tips/strategies... Gotta love the hammers for improving your score! And, do one side and then the other on Rivet levels.
  13. Thanks Tom!
  14. On my older arcade games, which are the ones I play the most, I do add the full bezel. It does shrink the play area, and sometimes hides portions of the screen (e.g. asteroids), but I still prefer it. I have downloaded all of my bezels from Mr.Do's Arcade - http://mrdo.mameworld.info/mame_artwork_ingame.php?p=4#here. I have Mame setup to use the bezels. I'll have to look up how I have done it, and edit this post. It's been too long since I set it up, and I'm not at my arcade machine now. EDIT: It looks like I've configured it with MAMEUI32. In the games properties popup, in the Miscellaneous tab, I have the Artwork set to have backdrops, bezels, & overlays on. This along with having the dkong.zip artwork file from Mr.Do's Arcade in the MAMEUI32/artwork folder.
  15. This is one of my favorite games!!! I'd like to say that it took me a while to get back into it, but this is one that I usually fire up whenever my cabinet is turned on... 74,500
  16. S-video is higher quality than composite video... The picture is transferred as 2 separate signals (chroma & luma) instead of just one in composite... But, it does not deliver as good a picture as component...
  17. @ naborneo - I would agree with you that any emulator that works on linux will have a good chance of 'running' on the Raspberry Pi. The problem is how will it perform. The RPi is not a beefy machine by any stretch of the imagination (700MHz ARM processor, 256MB memory (early adopter like me) or 512MB). I've seen a couple of web pages with RPi's running MAME, but none of them discuss the software setup or versions... Maybe the recent builds just work...? I haven't had time to try yet. I found this blog tonight regarding a release of PiMAME 0.5.
  18. I'm interested in anyone's responses as well. I have Raspberry Pi as well, but it too is simply running XMBC. I would definitely be interested in how to get it running well with MAME and other emulators. My fear is that it is too under-powered to run recent MAME builds, and my guess is that it would be painful to try and get an older version and all of it's required files in sync... But I'm a rookie at that, so I could be wrong.
  19. I haven't moved to Frodo yet either, but I will soon. I'm ready to drop MS Media Center for my PVR and Live TV. I run it on my main TV, but haven't installed the GameEx plugin yet. I'll have to try it! I also run it on a RaspPi in another room just to stream from the other machine. Works great! When I do upgrade, I'll let you know.

    New menu item

Thanks for the link! There's a few of those I remember playing back in the day...
  21. Looks great! Nice enhancement to an already popular theme.
  22. Thanks for the link. I already use most of them, but there were definitely some new links for tools to try out!
  23. Thanks KRC!
  24. These look great! I hope you're going to release a set without backgrounds. It would make any tinting or adding to console/controller/etc. images easy! Thanks for all the work you do!
  25. No problem... I'll re-zip and try it again. Ouch... With zip, it's 200MB instead of 145MB with 7zip. Looks like it went through this time! Thanks!
