I would like to make a feature request to have the LIST view behind the Foreground image, or at least selectable in the theme.ini to be so.

I would like to request that the Selector bar animations have a theme selectable style for the animation. Currently, the animation moves from frame 1 to 15, back down to 1, repeat. I would like the option to have the animation more of a one-way animation, such as 1 to 15, 1 to 15, repeat...

Yeah, I'm still working on Logos. I'd also have to 'uncustomize' it a little. I should simplify my ideas to at least get V1 released... Maybe the contest is the perfect motivator!

Thanks Draco. Files attached. In the image, Favorites is selected. The lists in the lower-middle of the screen used to be the same as the 'Change View Back Home Exit' above and to the left (meaning no background)... Let me know if you need more info. Theme.txt

I'm not exactly sure which version I noticed this, around 11.79 (running 11.83 now)... I'm constantly messing with my custom theme, so I just assumed that I broke it... Well, now I'm trying to fix it, and I can't find where... Before the issue, my List Item text used transparent backgrounds on non-selected items, with the animated selector on the selected text. Now, I have a darker blue background behind unselected items in the list. Was this a GameEx change? or did I mess up a setting or image somewhere? What setting/image controls this? Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Draco, Nice theme! By the way... I notice that you use Foreground and background images in themes... Do you know the actual item layering order for all of the theme 'widgets'? I haven't looked at it in a long time, but reverted back to just doing everything on the background image because the LIST widget was on top of the foreground image (we're talking early 10.xx versions). What advantages do you see in using foreground images? Thanks in advance for your opinion and thoughts.

Thanks for the kudos on my WOPR theme... As with most themes, it's still a work in progress! It's a 1600x1200 theme using custom menus, and I 'planned' a full image/bg/logo replacement. I can't make a decision (actually I can, I just keep changing it back and forth), as to if I want all of my logos as glowing line art (like any graphics in the movie), or nice full color images. I've attached a couple of examples. I've also bounced back and forth on Video versus Logo versus .X files. I usually use Gimp, but with this theme, I've been trying a different approach. I'm using a makefile and ImageMagick command line calls to build up the graphics. It's making global changes, such as font changes, easier to implement. I really need to spend more time on it, because I really enjoy the results, but life is busy! I'm no where near having a complete logo or background list as well... At what point would/should someone share a theme? I'm all in favor of sharing it, but it's not 'done'.

It's not a plug-in. It installs as an application in the Start Menu. GameEx -> Configuration -> Custom Menus

I'm pretty sure that all of the mappings you're talking about are strictly coded for MAME. I use MESS for multiple systems, and I simply set each one up as a separate emulator and use the supported Custom Menus to create the structure I want for menus. An example would be: DVDs Music Games ---MAME ---Atari 2600 (MESS) ---TRS80 Color Computer (MESS) ---Sega Genesis ---... etc. It works great.

Before you reformat, try installing your HDD in another machine as a secondary drive and see if you can get to the files... Maybe it's only Windows that's messed up, and not the HDD... Good Luck!

Thanks for another update! As for the DVD rip, Handbrake supports a ton of format options, do we have access to any of these? or if not, could you post what options you've programmed in?

Just as another data point, I run custom menus but do NOT see this behavior... I have 11 items in my first menu, but only show the first 6, with the first one always selected at startup.

The logos look pretty sweet Draco1962! Although with my current setup, I don't get to see many of them [edit] I really like how you did your exit logo! I'm going to have to swipe that one for my normal custom theme!
