  1. Best way to do that is install GameEx on your C: drive (default C:\Program Files\GameEx whatever), configure it, then copy your GameEx folder to the HDD. Then on his side, he can install GameEx on his C: too, then he can just copy over his GameEx folder with your one from the HDD. And if you have all the ROM paths and emulators set to E: and he sets the HDD to E: also that should be all you need to do.
  2. Your going to encounter this sort of thing alot I'm afraid. Just try to enjoy the journey Every emulator is written by a different author and getting them all working inside a FE is really a miraculous thing when you think about it. Alot of people wonder why it isn't easier and were all working together to try and make it easier. On the plus side alot of people have gone through what you have already. So I recommend checking out the search feature and reading through some of the older threads and how people have got certain emulators running already. If you still can't figure it out then make a new post. It's best not to keep posting in a thread about an N64 emulator when your having problems with a NES one. New problem, new post. Again just try and enjoy yourself even though it can get a bit frustrating at times
  3. It tells you the working path for your "Nintendo NES Games" emulator profile doesn't exist.
  4. I'm not sure Tom said he did fix it but he may have missed some code to change. When I did it manually myself I found there were many places in the code that required changing to fix it. Maybe Tom has missed something on his end. It's the first time he's done a bug fix in the Theme Editor himself so it's quite easy to imagine he may have. Are you using the latest Theme Editor? If you are using the latest version in the official release of GameEx and it still doesn't work then can you try the one attached? I'm pretty sure I fixed the bug in this one but can you confirm one way or the other so I can let Tom know if need be.
  5. Well if you take a look at KG's WHDLoad Pack's website you will see there is already a nice set of demo's converted to WHDLoad format. It's quite a job to go through and add them all into the database. Personally I'm going to wait for the next version of GameBase Amiga when hopefully all these new games and demos are added. It depends alot on Belgarath though who seems to have no interest in Amiga demo's. Wobbly (from here) already asked him and he replied Since WinUAE Loader uses the database from GameBase Amiga, what it supports depends on what Belgarath decides on adding. To add games manually check out WinUAELoader\Data\WHDLoad.xml and you will see all the entries for the games. You can edit it in a text editor to add more games.
  6. I've always wondered why there was a need for a Zinc wrapper when GameEx already integrates it. Someone care to explain it to me?
  7. GameEx can already do this, check out "Advanced Configurations". Have a look in GameEx\CONFIG\EMULATORS for some examples. To remap keys use the following format. [KEYBOARDREMAP] # Remap Keys for the emulator. Specify from the from key, which is the key you wish to replace the to key # This should be good enough for real time gaming. Registered version feature. Look at VKCodes.htm for codes. Enabled=True Remap_1_From_VK= Remap_1_To_VK= You can take a look at VKCodes.htm or use my utility called "Virtual Key code lookup" from here and you can press a key to get the keycode.
  8. I doubt it would work with any hardware not listed. I heard some people have gotten their BetaBrites off e-bay so I would take a look there.
  9. Have you taken a look at WinUAE Loader? It allows you to map your controls in that as well as a bunch of other settings for launching WinUAE from a cab. It can also fully integrate with GameEx. You can check out this thread for more detailed instructions on how to get it running in GameEx. If you have any problems just post here.
  10. Not all games in Mame flash the start buttons when a coin is inserted. So the plugin only supports games that do like DigDug.
  11. Fantastic! Woohooo!
  12. Thank you Tempest, your welcome! You have been a great supporter of CPWizard and I thank you for it. Im happy to update anytime necessary!
  13. CPWizard 1.66 Released - Fixed bug using layout overrides (Tempest) Let me know if that fixes the bug
  14. Some good ideas here about dealing with different layouts for games. I will look into adding something like this in the next CPWizard release.
  15. 3 PC's with the same problem and I have never seen this error before. Looks like it could be a virus I'm afraid. Run a virus scanner and SpyBot S&D. BTW What codecs are you using for video playback?
  16. I've never seen this error before. Maybe Tom needs to look at this?
  17. Lol classic! Good ol' Google context sensitive advertising
  18. I don't know why you unpinned this topic? Here are some more I've found EDIT: Tom: Moved YouTube video to first post. Thanks HK. EDIT 2: Tom: Looks like you already did. Thanks. Im gonna pin it again. EDIT 3: Ben: You must have edited my post just after I did
  19. Lol well I'm often working on my PC so have the forum open most the time
  20. Ahh yeah there seem to be a few blokes who set this emulator up to show their kids the games they used to play Happy to help out, and it's nice to feel the work is appreciated. There are plenty of helpful people on here so don't feel bad about asking for it on here. WinUAE is still pretty hard to set up, the loader does take alot of the pain away though. BTW I'm in Australia
  21. The convert artwork is for converting the artwork found @ http://gbamiga.elowar.com/files/ into the format GameEx needs. This time you will need to keep the screenshots in their alphabetical folders. Then just select the type of artwork you want to convert. Direct downloads: http://gbamiga.elowar.com/files/@Main/Game...ete%20v1.5).zip http://gbamiga.elowar.com/files/Extras/Gam...ete%20v1.5).zip Then in GameEx you can set the snap, title, box and cart paths to point to these converted artwork. BTW Thanks for the donation!
  22. Hey it was an honest mistake I didn't even realise there was a February update on that site. So it's the first I heard about it today. Yes I wrote WinUAE Loader. The donation page for it is here. Thanks for your support and enjoy playing your favourite Amiga games!
  23. The "Feb Update" you downloaded is an update. WinUAE Loader doesn't support those games so right now just keep them for later incase GameBase Amiga guys update their database. I use their database so when they support the February update then I will add support too. So really the 70 MB download was a bit of a waste of your time, but just keep it for later. I would delete them out of your roms folder for now as only those 4 games you saw are supported in the database. Under that update you will see "Packs" broken up into the alphabet. You will have to download all those packs instead. You can place the games anywhere you want as long as "WHDLoad Games" Path is set to it. The place you have already is fine (C:\Emulators\WinUAELoader\roms).
  24. That's your problem! Your downloading the updates! Those are not supported yet! You have to download the "Packs"
  25. You have to press the ADDREPLY button. Then you will see the attachments section.
