  1. They are in the database in order of GameBase->WHDLoad->SPS and identified by the brackets next to the name. Eg. "Last Ninja 3 (WHDLoad)"
  2. It doesn't matter what format they are stored in the xml's as when you convert them to mdb's it converts them to the Access date format. BTW I found this collection of No-Intro Screenshot packs which should be good to make sure they are matching okay for No-Intro dats in the databases.
  3. Do you mean the mdb for GameEx? Look in the Data\GameEx folder it has all the files needed in there. The mdb is now following the new GameEx database format, so it is called "[PC] Commodore Amiga.mdb" (located in WinUAELoader/Data/GameEx/DATA/EMULATORS). You will notice the files in Data\GameEx are located in the same folders GameEx uses. EDIT: Just realised I didn't update the ini files properly DATABASE=AMIGA should be DATABASE=[PC] Commodore Amiga
  4. greatflash: No problem doing an update to the databases as the version numbers will help me keep track of things. Tom: Thanks for the update it's really appreciated! I was thinking now that Tom has changed GameEx so that it will try NoIntro->GoodName->TOSEC to find a game match, perhaps I should change GameEx DBM to only write a name to the mdb if it's different from the last one? That should save some storage in the mdb's what do you think?
  5. The reason why GameEx DBM works in the US date format is because they are scraped from Moby in US format. So I decided to keep it that way and have a standard across the board. The way C# keeps dates internally depends on your region, so I decided to write them in US format. If there is a problem converting the dates to mdb, let me know perhaps I need to fix a problem in GameEx DBM? Fantastic update Tom, I love the way it trys all three naming conventions when creating a game list, that is great. That will save people having to guess which naming convention their filenames are in.
  6. Great work Flash fantastic! I will be removed them once I've downloaded them as I will be keeping track and organsing the complete databases then passing them on to Tom. So as I grab it I will be removing it from here and crossing it out in the first post.
  7. Yep it is
  8. From the website So yes this will be quite possible and support has now been added to GameEx, so this is now an option
  9. GameEx DBM Version 1.26 Released - Fixed bug sorting columns - Fixed version number removal (supports version numbers with letters at the end)
  10. Happy to help where I can, I know how tedious data entry can be so even minor changes to the way data its entered can save a tonne of time. Also e-mailed Tom today and mentioned the problem with filenames containing "...". He's going to release a private beta for testing the new databases and I've requested he make it an official release that still supports the old format so we can gradually release the new databases. These are going to take longer to get done than the old ones so it may be better to add them as they're done. So just to reiterate the current problems I've reported to Tom - If the mdb data contains & or '\n' (newline) characters it has problems displaying the data - If the filename contains a "..." (three fullstops) it will not find the game in the database - GameEx displays "GoodName" name in the game list instead of "Name"
  11. Version 1.25 Released - GameInfo window is now sizeable - GameInfo description now uses Courier as font
  12. chriss: They updated the database but did not change the version of the database. So it will still say 2.5 even if it's 2.6. wobbly: You probably need to create new map files for GameEx
  13. WinUAE Loader 1.6 Released - Updated GameBase Amiga database to 2.6 - Added support for GameEx's new database format.
  14. PlugInLCD 2.75 Released - Added support for Ultimarc U-HID (http://www.u-hid.com) - Fixed Mame.dll memory leak
  15. Can you please try 1.79.
  16. CPWizard 1.79 Released - Fixed Mame.dll memory leak This is probably a premature release as there are heaps of things I've wanted to do in this next update but just haven't had time. I really want people who had issues with the memory leak to test this new version.
  17. Leif: I spoke to Andy recently and he was working on ArcadeVGA x64 drivers. So it sounds like it's in the works.
  18. There were problems with some of the recent 125u releases which broke the xml output of Mame. So I would try the very latest u6 or something earlier.
  19. I discovered a memory leak in Mame.dll which might be causing this although the leak is minor I guess if you run enough games in attract mode it might cause a problem. This will be fixed in the next release of CPWizard.
  20. Version 1.24 Released - Added "Search" button Sorry about all the recent releases but flash and I are adding alot of new functions that should make things easier in the long run. Especially this new idea he came up with which I think is a huge time saver. Also I've updated some of the files in the larger download including adding all the categories for the default databases so please do a download of the full release for this but be careful not to overwrite any xml files your currently working on. This will save people the step of "Get Category". The reason I didn't do this in the first place was because I wasn't sure if I was 100% happy with my category guessing algorithm. But for now it will have to do. If you see a category that is blantently wrong just double click the game and change it manually.
  21. It's on my "To Not Do" list EDIT: Updated the first post to "make more sense". I'll add the databases people are working on to it as well.
  22. Running Setup Wizard does not mess with your current settings.
  23. greatflash: Please leave in the & symbols and paragraph breaks in the descriptions. Either Tom will fix this in GameEx, or I will fix them when you create the mdb using GameEx DBM. But it's definately best to keep them in the databases so we have the original data. EDIT: Oops Tom posted, so there we go
  24. Run the GameEx Setup Wizard and take a look in "Basic MAME Settings". Check your paths.
  25. Version 1.23 Released - Fixed bug with "OK + Next" button not working Sorry about that, download the ExeOnly package again to fix the annoying bug that slipped through last release. Tempest: That database you uploaded is incomplete. Also if a dat file doesn't have the game listed I think it's best we either leave it blank or use a fake name instead. We definately don't want the wrong game name listed. Some examples: The game Hockey, you have under TOSEC as "Hockey & Tennis" but there is another game called that which is already in the TOSEC game column. Same thing with "Tetris by Peter Trauner" for TOSEC, which you have as "Tetris" but there is already a game called Tetris. I would either generate a fake name (using the "?" button) or just leave it blank. It's very confusing I know, you should try and explain some of this stuff! lol. I think you will get it after playing around for a while. Just keep trying to get the Channel F database done right and I'm sure you will figure it out soon enough. So to re-iterate, when you first start GameEx DBM all the data that's already there. Our goals are to 1. Fill in the GoodTool/NoIntro/TOSEC names by using "Get" (if they have a dat file for it), then fixing the missed or incorrect matches 2. Use "Get Category" to generate a category 3. If we decide to use the "Add Missing" then we should be prepared to scour the web to fill in the rest of the missing data 4. Fill in missing data manually
