BTW Shouldn't the N64 one be amber then? I thought red meant mostly incomplete, amber was nearly complete and green complete? I think we need a key at the end of the list showing what the colors mean because I don't even think I know what they mean

You must have posted that at the same time. Well if you get mod status you can edit the first post to add that info. I don't mind the thread being open to others and we can always go through and trim out irrelevent posts down the line if needed. IMHO I think we should keep pinned topics to a minimum and I don't think it's necessary to open a new thread to just list the status of the databases. The first post in this one should cover it don't you think?

Thanks Flash I got those latest xml's from the FTP. I've noticed lots of them don't have a biography in them. You can delete SysInfo.xml because DBM doesn't use it anymore, the biography is now stored in the database's xml file. So can you please add them in when you get a chance, all I did was open SysInfo.xml in a text editor and copy/paste them into DBM. I did go through and do that for all of them, but it was pointless since many of the xml's I had were older versions.

I didn't see the point in changing the name format, so that stays the same. If you open the new databases in Access there is a new table called "Configuration" it has the version information there. We are pretty much taking care of it, but the databases are no longer part of the GameEx install, you have to download them manually.

Okay I edited the first post to list all the databases, now I guess we need to go through them to show their status somehow. Okay I color coded them the same as in DBM. What do you think Flash?

In most cases a forward slash will work in Windows, it's not as fussy as Linux but it's best not to get into a bad habit of using them

You should always use backslashes in Window's filenames, while in many cases a forward slash will work, a backslash is the proper file separator character for Windows. Linux uses the forward slash. Also some Emu's have changed in respect to needing the double quotes in some cases over the years, so you may or may not need them depending on the version. So I would try Frequency's suggestions. EDIT: I can see the profile included in GameEx doesn't have the double quotes, so this may be the emulator that changed the need for them.

I don't know but I just tried compiling 128 both 32 and 64 bit versions with the hiscore patch and there was no error message. I would probably delete your source folder and try again.

I would only move the data files that GameEx uses the same as CPWizard.

Okay that's fair enough mate, I was going to put them in the next upload but I'll do it later. I uploaded a new version of the DBM program (it will be fine to go for the ExeOnly version) which now adds Developer drop down list and also a new option called File->Export Mdb(s) and basically you can select a bunch of databases from the list and select which fields you want to include from a dialog and it will export them to a single mdb. Let me know if there are any problems

Have a look in CPWizard.ini under [DataFiles] you can set your own paths there, but I suggest you leave ListInfo and MiniInfo the way they are.

Which one am I supposed to download? The "[backup]" one seems to have older xml's?

Okay so just so you know I've been working on the DBM software today, and have currently implemented the drop down list for Developer. I am now working on the exporting of multiple databases into a single database. You wanted the Name, System, and Developer fields to be included but I think I'll add a form where you can choose the fields you want as I'm sure it will change in the future. Let me know of anything else needed for this next update.

VisitorQ: The bezel patch also patches Mame so it can unpause when exiting CPWizard so it's not just for using bezels. CPWizard supports command.dat using the standard command line Mame so you don't need those other versions. It's just another option in the menu called "Control Info".

Not sure if this will be any help, but just copy these files into the folder and run "ZipAll.bat" to zip everything up or "UnZipAll.bat" to unzip everything. It's probably just the version of zip that GX doesn't understand. ZipAll.zip

Start->Programs->GameEx->Setup Wizard then click Next, Custom and select "Emulator Selection", next then the "A" button will sort your emulators.

Another thing worth noting is if you apply the bezel_0127.diff patch to Mame in a custom compiled version (I always compile my own with hiscore support and bezel patch) then CPWizard will actually unpause Mame when you exit CPWizard. You must have the "Send Pause Key" option set and the bezel patch applied for it to work though.

I'll check it out more when I'm not limited to 64k again, my Internets is so sloowwwww
