  1. Tom's stance was pretty clear about this, he's against any software that can track and maintain credits because Mame dev don't like it. The software in question has been removed and is not available here anymore.
  2. I have been working on a new wrapper that was going to have this feature. The main problem though is having a universal way to detect multiple disks. I'm not sure when I'll get around to working on it again, but I hope to have it released some day.
  3. Tempest: That is what "Always lit" is for, set your admin buttons to always light that's what I do for my CP. You should be able change colors of your admin buttons by having the MAME profile admin buttons "always lit" and setting them the color you want. Then for other emulators set them to always lit again with the colors you want.
  4. Yes thats correct I think you are expecting it work in a way thats probably a bit different than most people. I do try to cater for different tastes as best as I can. Thats because the buttons for the game light up not the MAME profile. I'm not sure exactly what your expecting, most people like to have the buttons for the game lit. I can't imagine a situation where people would prefer their MAME profile over the game profile when playing a game.
  5. You have the "Light Game buttons in list" so it's lighting the LEDs for 005. This is correct. It should be lighting 005, again sounds correct to me. They should be lit for the game (Button 1 should be lit)

    EMS Lightgun 2

chriss: diff files are human readable so you can just open them up in Notepad
  7. - How do you expect it to be lighting? - How is it actually lighting? - Is it only a problem while in a list? - What options do you have set (LEDs Off When Game is Run, Use GameEx Profile in List, Light Game Buttons in List?)
  8. Tempest: Looking at your profiles GameEx.ini [Default] P1_COIN=,False,49,49,49,49,False P1_START=,False,49,49,49,49,False P1_BUTTON1=,False,49,49,49,49,False P1_BUTTON2=,False,49,49,49,49,False P1_BUTTON3=,False,49,49,49,49,False P1_BUTTON4=,False,49,49,49,49,False P1_BUTTON5=,False,49,49,49,49,False P1_BUTTON6=,False,49,49,49,49,False P1_BUTTON7=,False,49,49,49,49,False P1_TRACKBALL=,False,49,49,49,49,False P1_CUSTOM1=,True,49,0,49,0,False P1_CUSTOM2=,True,49,49,0,0,False P1_CUSTOM3=,False,49,49,49,49,False P1_CUSTOM4=,True,49,0,0,49,False P1_CUSTOM5=,True,49,0,0,49,False P2_COIN=,False,49,49,49,49,False P2_START=,False,49,49,49,49,False P2_BUTTON1=,False,49,49,49,49,False P2_BUTTON2=,False,49,49,49,49,False P2_BUTTON3=,False,49,49,49,49,False P2_BUTTON4=,False,49,49,49,49,False P2_BUTTON5=,False,49,49,49,49,False P2_BUTTON6=,False,49,49,49,49,False P2_BUTTON7=,False,49,49,49,49,False P2_BUTTON8=,False,49,49,49,49,False P1_BUTTON8=,False,49,49,49,49,False The only LED's you have lit up are P1_CUSTOM1, P1_CUSTOM2, P1_CUSTOM4 and P1_CUSTOM5. So that explains why they're not lighting up properly there. You MAME.ini only has P1_CUSTOM4 and P1_CUSTOM5 lit up. [Default] P1_CUSTOM2=,False,49,49,0,0,False P1_CUSTOM1=,False,49,0,49,0,False P1_CUSTOM4=,True,49,0,49,0,False P1_CUSTOM5=,True,49,0,49,0,False Going by your two profiles here you don't have your LED's lit up correctly. Remember the "State" tickbox is whether or not to light up an LED. Glad to hear the plugin isn't causing the crashing. Tom removed the latest version from the GameEx install because of your post about that.
  9. Version 1.76 Released - Wildcard matching for Replace - Data->Name->Remove Brackets added
  10. lnk's are just shortcuts so it would be a shortcut that runs the DOSBOX exe with a config file following it. Setup an emulator with *.lnk as the filter. It's setting up the lnk's that is the time consuming part, launching them from GX is easy.
  11. Installing over the top is fine as long as you've saved your layout files as something different from the default.
  12. To be honest VisitorQ I can't see anything wrong in the log file, it looks like it's having success bringing frmLayout to the foreground (hence the "Success! Foreground hWnd: 0x721810" message). Can you turn off Verbose logging and download the latest version of CPWizard. I did some work on it today, fixing the Mame.dll thread issue. Hopefully it will resolve your problem here.
  13. DBM Version 1.75 Released - Now prompts before adding to global cache - Changing status from the GameList now prompts before adding to global cache for "New" games - If you say no to adding any field to the global cache the game will remain in "New" mode. You must resolve the global cache before you can change it's status from "New". - Added new feature: Tools->Folder Scan. Scans a folder adding file list to GoodTool/NoIntro/TOSEC field. Can you test this feature for me Flash? Phew another large update but I did really like that Folder Scan idea so had to add it. Also fixed a couple of bugs at the same time. Let me know of any more bugs.
  14. Version 1.3 Released - Improved Performance Probably the last update on this for a while.
  15. I would make a post on BYOAC about this, there might be some other way to get the WinGun working in a newer version of Mame.
  16. Version 1.2 Released - Edit maps and test them in realtime using any attached joystick
  17. Yeah thats where I saw it on an ad here in OZ they are selling PS3's with this game for free. Dangling the carrot!
  18. I have a tonne of DOS games as well but hate how you have to set them up one by one in D-Fend. I wonder if there would be a way to automate making all the shortcuts? You know like WinUAE Loader how it uses the Gamebase Amiga database to configure WinUAE for each game. It would be cool to get a database of all the settings for DOS games so a program could generate all the lnk's automatically. I think I gave up after setting up a few games. If someone wants to make the database I could probably write the program to create the shortcuts. Any interest? Or does D-Fend Reloaded do that already (haven't checked it out yet)? I would love to have my entire DOS collection running through GX, it's one of the few sets I really want going but don't have set up yet.
  19. Wow platformers have come along way, this looks like it could be fun!
  20. You could probably apply the hiscore patch manually as diff files are human readable. Open up hi_108.diff in a text editor and it tells you the file and line positions of the code it changes. You can then go through and change it manually (a + at the start of a line means code is added and an ! is a line that is changed by the next line with a !). You can also just try and apply hi_108.diff to 104u6 and see if it works. Hiscore patches can often work on multiple versions of Mame even if the source code changes because it can adjust to code moving around in the file as long as it doesn't differ too much. So you might be in luck.
  21. Why do you want 104 and not 105?
  22. Sweet! Nice work Brian!
  23. You shouldn't need to do that using Mame Compiler. Have you got the latest version? It installs all the files needed to compile and automatically sets all the paths for you. All you have to do is make sure you have the source code path set. Why are you using a "u" release? Try compiling 105 instead of 104u4. Any particular reason your using 104u4? If you have to use a "u" release are you applying the source updates correctly?
  24. Sorry I didn't get back to you earlier BK Mame Compiler has been tested with Mame 0105 with "Disable Warnings as Errors" option enabled and it compiled successfully. I think that's the earliest version I tested.
  25. Well .NET is supposed to manage memory rather well with it's automatic garbage collector, but I guess there could be a resource leak somewhere in the GDI code. I try my best to clean everything up but I guess there could be something. I might need to go through and check everything.
