The best way I can help is if you provide more info such as screenshots, also some files that help are the mame.ini the default.cfg and [rom].cfg from Mame's root and cfg dir. If your using a ctrlr include that from the ctrlr folder. CPWizard.log and CPWizard.ini as well as your layout xml file zipped up and attached and I'll take a look.
There are several things you can do, either point it to a .bat file and launch that instead. Inside the batch you can launch all the other programs you want. You can use AutoIt/AutoHotkey instead so it doesn't display a command prompt. There is also a "Startup" folder where you can place shortcuts that will launch on startup. The folder is usually "C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Start Menu\Programs\Startup". To be honest I'm not sure if these programs get launched when explorer.exe is not set to launch. Give it a try anyway. Finally you can run programs as a service instead. There are a couple of programs that can help you do this, so check out the following link http://wiki.arcadecontrols.com/wiki/Utilit...es_as_a_Service
JellyBelly, you might as well e-mail your changes in the future that way I can make sure they are all kept in one place. PS I'm working on some of those updates you requested for DBM today
Version 1.1.3 Released - Added Joystick support You can also enter passwords using joysticks as it's translated into a keycode. For example you could have a password that is Button 3, Up, Down, Up, Down etc.
There are a few Amiga Fanatics around here, me included This question has been asked quite a few times so I will give the answer I always give. The guy who created the GameBase Amiga (Belgarath) is the guy you need to ask for an update as he is the one who painstakenly created the database used in WinUAE Loader. The best way (I know of) to get more info about it is at http://eab.abime.net. I also would love to get an updated database that covers the full whdload set. Some games that are currently not available in the whdload set are available in the GameBase set, so you might want to set that up and merge it so you have an extra 4953 games.
wolfsoft has kindly translated the documentation on building the LED version of the rotating monitor hardware. I've attached it to the first post, so now there are instructions on building both the LPT or LED model of the rotate hardware. The plugin included in GameEx supports both methods.
Thanks Lawrence I have downloaded them all. I will remove them as I get them so I don't lose track of what has been updated. So all the latest data files should be there when I do the next update to DBM. I'm also looking at implementing some of your ideas for DBM in the next release which shouldn't be too far away
Thanks Ede, that's awesome. I have attached the document to the first post in pdf format. I've also contact wolfsoft about getting the LED documentation converted to English and he said he would do that also. So that is fantastic we will have two methods of rotating monitors using hardware now
I would give it a try but I know Tom sent out new keys recently so it may not work. I had to replace mine for it to work again. If you have any problems e-mail Tom directly and he will sort you out. Oh and welcome back
I PM'ed the two guys who requested the rotating plugin about the two tutorials on creating the parallel and LED hardware used to rotate a monitor. The documents were in German so I'm hoping they can give us some translated docs so others can build such a system for their own cabs.
Yes theres definately a problem in GameEx because the Event_CommandLine method should only be sent to Version 1.40 plugins. The PlugInLCD is a Version 1.30 plugin. Hopefully Tom will fix this as soon as he gets a chance.
zx12rcarl: I may add desktop hiding in a future release. Version 1.1.2 has been released and when the next version of GameEx is released you will have a new option in the Exit/Shutdown menu to "Log out [username]". Selecting this option will log out the current user and bring you back to the Login screen where you can select another user.
