  1. It does work on a DS Link infact it should work on most cards. I have a DS Link and just tried it and it works fine. On older cards you have to manually DLDI patch the game. Go to http://chishm.drunkencoders.com/DLDI/ and download dlms3.dldi (which is the DS Link v3 patch) and then download the patching tool (dlditool) on the same site (get the GUI version it's easier), apply the patch and it should work fine
  2. GameEx will work with any MCE compatible remote, and I suspect any remote since most of them can be used as keyboard input in Windows.
  3. It converts sid tunes, cool
  4. This has been fixed in version 1.89
  5. No need to double post. This is answered in the Theme Editor thread.
  6. Tom never ended up implementing support for "Custom Module Layouts" and infact asked me to remove the option from the last release of the Theme Editor. So you can't do that for now I'm afraid.
  7. It's impossible to TorrentZip the same file and it not have the same CRC. It creates the exact same file and that is why it's used for resuming torrents. And if two people download the same file from the same website, how can the CRC be different? Unless they have been rezipped and reuploaded. If you both go to the website now and download the same file.. hang on a sec. I think I know what is happening here. The KillerGorilla sets are in packs and zipped up. To use TorrentZip you would need to uzip all the packs then run TorrentZip on the set, it will unzip then rezip them all. Then the crc's should definately match. I'm guessing if your using different unzip apps it might cause a different crc. Try downloading the same version of 7Zip and unzip them and see if the crc's match. If not run TorrentZip on them.
  8. You're correct but most people will want to have their games zipped. The way around this would be to use TorrentZip which will ensure that all games have a matching CRC value, or make sure everyone uses KillerGorilla's zipped set and then the CRC will always match then too.
  9. We just made "Remake of the month" in RetroGamer Issue #68
  10. Actually that area of CPWizard has been neglected alot. Some emulators such as Project 64 don't like to be minimized. It does this wierd thing where it's window splits into two. I don't know why I have a Project 64 example because I'm guessing most emulators behave normally when you minimize and maximize them. But I haven't played around with it for a while sorry. I did want to improve this feature but I was hoping that other people could help get profiles made up for all the emulators that do work and then figure out how to get the rest working. Then there is also the fact that there are no official databases for emulators that show the controls for each game although I did start creating one based on data I had gotten from allgame.com. CPWizard an of course show a layout based on data sent from the command line, so there is always that method to show the controls if the emu has issues being minimized.
  11. Why would you want to unzip them?
  12. Congrats Temp
  13. Looks like there was an introduced bug in 1.71. Please try WinUAE Loader v1.72. I've also modified it so it doesn't matter if you have your screenshots in subfolders or not. Can you please confirm if it works for you or not?
  14. What type of artwork are you converting? Where did you get the artwork? Is your artwork in folders? (ie. Folders of the alphabet)
  15. Run the Setup Wizard and select Custom->Joystick Input and set the options there.
  16. Aparently Warhawk DS is doing very well in this competition and we may actually come out number one as the best homebrew software for the Nintendo DS. Please if you get the chance check out the game and vote for us. We are very proud of this game and would love to see it get a place in this comp. Simply click on this link and leave a comment voting Warhawk DS for 3 points.
  17. Your better off uninstalling ffdshow and installing the Vista Codec Pack which includes all the codecs you will ever need including ffdshow (it also works on XP). See if that works first and if there are still problems find out what format your videos are in by playing one in WMP and checking out the properties. If they are XVid format find out what codec is set to play that codec by running the Vista Codec Pack's Settings application. From there select "XviD decoder config" (for example) and try some of those settings (like turning off the "compatibility renderer"). But I have a feeling just installing the Vista Codec Pack will fix your problem.
  18. Have you seen my Mame Analog Joystick Map Editor? It contains a map for Q-Bert.
  19. You know that you can set Mame to exit on a key combo? Of course there is no timer function though.
  20. Perhaps you need to do a list update after making changes? Perhaps try deleting the *.cache files from the GameEx\DATA folder. I'm really not entirely sure if GameEx caches the database info or not. Perhaps Tom can give a definitive answer here as there have been a few questions related to this lately.
  21. Currently there is no way to do this in the plugin. Can you give me an example of how you would like to configure this for specific games?
  22. It supports digit output to LCD screens and led or lamp outputs to LED's.
  23. Unfortunately we don't make DBM available publicly. You can edit the databases in Microsoft Access or I'm sure there are freeware apps around that allow you to edit .mdb files.
  24. Arrghhh my eyes my beautiful eyes! I don't know if I like the default new look? I'm sure I can change my personal theme in preferences but do you guys seriously like the default new look?
  25. You can ban members Adultery, when you view the members profile click on the little red icon next to "Warn" which is in the "Personal Info" panel on the left. From there you can set to "Disable indefinitely" their posting ability.
