  1. That is one sweet setup

What have you got your "DVD MPEG 2 Codec" setting set to? Also do you have "DVD use FFDSHOW" set? These are under HTPC / Multimedia->DVD Settings.
  3. It is not actually a setting. What it does is set other settings based on what you click. I guess I could have it as it's own setting so it will save but it's not an issue. As for the #2 that is just data Tom has left in the GameEx.ini file.
  4. Fixed. Should be in next release
  5. One thing you can check is in GameEx\PLUGINS there is a file called PlugInUltraStik.ini. Remove the # from the #Debug=true line and it should output a PlugInUltraStik.log file. See if it is producing any errors.
  6. Thanks for the kind words from pears and apples alike The Setup Wizard started out as a humble project to solve a common problem in how to make setting up a FE as easy a possible. Granted I don't think there will ever be a universal standard for setting up emulators (although wouldn't that be great?) I think the Setup Wizard takes as much paid out of the process as possible. There have been tonnes of ideas from the community gone into it and I think we really do have the best FE and setup software around. Thanks to this great community of friends and the legendary Tom I'm happy to hang around for a while if y'all are happy to have me
  7. I don't think it was mentioned in the official release notes, no sorry. Anyway glad to hear it's working for you now
  8. It thought I fixed this? You sent me your GameEx.ini and custommenu.ini files and sorting them seemed to work okay for me. Can you give an example that I can replicate?
  9. Arigato fellas
  10. Try re-installing the .NET 2.0 Framework
  11. You guys might also be interested in ZincCab by Space Fractal.
  12. Actually I just realised his AutoHotkey script only remaps a few keys so it shouldn't matter what the current directory is. Adultery is most likely right that there is a problem using "start" to launch it. His batch file might help here.
  13. Maybe GameEx doesn't set the current directory for Daphne? Try moving the script to the Daphne's executable folder and launch it from there.
  14. I guess there would be no other way to do it. If you updated after your "free update" period is over and your registration key still worked you would still be getting free updates. So yeah I get what you're saying about not updating if you want to keep your registration after that period (or just purchase a lifetime key)
  15. Are you sure you can't include ffmpeg.exe? I know "Videora TiVo Converter" does so perhaps there is a way to include it without breaking its license. Generally Open Source software requires you to include the source code to any changes you make and include the license agreement with the software. This is to keep the application Open Source but does not require you to Open Source an application that uses it unless it is linked to your executable (either by a statically linked library or dll). Since you are using an unmodified binary which you call externally by command line you would most likely not be required to include any source code. I had a look at their license and it doesn't say anything about including the executable. I would contact them and ask. I notice they have a page dedicated to shaming developers who have broken their license so it's best to ask them to be sure. BTW In your app you call it FFMpeg but it's actually FFmpeg.
  16. Are you sure about this? I think the registration is for life but the "free updates" are either one to three years or a lifetime depending on the package you buy. So you will still have all features unlocked after your "free update" period is over which means you are still registered.
  17. What I think it means is you have the full registered version of GameEx for life and 1 year of updates. If after a year you want to continue receiving updates (and GameEx is updated often) then you may like to purchase another year of updates.
  18. Posted from BYOAC
  19. Thanks for the info, I'll update the Dolphin profiles.
  20. At one point Tom was going to setup a server for doing this back when HiToText first came out. The main issue was always how easy it would be to cheat. It wouldn't be hard to implement this feature though.
  21. If you run the Setup Wizard and change the setting, exit and run the Setup Wizard again is the setting still changed?
  22. Looks like there is a problem with the config. Try changing the following: Command=nostalgia.exe "[ROMPATH]\[ROMFILE]" WaitBeforeKeys=500 SendKeys=%(~) I'm not sure if the SendKeys is necessary so let us know if it is or not. Thanks to Adultery for this info here (I'm sorry mate I must have forgot to update it!)
  23. I thought Tom fixed this? Are you running Windows 7? I had this problem when the UAC dialog would popup messing up it's maximize. Try alt-tabbing to the UAC dialog and give it permission and/or alt-tab to the Setup Wizard window.
  24. Hey Sokky! Welcome to the GameEx forums mate!
  25. I used your GameEx.ini and CustomMenu.ini. I just disabled every emulator except for the Interactive Fiction and made up a dummy emulator exe and ROM file. I then turned on the "Use Database Name" option. Attached you will see two screenshots. One shows the ROM name and one shows the database name. I kept restarting GameEx and it seemed to be random which one would show.
